I've been wanting a tank spec for shamans since vanilla. There are 4 elements so I think it makes since to have for talent trees, like druids. Air = Enhancement (Windfury) Fire = Elemental (Lava Burst) Water = Restoration (Healing Rain) Earth = Tank (Stone Armor) I would really love this.
BellularGaming made an interesting observation: Ethereals recently got updated graphics, with significant differences in gear worn. It'd be weird for Blizz to do that for one little half-patch, and not do anything with it further. Maybe playable ethereals?
They made a Zone and a Dungeon filled with ethereals in a place with only new models. would you want those old TBC models? no. so they made new ones. Bellular is speculating and his point was weak.
i'd think the ethereals are going to be more of a main focus in the next expansion we're going to have shit going on with the old gods and the ethereals pretty much the herbringers of the shadow being the opposites of the naaru drawn to the shadows

Ever since Tradechat was on TGS podcast (which is when Sim City just came out) I've grown to love this channel. Everything she does feels super engaging and fun as hell. Its like hanging out with a friend. The Tradechat fans are some of the nicest people I've seen too. Thankful that Total Biscuit had her on. Tradechat, if you read this, you are one of the best. This seems like the best thing for them to do. An easy way to add a lot of customization to the current roster of races because the sub-races added to the game already use the default races animations, and all they'd really have to do is fix helmets and such.

So part of me really thinks that they will announce the Tinker class next expansion. I'm not sure if anyone remembers this, but Survival Hunters had a 100 talent called Sentry Turret that made its way into the Legion alpha. Unfortunately, it was removed shortly after. Maybe, just maybe, they planned on saving it for another class. Having an engineering goggle wearing, turret using, steampunk-esque dwarf in WoW is all I want in life tbh :]
Dude, my DREAM is playing as a Goblin Shredder Pilot lol. Back in the pre-Legion invasions, the Gadgetzan invasion had shredders you could get into to fight and it was the bee's knees. Very similar to the Light Mech world quest in Krokun.
dont the Demon Hunters have a rogue faction of Naga that they work with, Queen Vashj who joined illidan, maybe out playable naga are part of that group
Well, lets look at Blizzards track record over the years for expansions......(TBC) Two new playable races, (WotLK) A new playable class, (CATA) Two playable races, (MoP) A new playable class, (Dreanor) Was supposed to get two new playable races but didn't we got Garrisons as a compromise and they gave us Pandarian race in MoP, (Legion) we got a new playable class. So what I'm getting at is Blizzard has for the most part followed a pattern over the many years and if the pattern hold true new playable races are a very strong possibility. As for Naga being a bad playable race I don't think they are they have a lush full history with other races of Azeroth and have a deep connection with the Elven race. As for their tails being a problem well that's easy they would have an ability just like the Worgens do Queen Azshara demonstrated transforming in Azsuna on Broken Isles. Also I do love the Idea of a new Tinker class I think that would be fun and would give the Goblins and Gnomes a chance to shine showing what they really can do. Blizzards may just give a new class and one playable race that's shared between horde and alliance like they did in MoP I guess we'll have to just wait and see.
When it comes to Genre Blizzard is missing an Action-Adventure/RPG game for Single Player. Something like the Arkham Series or Shadows of Mordor or maybe the Assassin's Creed Series or The Witcher or something in that area. All games Blizz made had some kind of Multiplayer but this genre would be so awesome if developed by Blizz. I still hope they will bring something like this at some point no matter what IP it will be in.
This is very random of my, but I wish they would retexture the worgen and goblins just enough so that they match more with the more updated character models.
Another thing. It would not be difficult to make every race neutral with ability to choose to side with either horde or alliance. You can choose for BG just like you can choose to be tank healer or dps, horde or alliance if your neutral. Or choose like pandaren to be horde or alliance. Every starting zone will need to be revamped but being able to choose would be amazing! Also Sub races... if Aszhara is throwing a global wobbler then all sub races will be involved. Also implementing like legion every zone in Azeroth scaling to level! These would make for a better fan service, a great expac launch! Also stat squish, and a more sensible option from that point onwards!
I don't think, that this is possible to predict at least clear direction of the new expansion. The whole naga, Nzot and Azhara theme is around since... 2015. But we've got Legion. I remember whole speculation about "Eye of Azshara leak" and hillarious trolls by blizzard, making eye of Azshara just a dungeon. Also, i didn't find anything about WoD prediction. Mists was huge surprise, as every single expansion before. So, it could be naga themed, or ethereal and void themed. Or something else. And i don't believe in Tinker, because we just got DH. New race or sub races are 100% possible. But this video is still cool. Nice job.
Naga are loyal to their Queen, but not controlled by her, so they could easily split away, however I don't see how the Naga could be a thing, when designing armor for them would require balancing around a class that doesn't have all the slots that other classes have. Just my two cents.
I'm going with the theory that Horde, and Alliance won't be enemies, and people within the factions will be able to choose the Light, or the Void.. Those will be the new warring factions. This will allow Horde, and Alliance members to raid together because they won't be enemies anymore. It will make more sense too considering right now you are practically working along side each other.
For me its mainly hard to say its gonna be accurate because we just got demon hunters, do you really think Blizz will put in a brand new race and a brand new class? I personally don't. Especially naga as the way they'd have to rearrange all armor designs for them would be a massive undertaking. Who knows though right?! I mean cataclysm happened.
Naga seems...kind of a weird Idea for a new Race.... I mean could you Imagine how it would look when they Use Mounts ? Wouldn't it be awkward to see them ride on Motorcycle ?
Azshara could change form form naga to elf (as seen when she met up with Farondis during that quest)... they probably have more strength as naga so they wouldn't want to, but could change to mount...(sort of how the centaur character in the video game Golden Axe 2 would when she mounted up...she became fully human and when the mount wore off / died, back to centaur) Worgens can change from worgen to human so the thought of changing racial form isn't new. As for how "armor" would look... pants / leggings could be skirt-like or just something below a belt... as for "shoes" - you couldn't tell what shoes tauren, draenei, troll or worgen wear... so perhaps as some kind of protective padding around the lower tail area.

