I saw this movie on Cinemax back in 93 when I was ten going on eleven along with other cool adult animation movies like American pop, hey good Lookin and vampire hunter d and all became favorites of mine. I even saw it in tbs and tnt when I was twelve and thirteen and saw the 96 theatrical remastered reissue even got the cd soundtrack and vhs when it finally hit video on my 14th birthday. And then in 2001 got dvd then got blu in 2011 then replaced them with ultrahd 4k and it looks and sounds amazing on dolbyvision.

I wish they had shown the scene at the cop shop, where you have to pay to get the police to work your case. Looking back at it 40 years later and seeing how events have played out, I wonder if that is what would happened if they actually defunded the police force. Justice for those that can afford it. A bit of a lateral move really. Lawyers do there best to make it that way now. In reality real justice would be taken from maybe/slim down to none.
It already IS justice for those who can afford it. Especially if you're a defendant. Rich people pay top dollar for lawyers who can get you off. Even the cops will treat you better when they arrest you.

I've never laughed so hard in a movie. Oh, it wasn't the movie itself, but rather a group of weedheads (Gen-Xers know what I am talking about) that were at the midnight movie where this was playing, and they were a loud Beavis & Butthead combo a decade before they were a thing. I literally couldn't stop laughing for like 15 minutes, and had sore abdominal muscles because of it.
