I just finished watching part 1. I will continue for sure with part 2. I wanted to thank you for your contribution. Is there part 3 or this is the last one? Thanks a lot.
Thanks for the kind words!!! Part 2 is the last one on "Getting Started with Trados", I have the overview video on Robert's channel and you can find other videos on specific topics relating to Trados (ModernMT is one of them). My bests.
Thank you for the guide. May I ask you a question? Is there a way to use Trados with a large (as in hundreds of thousands of words) Google Sheet document that is being regularly edited by multiple other people? Basically, I want to use a live online Google sheet as my source project, and have those changes I make be reflected in the online Google sheet for everyone who’s working on it. Any info on whether or not this is possible would be greatly appreciated.
Hi. This question come often for any CAT tool. The easiest way to do this (risky!!!) is to have google drive and docs app installed on your computer and syncing the folders and files involved. When you want to update a translation of said Google Sheet you must: 1_Turn off syncing 2_open the file for translation in CAT 3_Export the translated file with the same name as the source to overwrite the file 4_Turn syncing back on. If you don't do this properly, you may risk to damage the file (editing it while it's syncing for example). Always make backups in a different location of these files in case they become damaged. Hope this helps
Awesome video with great explanations! Thank you for posting this.