IF we were to get a fish-like race as a playable race, I feel like the Jinyu from MoP would be a more likely choice than Naga, simply because the Jinyu are more..humanoid. LEGS. But I really don't know how the jinyu could possibly be a central part of the lore again x) They weren't even that big of a deal in MoP either.
I'm hoping the next expansion is the south seas Ashara expansion. I can't see Queen Ashara, who finally showed herself after many years, not taking advantage of the majority of Azeroth's heroes leaving the world at the same time. Also I hope if subraces are put in Blizz doesn't charge for changing to a sub race. As it is a number of the charge services need to done away with and just made free, like renaming a character or guild for example.
Got to be honest, I've never understood the fascination with Tinker as a class. I even play a gnome and love engineering, but I guess it just feels like an extension of engineering, which is something I've been having fun with since the beginning of the game. I've shot rockets, blasted death rays, shrunk people, thrown explosives, rocket boosted, and we've rode plenty of vehicles. Meh, wouldn't dislike seeing them, but I feel like there could be more interesting classes/specs added.
I’d totally agree with that expansion leak, I adore gnomes and tinkers, if it weren’t for the “Alliance and Horde just band together” line. Theres no way they would work together after everything in Legion. Sylvanas has no reason to help the Alliance, Jaina is basically confirmed as the main Alliance character, and she won’t work with them for anything. It’s a convincing leak though.
Blizzard has said that the naga may or may not have multiple factions some of which may not see eye to eye. As for armor, same concept as trolls, tauren and draeinei with the boot only showing on the ankles, the boot could show on the lower part of their tail, leg could show on the rest of it. Their back fin can poke through the armor similar to tauren horns or troll tusks. I WANT NAGA :(
I would love the new expansion to also have more Wrathion, with an updated appearance so he's not so ugly looking. It saddens me he came in Mists, and I personally have yet to see him since, which is very disheartening since he felt like he was building up to something bigger in the story. Though assuming the next expansion is about the old gods and possibly our world coming to an end, something Wrathion predicted to be so, he really should show up again.
I kind of hope that if we get a Void based expansion. They give us choices to make that either makes us bad or good. And when we reach 120 (or whatever the new level cap is) that our decisions show and we become like Light or Void versions of our classes.
There was another rumor, at level cap you'd be able to do a quest that opens access to grouping with those opposing faction. I want this more than anything to be able to pally my main Alliance pally with my Horde friends.
The Kul Tiras expansion is likely and makes sense, but would be weird if Blizzard just glances over and ignores the main void threat buildup they've done with the Mac'Aree quest line.
To your point about Naga being controlled by Azshara and it not making sense... Forsaken are just Undead that have broken free from the LichKing and we've been using them to fight Undead since day one. I agree with you that Naga's would be whack - just wanted to throw that out there :)
I think the sub races would be the best option at this point. It would add more diversity and options. Not sure what route a few of the races would go as far as sub races go...but it would be neat for sure lol
Sub-races, more customizations features, tinker class, revamp the old world from Cata to Next expansion, guild halls etc etc. all of those seam perfect, and also maybe more specializations for classes (ex Void/Shadow hunters, Rune magic tippe thing for mages and DK etc.) that would make this game more perfect But it would seam to much to ask Blizzard to do. Especially this days :-(
I'm really hoping that Blizz focuses more on the PvP side of the game next xpac. Legion PvP isn't... terrible... but it's definitely got it's flaws. The whole "ilvl is the only thing that matters" and "everyone should be scaled down to the same 'level' for balance" mindset hasn't made too many fans. I love the PvE side of the game. It is phenomenal. However, I really miss having a toon specifically set aside for Battlegrounds and Arenas. I just can't find the interest to do it when the gear that I grind for only gives me a marginal increase over my lesser geared opponents. Time invested should be rewarded (more than just cosmetically!)
We need Naga as a class. It is far, far more important than a silly little class focused on the midget people. :/ And it makes a good deal of sense that we have Naga as allies. Not everyone can be happy with Azshara's rule, and even if we don't go that way, there is still the Naga that serves the Demon Hunters. They're allies that could be getting into their own power as well.
I don't buy into ''leaks'' that have rubbish titles. The Burning crusade, Wrath of the lich king, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, all fitting names, World of warcraft: Rise of the Naga empire? Nope. The shortened names for each were: TBC, Wrath, Cata, Mists/mop, Warlords/wod and legion didn't need one. They like to have a name that rolls off of the tongue, what on earth would we call Rise of the naga empire?
There were few "leaks" and this one is the least likely among them (with tinkers - for the longest time blizz treats engineering as substitute for that class , naga as playable race - no legs issues with old gear). In different leak there were some interesting thoughts tough, like: -more customisation with sub-races -new garrison/order hall space would be far more personalised battleships -main focus of the expansion being conflicts between individual races, rather than full on HvA war (and different developments for each race) -and the rest was just stuff we gotten out of the whispers anyway (like Magni serving Old Gods)

I think you're spot on with the sub races. It's long requested. I think the Nightborn will join up with the Blood Elves (they're so similar; even tragedy wise), and I think that will finally give us a Silvermoon update. Beautiful textures of Suramar in Silvermoon. As far as the Tinker.... I'm not sure. I'm not sure why that'd be the immediate go-to class for Naga / Old God defense. I'd say we'll be getting the dark ranger (Alleria AND if you remember Sylvanas even says Nathanos is training new rangers at the start of the Stormheim campaign).
(Don't usually comment on this stuff, but...) I think we may be getting more class/race options. If you go back to some of the order halls and look about (I.E.-Pally class hall we have a follower who is a nightelf). I know some of the other class halls have had that as well (can't think of any others off the top of my head, as I've mained my pally and shammy and haven't really touched any of my other alts). Just a thought to the universe. Enjoy.

