70s through 90s were great
11th grade here, but yeah! Same!
@@StuffILearnedFromRUclips-wn1pf Me too 1984

South Park? I’m here because of this movie and the magazine. And because Sammy Hagar kicks ass!
Yes . The Magazine!! The Best !!

Thank you Sammy. Long live rock and roll
Saw Sammy with VH in 91 .95 and 04.
Who’s here cause Sammy is awesome

Same here
I have it on dvd lol
I remember this excellent
@@willardlentz3044Lucky Bastard. 🤘 👍
Nothing gets mes me more hyped than this song right here, wish my generation had at least decent music man
This is from b4 my time but there's amazing artists making music in every genre everyday u just gotta look
We do, you just gotta look. Ghost is amazing and captured this vibe
Look at it this way. You have ALL of that music now and everything since. 👍
Because it’s not real anymore
Build a base of people like you who like the music. Hopefully, someone can play and form a band, and support them. It's not THAT hard to start a rock band. it's had to be good and make a living, but rock is available to every young person out there.
A Classic with a monster soundtrack!
@rokkitman59 I own the Heavy Metal soundtrack. I really like the band Nazareth. There's a song by Nazareth on that soundtrack that I'd never heard anywhere else. It's called CRAZY. Good tune. And no I don't think anyone could cover it.
Now this is where I respect Sammy Hagar. He was so much better doing this rather than with Van Halen. I saw him solo on the standing Hampton tour which is the album that had this song. And Sammy was fantastic as a solo artist. He will forever be the Red Rocker. And that's all I got to say about that.
He was great with Montrose too
I saw Sam with VH twice; both were great shows.
@@petergustafson7446 YES!!!! And thank you for reminding everyone about where he got his start!
Sammy has been great at everything I've seen .
I like solo hagar 10x better than van hagar....
My favorite graphic novel collection of all time and space
Heavy Metal and Omni were the best mags back then imo
I still have every issue… my prized collection!!
@@davidsellers3639 Holy Shit, I totally forgot about OMNI! Good call amigo!
“I think... you're coming in a little high, man.”
“Look, man, if there's one thing I know, it's how to drive while I'm stoned.”
I remember the good old days when this was heavy metal!
Taarna, badass then and now !! Forever! Hagar rocks it man !always will
I saw the movie when it came out somewhere in 1981-1982. It was great then. I wouldn’t mind watching it again.
This was one of several Midnight Movies around Atlanta in the 80’s, Pink Floyd The Wall another. What a great time.
This and Rocky Horror for me in southern California.
I was only seven years old in 1981, and remember watching this on tv probably within a year of its release and thought it was the coolest cartoon I had ever watched 😂
I saw this in Hollywood, the first month.
"Relax!!! Its OKAY!! I got AN ANGLE!!!🤣
***STERRRRRRRRRNN!!!!!!!!***
One of the best songs to come out of the best decade...the 80s!!
One of my Top 5 Animated Movies
especially the ww2 bomber crew scene
It's an actual movie???
@@HappyCap-xm2ez Yes Heavy Metal 1981
Miss the days of getting high and going to the midnight movie and watching this classic. Great times.
this song still goes hard
Who remembers seeing the movie "Heavy Metal"brings me back to my early teens🤘😎!!
I had the comic book to the Heavy Metal movie. I bought it brand new and it was awesome. Been a fan ever since.
There was a comic book version of the movie?
I owned the LotR movie comic and the Conan movie comic and I almost forgot, Dark Crystal comic. The last one was actually pretty drawn. Lost it due to a very tragic event. I would pay a hefty sum for those books. But I cannot even find the digitized versions.
@@Nobody-df4is the movie is an adaptation of various stories from a comic magazine also named heavy metal
I remember when this came out...used to have a subscription to the magazine as well...yes I'm that old but this movie never gets old...43 years later it still Rocks 💯 🤘🤘🤘
Yup... I remember the back pages panel, "The Bus"... trippy, mind blowing stuff back in them days!
I seen this the first time at a drive in. Bulky metal speakers hanging from manually-cranked windows. My date that night is probably a grandmother somewhere.
We're old indeed.
Seeing this movie as a teenager was awesome and inspiring!! At times when life is tough I refer back to this time and make it happen!!!❤❤😊
Was 11 years old when this came out and it was the first album my Mom ever let me buy with my own money. I've been a metal fan ever since. Long live Heavy Metal!!!
🎶TAKE A RIDE,(ride, ride, ride) 🎶 🎶ON HEAVY METAL🎶
All I hear I'm my head when I see these photos
You thinking of Take a Ride by Don Felder, it was part of the WW2 Plane segment
Best movie soundtrack ever.
I was 14yrs old, sometime in the late 80s at the Lincoln Theatre in St.Catharines On. And wow this was on the big screen in cranked stereo.
I had a wicked time, great soundtrack, best cartoon boobs ever, I even thought about em later. I think I took out a recessed ceiling light cover later that night.
I watched this movie and the music was amazing!🥳🎉🎊🤘🤙👍🏿
I remember when trying to find a recording of this was hell. So happy when it got released.
I'm here to hear Sammy. Gives me a buzz just listening!
Fucking amazing job you guys!!!! Hail, Children of Heavy Metal!!!!

