Little known fact. Singing along is not always wanted especially when you are an improv vocalist like Ms Baker. She changing timing phrasing tempo etc and the audience trying to sing studio versions which sometimes clash. It's sweet that ppl sing along but like Tevin said "Can I SING my song".....
I saw her in Vegas. There was something definitely wrong. I'm not sure if it's her hip or what it is. But she was definitely favoring one leg over the other.
I love Anita Baker but I absolutely hate when I pay to hear an artist sing a song and they have the audience sing the best parts of the song. I pay to hear the artist, not the audience.
I will say, I definitely appreciated her restarting each song, but one would think how much time it took from her singing other songs! there were so many others I hoped to hear!