That description sounds cool for story but the new class/race doesn't work at all. Why would they have the big new race not be able to be the new class? And limiting the class to two races wouldn't work either, that's too limited there would be such a small population to the class.
I guess you've forgotten about the fact that Illidan has his own naga forces that are independent from Azshara. I think that Naga is more likely than Tinkerer considering what we're all assuming the next xpac's theme is gonna be
Im not thinking new race per say, but rather expanded race options for existing races. Adding Suramar Elf skins to Night Elves and/or Blood Elves, orcs getting Dreanor skins or Dragonmaw, Tauren getting Highmoutain horns or Taunka skins etc. Not every race would have optional sub races, so maybe increased hair and face options for them?
Naga pants could just be from the waist to the ground, and the boots could be a tail tip. It's more than possible to make it work. As for them riding mounts, maybe just make it like druids or shamans and give them their own ability to travel without a mount. Maybe give them a shapeshifting into a serpent "spell" where they slither extra fast until recast? Either way, ethereal and Naga races would be pretty awesome. I was hoping for aarakoa and ogre from draenor or broken and reformed demon from legion but alas we only got classes and crap. We NEED a new race AND subraces for this expack.
I just can't buy into the idea of naga as a playable race ever happening. Between the armor display issues and especially the issues with making a legless model work with mounts, it just doesn't make any sense. It's just too problematic to try and code for to be worth the effort for Blizzard. I am TOTALLY down for a tinker class, though. 1000%, we wants it, we does! The possibilities for some really cool, new specs is just too damn good. Not just a mech-based spec, which would be epic in its own right, but other gadget-based specs. If it was me, I would go with something like a mech-based melee spec (Mechnomancer), a turret-based physical ranged 'pet' spec (Engineer), a bombs & gadgets-based short range aoe/cleave and utility spec (Grenadier), and a force shield-based damage denial type healer spec (Combat Medic). In addition to sharing rifles with hunters, it would be interesting if Blizz introduced pistols as an alternative weapon for tinkers. Make them faster and dual-wieldable, but shorter ranged and less damage per hit, say. Maybe make them specific to the Grenadier and Combat Medic specs.
Sub races is an incredibly smart way of freshening up the races without a whole lot of effort. GUILD HOUSES/bases!, this might be the saving grace of any expansion that comes after legion. Guilds really need something to freshen them up. It would really have to work though, otherwise it has the potential to be a bigger fail than garrisons! And messing up a major game mechanic like that would sink the whole expansion.
Looks like someone forgot we got Naga Illidari. So it is very possible to write Naga in they just have to figure out if they are going to hide the incompatible armor or just take it out all together.
Lore wise, the Naga are completely free willed. Most of them tend to worship Queen Azshara with a zealous loyalty though. In Legion, we do see some Naga joining the Legion independently, and Illidan seems to speak about them with some level of respect when he blames the leaders for guiding them astray. Possibly because of his own Naga allies. In cataclysm, there was an interesting moment when the Naga in Vash'jir refer to the Faceless as 'allies' and speak as if they were merely in an agreement. As strange as that is, it may mean that N'zoth does not have absolute control over the Naga either , perhaps only over Azshara. It would be entirely possible for there to be some Naga who decide to rebel against Azshara and the Old Gods, and I'd go as far as saying that if they are not used as a playable race, then at very least there will be a friendly faction of them.
Personally if Naga are a playable race for both factions they might make them be almost like Queen Azshara where she was able to shift into her elfy form. And in the water they transform into their Naga'ish selves.
Tinker would make sense. We haven't gotten a ranged class in a while and I wouldn't be suprised if Blizzard came up with something completly new like a class that can go ranged and melee whenever they feel like it. Stationary with turret would be ranged and mobile with a Wrench would be melee. That's just an idea that opens up to a lot of possibilities. Mounted fighting robots, pets, attached rockets instead of guns/bows
There are Naga that work with the Illidari. They aren't mindless so much as adhere to a strong social/command structure. I agree with you that naga won't be a player race, just not for the reason you said.
I think the sub race idea is better than a totally new race, gives new story lines, ability for different or modified racial traits and have a new / possible new home area for that sub race.
If they do add Naga in as a player race, it would probably be a sub-race of Naga that grew legs at some point. Kinda like a miniature version of the Naga Brutes on the Broken Shore. ...If that were the case, I'd probably race change to Naga. I've been wanting a decent reptilian race in WoW, since I originally came from Star Wars Galaxies as a Trandoshan and Everquest as Iskar. When it comes to a new class, I'd MUCH prefer a Bard over the Tinker.
Blizz already said they won't make a 'beast' like race because updating tmogs etc would be too much work so I don't think naga is going to be a new race.
Azshara did have a "thing" for Sargeras. (helped him get the legion to Azeroth and things) Since it sounds like at the end of legion we will take down/seal Sargeras. I feel it is only natural that the angry naga queen will want to take a revenge hit on the Horde and Alliance
Naga were a twisted form of the elves, so the only way around this i can see is if they pull a "worgen" style shape shift on the Night elf and blood elf races that would somehow be able to shift in and out of their cursed form.
Ogres need to be playable. Blizz keeps wanting to give them to the Horde, since Lore wise there is a Ogre clan that works with the Horde. But the goblins ruined that, those sneaky pesky green cheats.
I actually bought a Blizzcon virtual ticket for the first time ever, and took some vacation time to boot so I'm all set! A new tinker class would be all I needed to hear, never mind a new expansion.
IMO Nagas are much more probable than "Tinker" class... it somehow does feel to specific to be class. And How class would spend most of their time on mount ? On vechicle ? This does not sounds mechanically well in WoW.
Having heard Nobbel mention it first, and now you, I think this pants on the Naga thing might be bothering folks quite a bit. Plus, they've kind of been the bad guys since WarCraft III, and having Blizzard shoehorn them into the story as "good" now doesn't make a lot of sense.. It'd be like getting Satyrs as a playable race. Both them and the Naga were Elves at one point, but who each lost their existence through being enslaved by greater powers (the Legion, Old Gods, etc.) It's good to know a specific role will be given to Gnomes and Goblins, as it sometimes feels like their stories kind of get lost in the the bigger picture. I for one don't understand why Blizzard wouldn't use the Nightborne assets from the game. They have a complicated history and can be made to have common quests up to a point, followed by choosing a faction, like the Panadaren were. That and it would round up the playable Elven races in WoW, since you have Night Elves already, the Blood Elves from BC and now these guys. And they could wear fabulous pants, no doubt. And lastly, if there's one thing you learn in Suramar, it's how much they all hate Azshara for what she did to them, so it would tie in to the story very well. If they're so bent on this Naga thing, give the Nightborne some kind of racial, like the Worgen, that allows them to turn into a Naga at will to improve swim speed, eliminate underwater breathing, gain some Attack Power, etc.), since the plan is to have this whole aquatic theme to the expansion.
As a Diablo fan, I'm bummed it looks like it'll mostly be absent unless Blizzard has a surprise for us. But I'm super excited for a WoW expansion. ESPORTS Roll Out!

