Seemed pretty spot. I really don't want to see dungeons added after launched. The nighthold dungeons felt rewarding to get into but they didn't feel slapped on like CoEN. That narrative and the one on Argus could have made a good group scenario, though. God. I miss scenarios. I couldn't disagree more on subraces and I'm not sure if every one is looking at the same information as I am on that data mining thread. There's nothing to suggest that what was found is anything more than npc assets, and just throwing in the hopeful nightfall and high mountain tauren sounds a whole lot like the arakoa and ethereal speculation before wrath was announced. Every one was very sure then they would be added as playable based on similar evidence

Bellular brought up an interesting way of making boats work. The player will be the captain of a pirate ship, which can be used as a mode of transport between islands, naval battles and ports Vindicaar style. Since the South Seas consists of several islands, players will use the ship to get around. However, I'd imagine you can still use your mount on land. As for flying, they may add flying in a future patch, but the ship would be the only way to move between islands.
I can see something like this, with smaller subzones and an impressive skybox, but I can also see how that could totally kill flying in the expansion altogether (not really something I care about anyway). My critique on it is like...that's it, a boat? I'd want the thing to be really feature-rich if I'm going to be using it a lot. That includes some actual combat.
There's a lot Blizzard could do with this. A ship you can upgrade and customize, navigate between zones like the Vindicaar, have a crew of pirates you could send on missions, ICC- style naval battles with cannons and boarding parties, perhaps a mini- submarine for underwater quests.

No, I think adding timewalking to legacy dungeons is a reasonable enough system to keep older content alive. Adding the m+ to it adds this whole exponential content platform that IMO is a bit too much to handle considering the retuning that'd have to be done each expansion.
Expect more women in this expansion at the forefront (well already Sylvanas and almost certainly Jaina), given how there's a panel on that very subject. How about some kind of system of unlocking hair styles and other visual options through quests and achievements? I doubt they'll remove titanforging; rather they'll just reduce how far up it'll go. Another idea would be to have WQs with random modifiers or chain WQs that have random orders.
Hey Soul what do you think about making ALL the dungeons a keystone dungeon? It would be a way to tie old content that is blasted through while leveling to be revisted. a lot of the current players didnt get to play them while they were current. I think that this could be really awesome but at the same time it could get way out of hand with some places but just a thought.
+Coxki overlapping systems and by that I mean timewalking and keystones are a bit much. Mob placement will have to be totally redone too. Not hard but is it worth it?

You really think they would announce an expansion without a new race or class? They always announce one, the only time they didn't is with wod, and we all know how that expac turned out, we are definitely getting a new race or atleast subraces
Nice speculations. But I disagree with your logic on boats. I don't think boats (if implemented) would be there to replace any current traveling system in place. I do think they would be used more like the Vindicaar is in Argus. A player would use their boat to navigate around Kul Tiras. But while on your boat, Blizzard would extend the garrison/OH functionality, with things like followers/missions. Boat battle scenarios, maybe a lot more.
As far as the dragon aspects go, no, you didn't miss anything. They missed an opportunity to bring in Alexstraza for any sort of follow up to Ysera. That may see a continuation next expac, but I was disappointed that there wasn't a reference to it.
Good point. I had missions in mind more than the old school farm. That said I'm glad that resource gathering didn't quite make it into the order hall and hope that it also happens in the next expansion =D.
AP was not a good consolation prize. I am not saying I am explicitly for TF'ing but it does make getting an item pretty exciting. AP is bullshit its not exciting or fun or rewarding.
But it's not "literally nothing." There's a sweet spot that AP might not be hitting, but obtaining instant legendaries and guaranteed titanforged stuff misses the mark too.
I never said it was absolutely nothing, but it might as well be its a completely meaningless system that is 100% controlled by AK. This is no incentive to go after AP at all when you know if you wait a few weeks what took days only takes seconds. Someone in my guild got rank 75 two nights ago and that is still far from the most no life grinding out there. but what for? few more resets and Ill get 75 before antorus anyway in a few days. "grinding" AP is also very tedious, maybe if every single world quest gave AP it would feel better but all the gold / items / whatever else ones are meaningless. I would like to completely move away from AP that is tied to a global modifier that just keeps you in line and does not let you do anything besides just AFK and wait till later cause its pointless to get ahead.

If the xpac is framed around actual separate islands (south seas) just like the Argus subzones, that's an okay sell. If it's a teleport to places near already existing locations across azeroth then I'd be much less convinced.

Old style dailies and world quest are kind of defeating the whole purple. World quest replaced dailies

Mythic participation numbers are awful. its a complete failure at 20 man. Go back to the Mop 10/25 man hardest difficulty again. I hate 20 Man Mythic.
No, its not a failure, the failure is making mythic less rewarding thanks to titanforging.
