God I love the moon river part. I love that song and was absolutely surprised to see they put it in the show. It was better than how I imagined that song would be composed into field show songs.
I watch blue devils and I think wow how they do it in time visually and musically everytime it's almost like old DCI sometimes 2 that's something I def liked this year was the traditional flares to every show they were all over the place if you looked for them we also had a very good cocktail of modern creativity and traditional imo this year lots more variety like that really makes DCI stand out
Yeah pretty much, the first place corp plays their show again right after the awards ceremony. It’s a lot more fun, cuz the marchers aren’t as stressed about playing well, and they can wear head cams and stuff
after the 12 corps perform they all come back to the field about 30 mins after the last show (retreat) for the award ceremony. After award ceremony the winning corps brings all of their props back to the field and perform again. Its like the best show because you can find what ever seat you want because most people leave.

How many songs have lyrics that reference experiences that are personal to the singer, or reference other works of music or literature? How many pieces of art are uninterpretable without understanding the wider context of art at the time? How many movies explicitly reference other movies? If you're not willing to put in the work to understand art, that's your own fault, not the fault of the art. Meaning by reference is an established tenet of all forms of art at this point.