The idea of naga as a playable race seems unlikely. That doesn't mean that they couldn't pull something out of their asses and make an 'amphibian' race. I would like an expansion like Danielle describes but I think the whole Void / Old God / Ethereals thing is where the focus will land. Also, think back to the detailed South Sea expansion that was 'leaked' before Legion....that didn't happen either.
Naga are just corrupted Night Elves, there's no reason there can't be neutral factions of Naga. They'll likely never be a playable race but I can certainly see some Naga faction that'll be something we need to gain faction reputation with. That is, they are not a hive mind tied to Azshara.
I think that "leak" is a hoax or a troll. But, an Azshara themed expansion feels extremely likely because of the in-game stuff. Also not likely to get a new class 2 expansions in a row, more likely to get a new race, but sub races would be cool as well as much more extensive character options, like a color slider for eye color, height/weight options, bust size ;) :P , etc.
So as cool as a Tinkerer sounds there's only one problem I see with this idea (Personal opinion based on what I've seen in game) . Is we are talking about taking Gnomes and Goblins which one two of the lesser played races. ( I mean look at the Pandaren it was an almost complete fail) So trying to take two more races that not a lot of people play and try to give them a whole new class I don't know how well this will work out. Granted I could see this happening cause you look at the Gnome Hunters which brought us mec pets. So the idea of a mec based class could very well happen, but I think the make it or break it deal on it is that the class would have to be a hero class. (talking 1-120ish now. Not many people want to level that) and they may want to look into the possibility of seeing if they can allow other races as a Tinkerer. Other then that I cant see any other problems with the idea, and it would also give us a possible new ranged class as well which a lot of people have wanted.
So, something interesting is that the Magni Scenario has a map. We all know its under silithus but there is something interesting with Ungoro. On that map file ungoro is flooded.
I have always wanted them to do away with the flight points and put Kirin Tor mages in their place that will port you for the same fee you used to pay the flight master. I know Blizz wants you to have to fly on FP's so they can show off their awesome world, and I get that, but the world is getting huge now. Since they put portals in for the Argus content, I'm hoping they start to incorporate more of that on Azeroth... although I'm sure the only reason they did it on Argus was so they didn't have to add all the art they would have to add for flying over everything in Argus.
It seems more likely that if a new race was on the table it would be an offshoot of the Naga race. Who knows what exactly the Naga empire consists of. They may have amphibian like elves they've enslaved that will revolt and run to the factions when the naga empire rises from the depths. Or maybe its Murlochs. Murlochs are the new playable race guys.
I'm super hype for an expansion announcement. My thoughts pretty much mirror most of yours honestly. I'd be down for more character customization and sub races. Maybe half-elf humans...height sliders? Nightborn? Plz Blizz! Tinker would be a cool addition, but I'm a DK main for life heh. Also, I've been watching your content for what seems like 10,000 years Panser, so I just wanted to say keep being awesome! Your content is great, so keep your head up and keep moving forward! I definitely aggree with sub-races. I don't really like the Naga as much. I see them as just baddies all around like the Satyrs. I've also heard others mention Tinkers which would finally give Blizz a reason to put Gobs / Gnomes in a cinematic!
engineers being able to craft single and multiple person submarine mounts would be cool too. A chopper esque jet ski maybe? then they could have beach party events during the summer festival with tickets like the Darkmoon festival and they could have different swim suits and board short as costume pieces or for transmog. games like surfing and Ale pong with different mechanics for each mini game. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

It seems to me that there are so many people who do not understand how pants and boots would be on Naga.. As they do not have legs and feet. Easy! We have races in the game that does not have boots shown.. So NO problem there. As for the legs. They simply cover their back, running down their spine and out to the tail with the texture of the "leg item"

Ever since Tradechat was on TGS podcast (which is when Sim City just came out) I've grown to love this channel. Everything she does feels super engaging and fun as hell. It would be interesting to see sub-races that allow cross-faction play made available. Dark iron dwarves for the horde, etc.
This seems like the best thing for them to do. An easy way to add a lot of customization to the current roster of races because the sub-races added to the game already use the default races animations, and all they'd really have to do is fix helmets and such.
@wutsu that would be a bit awkward considering dark iron dwarves live in ironforge with the bronzebeards, and since theyve already proven willing to help the alliance

So part of me really thinks that they will announce the Tinker class next expansion. I'm not sure if anyone remembers this, but Survival Hunters had a 100 talent called Sentry Turret that made its way into the Legion alpha. Unfortunately, it was removed shortly after. Maybe, just maybe, they planned on saving it for another class. Having an engineering goggle wearing, turret using, steampunk-esque dwarf in WoW is all I want in life tbh :]
Dude, my DREAM is playing as a Goblin Shredder Pilot lol. Back in the pre-Legion invasions, the Gadgetzan invasion had shredders you could get into to fight and it was the bee's knees. Very similar to the Light Mech world quest in Krokun.

Well, lets look at Blizzards track record over the years for expansions......(TBC) Two new playable races, (WotLK) A new playable class, (CATA) Two playable races, (MoP) A new playable class, (Dreanor) Was supposed to get two new playable races but didn't we got Garrisons as a compromise and they gave us Pandarian race in MoP, (Legion) we got a new playable class. So what I'm getting at is Blizzard has for the most part followed a pattern over the many years and if the pattern hold true new playable races are a very strong possibility. As for Naga being a bad playable race I don't think they are they have a lush full history with other races of Azeroth and have a deep connection with the Elven race. As for their tails being a problem well that's easy they would have an ability just like the Worgens do Queen Azshara demonstrated transforming in Azsuna on Broken Isles. Also I do love the Idea of a new Tinker class I think that would be fun and would give the Goblins and Gnomes a chance to shine showing what they really can do. Blizzards may just give a new class and one playable race that's shared between horde and alliance like they did in MoP I guess we'll have to just wait and see.
When it comes to Genre Blizzard is missing an Action-Adventure/RPG game for Single Player. Something like the Arkham Series or Shadows of Mordor or maybe the Assassin's Creed Series or The Witcher or something in that area.
All games Blizz made had some kind of Multiplayer but this genre would be so awesome if developed by Blizz. I still hope they will bring something like this at some point no matter what IP it will be in.
This is very random of my, but I wish they would retexture the worgen and goblins just enough so that they match more with the more updated character models.
Another thing. It would not be difficult to make every race neutral with ability to choose to side with either horde or alliance. You can choose for BG just like you can choose to be tank healer or dps, horde or alliance if your neutral. Or choose like pandaren to be horde or alliance. Every starting zone will need to be revamped but being able to choose would be amazing! Also Sub races... if Aszhara is throwing a global wobbler then all sub races will be involved. Also implementing like legion every zone in Azeroth scaling to level! These would make for a better fan service, a great expac launch! Also stat squish, and a more sensible option from that point onwards!
I think e-sports is quickly catching up to "fake news" as words I am starting to utterly despise. All I am interested in is wow, nothing else.

The whole naga, Nzot and Azhara theme is around since... 2015. But we've got Legion. I remember whole speculation about "Eye of Azshara leak" and hillarious trolls by blizzard, making eye of Azshara just a dungeon.
Also, i didn't find anything about WoD prediction. Mists was huge surprise, as every single expansion before.
So, it could be naga themed, or ethereal and void themed. Or something else.
And i don't believe in Tinker, because we just got DH. New race or sub races are 100% possible.

Naga are loyal to their Queen, but not controlled by her, so they could easily split away, however I don't see how the Naga could be a thing, when designing armor for them would require balancing around a class that doesn't have all the slots that other classes have. Just my two cents.
I'm going with the theory that Horde, and Alliance won't be enemies, and people within the factions will be able to choose the Light, or the Void.. Those will be the new warring factions. This will allow Horde, and Alliance members to raid together because they won't be enemies anymore. It will make more sense too considering right now you are practically working along side each other.

For me its mainly hard to say its gonna be accurate because we just got demon hunters, do you really think Blizz will put in a brand new race and a brand new class? I personally don't. Especially naga as the way they'd have to rearrange all armor designs for them would be a massive undertaking. Who knows though right?! I mean cataclysm happened.

Azshara could change form form naga to elf (as seen when she met up with Farondis during that quest)... they probably have more strength as naga so they wouldn't want to, but could change to mount...(sort of how the centaur character in the video game Golden Axe 2 would when she mounted up...she became fully human and when the mount wore off / died, back to centaur) Worgens can change from worgen to human so the thought of changing racial form isn't new. As for how "armor" would look... pants / leggings could be skirt-like or just something below a belt... as for "shoes" - you couldn't tell what shoes tauren, draenei, troll or worgen wear... so perhaps as some kind of protective padding around the lower tail area.

IF we were to get a fish-like race as a playable race, I feel like the Jinyu from MoP would be a more likely choice than Naga, simply because the Jinyu are more..humanoid. LEGS. But I really don't know how the jinyu could possibly be a central part of the lore again x) They weren't even that big of a deal in MoP either.
I'm hoping the next expansion is the south seas Ashara expansion. I can't see Queen Ashara, who finally showed herself after many years, not taking advantage of the majority of Azeroth's heroes leaving the world at the same time. Also I hope if subraces are put in Blizz doesn't charge for changing to a sub race. As it is a number of the charge services need to done away with and just made free, like renaming a character or guild for example.

Got to be honest, I've never understood the fascination with Tinker as a class. I even play a gnome and love engineering, but I guess it just feels like an extension of engineering, which is something I've been having fun with since the beginning of the game. I've shot rockets, blasted death rays, shrunk people, thrown explosives, rocket boosted, and we've rode plenty of vehicles. Meh, wouldn't dislike seeing them, but I feel like there could be more interesting classes/specs added.
I’d totally agree with that expansion leak, I adore gnomes and tinkers, if it weren’t for the “Alliance and Horde just band together” line. Theres no way they would work together after everything in Legion. Sylvanas has no reason to help the Alliance, Jaina is basically confirmed as the main Alliance character, and she won’t work with them for anything. It’s a convincing leak though.
Blizzard has said that the naga may or may not have multiple factions some of which may not see eye to eye. As for armor, same concept as trolls, tauren and draeinei with the boot only showing on the ankles, the boot could show on the lower part of their tail, leg could show on the rest of it. Their back fin can poke through the armor similar to tauren horns or troll tusks. I WANT NAGA :(
I would love the new expansion to also have more Wrathion, with an updated appearance so he's not so ugly looking. It saddens me he came in Mists, and I personally have yet to see him since, which is very disheartening since he felt like he was building up to something bigger in the story. Though assuming the next expansion is about the old gods and possibly our world coming to an end, something Wrathion predicted to be so, he really should show up again.
I kind of hope that if we get a Void based expansion. They give us choices to make that either makes us bad or good. And when we reach 120 (or whatever the new level cap is) that our decisions show and we become like Light or Void versions of our classes.
There was another rumor, at level cap you'd be able to do a quest that opens access to grouping with those opposing faction. I want this more than anything to be able to pally my main Alliance pally with my Horde friends.

To your point about Naga being controlled by Azshara and it not making sense... Forsaken are just Undead that have broken free from the LichKing and we've been using them to fight Undead since day one. I agree with you that Naga's would be whack - just wanted to throw that out there :)
The Naga expac leak is the exact same info 'leaked' prior to the Legion announcement.

I think the sub races would be the best option at this point. It would add more diversity and options. Not sure what route a few of the races would go as far as sub races go...but it would be neat for sure lol
Malfurion even mentions something in EN about having time to defeat the Legion and focus on the old gods.
Sub-races, more customizations features, tinker class, revamp the old world from Cata to Next expansion, guild halls etc etc. all of those seam perfect, and also maybe more specializations for classes (ex Void/Shadow hunters, Rune magic tippe thing for mages and DK etc.) that would make this game more perfect
But it would seam to much to ask Blizzard to do. Especially this days :-(
I'm really hoping that Blizz focuses more on the PvP side of the game next xpac. Legion PvP isn't... terrible... but it's definitely got it's flaws. The whole "ilvl is the only thing that matters" and "everyone should be scaled down to the same 'level' for balance" mindset hasn't made too many fans. I love the PvE side of the game. It is phenomenal. However, I really miss having a toon specifically set aside for Battlegrounds and Arenas. I just can't find the interest to do it when the gear that I grind for only gives me a marginal increase over my lesser geared opponents. Time invested should be rewarded (more than just cosmetically!)
We need Naga as a class. It is far, far more important than a silly little class focused on the midget people. :/
And it makes a good deal of sense that we have Naga as allies. Not everyone can be happy with Azshara's rule, and even if we don't go that way, there is still the Naga that serves the Demon Hunters. They're allies that could be getting into their own power as well.
I don't buy into ''leaks'' that have rubbish titles. The Burning crusade, Wrath of the lich king, Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria, Warlords of Draenor, Legion, all fitting names, World of warcraft: Rise of the Naga empire? Nope.
The shortened names for each were: TBC, Wrath, Cata, Mists/mop, Warlords/wod and legion didn't need one. They like to have a name that rolls off of the tongue, what on earth would we call Rise of the naga empire?

There were few "leaks" and this one is the least likely among them (with tinkers - for the longest time blizz treats engineering as substitute for that class , naga as playable race - no legs issues with old gear).
In different leak there were some interesting thoughts tough, like:
-more customisation with sub-races
-new garrison/order hall space would be far more personalised battleships
-main focus of the expansion being conflicts between individual races, rather than full on HvA war (and different developments for each race)
-and the rest was just stuff we gotten out of the whispers anyway (like Magni serving Old Gods)

I think you're spot on with the sub races. It's long requested. I think the Nightborn will join up with the Blood Elves (they're so similar; even tragedy wise), and I think that will finally give us a Silvermoon update. Beautiful textures of Suramar in Silvermoon. As far as the Tinker.... I'm not sure. I'm not sure why that'd be the immediate go-to class for Naga / Old God defense. I'd say we'll be getting the dark ranger (Alleria AND if you remember Sylvanas even says Nathanos is training new rangers at the start of the Stormheim campaign).
(Don't usually comment on this stuff, but...) I think we may be getting more class/race options. If you go back to some of the order halls and look about (I.E.-Pally class hall we have a follower who is a nightelf). I know some of the other class halls have had that as well (can't think of any others off the top of my head, as I've mained my pally and shammy and haven't really touched any of my other alts). Just a thought to the universe. Enjoy.
It's nice to see someone that doesn't like the idea of naga being playable as much as me. Never liked that idea, never will and if blizzard adds it to the game I might rage a bit lol

That description sounds cool for story but the new class/race doesn't work at all. Why would they have the big new race not be able to be the new class? And limiting the class to two races wouldn't work either, that's too limited there would be such a small population to the class.
I guess you've forgotten about the fact that Illidan has his own naga forces that are independent from Azshara. I think that Naga is more likely than Tinkerer considering what we're all assuming the next xpac's theme is gonna be
Im not thinking new race per say, but rather expanded race options for existing races. Adding Suramar Elf skins to Night Elves and/or Blood Elves, orcs getting Dreanor skins or Dragonmaw, Tauren getting Highmoutain horns or Taunka skins etc. Not every race would have optional sub races, so maybe increased hair and face options for them?

Naga pants could just be from the waist to the ground, and the boots could be a tail tip. It's more than possible to make it work.
As for them riding mounts, maybe just make it like druids or shamans and give them their own ability to travel without a mount. Maybe give them a shapeshifting into a serpent "spell" where they slither extra fast until recast?
Either way, ethereal and Naga races would be pretty awesome. I was hoping for aarakoa and ogre from draenor or broken and reformed demon from legion but alas we only got classes and crap. We NEED a new race AND subraces for this expack.
I just can't buy into the idea of naga as a playable race ever happening. Between the armor display issues and especially the issues with making a legless model work with mounts, it just doesn't make any sense. It's just too problematic to try and code for to be worth the effort for Blizzard.
I am TOTALLY down for a tinker class, though. 1000%, we wants it, we does! The possibilities for some really cool, new specs is just too damn good. Not just a mech-based spec, which would be epic in its own right, but other gadget-based specs. If it was me, I would go with something like a mech-based melee spec (Mechnomancer), a turret-based physical ranged 'pet' spec (Engineer), a bombs & gadgets-based short range aoe/cleave and utility spec (Grenadier), and a force shield-based damage denial type healer spec (Combat Medic). In addition to sharing rifles with hunters, it would be interesting if Blizz introduced pistols as an alternative weapon for tinkers. Make them faster and dual-wieldable, but shorter ranged and less damage per hit, say. Maybe make them specific to the Grenadier and Combat Medic specs.
Sub races is an incredibly smart way of freshening up the races without a whole lot of effort. GUILD HOUSES/bases!, this might be the saving grace of any expansion that comes after legion. Guilds really need something to freshen them up. It would really have to work though, otherwise it has the potential to be a bigger fail than garrisons! And messing up a major game mechanic like that would sink the whole expansion.

Looks like someone forgot we got Naga Illidari. So it is very possible to write Naga in they just have to figure out if they are going to hide the incompatible armor or just take it out all together.
It doesn't mention the wound in Silithus though? Although perhaps that may be dealt with in this expansion, not the next.
Lore wise, the Naga are completely free willed. Most of them tend to worship Queen Azshara with a zealous loyalty though. In Legion, we do see some Naga joining the Legion independently, and Illidan seems to speak about them with some level of respect when he blames the leaders for guiding them astray. Possibly because of his own Naga allies. In cataclysm, there was an interesting moment when the Naga in Vash'jir refer to the Faceless as 'allies' and speak as if they were merely in an agreement. As strange as that is, it may mean that N'zoth does not have absolute control over the Naga either , perhaps only over Azshara. It would be entirely possible for there to be some Naga who decide to rebel against Azshara and the Old Gods, and I'd go as far as saying that if they are not used as a playable race, then at very least there will be a friendly faction of them.
Personally if Naga are a playable race for both factions they might make them be almost like Queen Azshara where she was able to shift into her elfy form. And in the water they transform into their Naga'ish selves.

Tinker would make sense. We haven't gotten a ranged class in a while and I wouldn't be suprised if Blizzard came up with something completly new like a class that can go ranged and melee whenever they feel like it. Stationary with turret would be ranged and mobile with a Wrench would be melee. That's just an idea that opens up to a lot of possibilities. Mounted fighting robots, pets, attached rockets instead of guns/bows

There are Naga that work with the Illidari. They aren't mindless so much as adhere to a strong social/command structure. I agree with you that naga won't be a player race, just not for the reason you said.
I think the sub race idea is better than a totally new race, gives new story lines, ability for different or modified racial traits and have a new / possible new home area for that sub race.
If they do add Naga in as a player race, it would probably be a sub-race of Naga that grew legs at some point. Kinda like a miniature version of the Naga Brutes on the Broken Shore.
...If that were the case, I'd probably race change to Naga. I've been wanting a decent reptilian race in WoW, since I originally came from Star Wars Galaxies as a Trandoshan and Everquest as Iskar.
When it comes to a new class, I'd MUCH prefer a Bard over the Tinker.
Blizz already said they won't make a 'beast' like race because updating tmogs etc would be too much work so I don't think naga is going to be a new race.
Azshara did have a "thing" for Sargeras. (helped him get the legion to Azeroth and things) Since it sounds like at the end of legion we will take down/seal Sargeras. I feel it is only natural that the angry naga queen will want to take a revenge hit on the Horde and Alliance
Naga were a twisted form of the elves, so the only way around this i can see is if they pull a "worgen" style shape shift on the Night elf and blood elf races that would somehow be able to shift in and out of their cursed form.

Ogres need to be playable. Blizz keeps wanting to give them to the Horde, since Lore wise there is a Ogre clan that works with the Horde. But the goblins ruined that, those sneaky pesky green cheats.

I actually bought a Blizzcon virtual ticket for the first time ever, and took some vacation time to boot so I'm all set! A new tinker class would be all I needed to hear, never mind a new expansion.
IMO Nagas are much more probable than "Tinker" class... it somehow does feel to specific to be class. And How class would spend most of their time on mount ? On vechicle ? This does not sounds mechanically well in WoW.

If they make a Mobile Warcraft RTS it would have a massive backlash by that audience.
Having heard Nobbel mention it first, and now you, I think this pants on the Naga thing might be bothering folks quite a bit. Plus, they've kind of been the bad guys since WarCraft III, and having Blizzard shoehorn them into the story as "good" now doesn't make a lot of sense.. It'd be like getting Satyrs as a playable race. Both them and the Naga were Elves at one point, but who each lost their existence through being enslaved by greater powers (the Legion, Old Gods, etc.)
It's good to know a specific role will be given to Gnomes and Goblins, as it sometimes feels like their stories kind of get lost in the the bigger picture.
I for one don't understand why Blizzard wouldn't use the Nightborne assets from the game. They have a complicated history and can be made to have common quests up to a point, followed by choosing a faction, like the Panadaren were. That and it would round up the playable Elven races in WoW, since you have Night Elves already, the Blood Elves from BC and now these guys. And they could wear fabulous pants, no doubt.
And lastly, if there's one thing you learn in Suramar, it's how much they all hate Azshara for what she did to them, so it would tie in to the story very well. If they're so bent on this Naga thing, give the Nightborne some kind of racial, like the Worgen, that allows them to turn into a Naga at will to improve swim speed, eliminate underwater breathing, gain some Attack Power, etc.), since the plan is to have this whole aquatic theme to the expansion.
As a Diablo fan, I'm bummed it looks like it'll mostly be absent unless Blizzard has a surprise for us. But I'm super excited for a WoW expansion. ESPORTS Roll Out!

The idea of naga as a playable race seems unlikely. That doesn't mean that they couldn't pull something out of their asses and make an 'amphibian' race. I would like an expansion like Danielle describes but I think the whole Void / Old God / Ethereals thing is where the focus will land. Also, think back to the detailed South Sea expansion that was 'leaked' before Legion....that didn't happen either.
Just remember, you also didn't think Doomfist would be a playable hero.
Naga are just corrupted Night Elves, there's no reason there can't be neutral factions of Naga. They'll likely never be a playable race but I can certainly see some Naga faction that'll be something we need to gain faction reputation with.
That is, they are not a hive mind tied to Azshara.
I think that "leak" is a hoax or a troll. But, an Azshara themed expansion feels extremely likely because of the in-game stuff. Also not likely to get a new class 2 expansions in a row, more likely to get a new race, but sub races would be cool as well as much more extensive character options, like a color slider for eye color, height/weight options, bust size ;) :P , etc.
So as cool as a Tinkerer sounds there's only one problem I see with this idea (Personal opinion based on what I've seen in game) . Is we are talking about taking Gnomes and Goblins which one two of the lesser played races. ( I mean look at the Pandaren it was an almost complete fail) So trying to take two more races that not a lot of people play and try to give them a whole new class I don't know how well this will work out. Granted I could see this happening cause you look at the Gnome Hunters which brought us mec pets. So the idea of a mec based class could very well happen, but I think the make it or break it deal on it is that the class would have to be a hero class. (talking 1-120ish now. Not many people want to level that) and they may want to look into the possibility of seeing if they can allow other races as a Tinkerer. Other then that I cant see any other problems with the idea, and it would also give us a possible new ranged class as well which a lot of people have wanted.
So, something interesting is that the Magni Scenario has a map. We all know its under silithus but there is something interesting with Ungoro. On that map file ungoro is flooded.
I have always wanted them to do away with the flight points and put Kirin Tor mages in their place that will port you for the same fee you used to pay the flight master. I know Blizz wants you to have to fly on FP's so they can show off their awesome world, and I get that, but the world is getting huge now. Since they put portals in for the Argus content, I'm hoping they start to incorporate more of that on Azeroth... although I'm sure the only reason they did it on Argus was so they didn't have to add all the art they would have to add for flying over everything in Argus.
It seems more likely that if a new race was on the table it would be an offshoot of the Naga race. Who knows what exactly the Naga empire consists of. They may have amphibian like elves they've enslaved that will revolt and run to the factions when the naga empire rises from the depths. Or maybe its Murlochs. Murlochs are the new playable race guys.

I definitely aggree with sub-races. I don't really like the Naga as much. I see them as just baddies all around like the Satyrs. I've also heard others mention Tinkers which would finally give Blizz a reason to put Gobs / Gnomes in a cinematic!
engineers being able to craft single and multiple person submarine mounts would be cool too. A chopper esque jet ski maybe? then they could have beach party events during the summer festival with tickets like the Darkmoon festival and they could have different swim suits and board short as costume pieces or for transmog. games like surfing and Ale pong with different mechanics for each mini game. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
But if they do add Naga next, would you roll a Nagashamen?

It seems to me that there are so many people who do not understand how pants and boots would be on Naga.. As they do not have legs and feet. Easy! We have races in the game that does not have boots shown.. So NO problem there. As for the legs. They simply cover their back, running down their spine and out to the tail with the texture of the "leg item"
I like your videos, but it seems you've a problem with the AF of your camera. Maybe your hands movement interferes with the AF sensor.