The soundtrack of my youth…….and I still have the movie.🫡
A midnight movie favorite !
RIP John Candy
:) Great Video, listening to Sammy and watching the clips, after all these years that song still gets my adrenaline surging.
It was a movie ahead of its time, at least here in the US. I remember going to the theater, mainly for the music. 😂
It was the weekend midnight movie at a theatre in S. California for about a month. They hired the sound company I worked for then, we brought in 8,000 watts plus. It was wild.
The animation was incredible mind blowing with awesome hard rock tracks
John Candy in this, he did a great job of making each charcter he played sound different.
I thought it was cool that the little girl's bird is the same species as Taarna which leaves the viewer wondering if she is the future Taarna, a reincarnation of her, is of the same race, or many other possibilities.
I like to think she is the future Taarna, her torture led to her becoming mute, and she will know what expect in part of her future making it easier to face.
YEAHHHHHHH!!!!! IT GOES HARD!!!!!!!
Saw this at the drive in ! Had the poster art on my wall in our fist apartment.
I remember rolling a spliff, cracking a cold beer and watching this movie many times back in the day.
Some of us still do
I love this movie and the soundtrack.. Own and have owned a few copies.
I watched the movie and all the music in the video.kicks ass❤❤❤
Time to dig out that DVD again.
One of the best animated films ever and a rockstar soundtrack too…
Love the movie! Love the video! ROCK!!!!
Saw Sammy in Toronto recently. Cool dude.
We Rocked.
1981 at it's finest!
Just watched this awesome movie a couple weeks ago. This version of Sammy’s song is better than the one on his album.
I have both on 4k still as awesome as it was in the summer of 81
AWESOME MOVIE ❤❤❤❤❤
"So what else is on your mind besides hundred-proof women, 'n' ninety-proof whiskey, 'n' fourteen-carat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph!"
Yup love this movie
Great movie!
Heavy Metal Rocks!
Amazing piece of art
5/2024: question.? Do you think Mr Hagar ever thought this song would come to this?. For me at 65 it’s like a chainsaw ( sharpened) once you’re into it……don’t stop.
The best music ever
Greatest classic cult film of the 80s
Saw it in the Theater.... Waited 9 Years to buy it on VHS.🤔🤗🤗🤗
Awesome hit of acid
You do not want to be on the receiving end of Ships like the mighty mosseriey can deliver
Best movie love it!! A classic
Cool.
Man! I was 15 when this move came out and me and a couple of friends snuck out of the house to go see it. What great memories this video brings back. The 70's and 80's were magic - those of us who grew up in those two decades were lucky.
Bad ass movie
What a great soundtrack Sammy is great
A Classic!
A masterpiece!
Best soundtrack ever.
❤Cool never seen this animation before, thanks for sharing❤
I grew up to this. It's awesome. I think you grew up in wrong generation
You have got to see the movie!
Awesome tribute to a great film
Brilliant...
CLASSIC!!!!
Good Song.
Had to be high watching this movie!😶🌫️🥺😵💫
I couldn't be I was eight
I saw this in Hollywood, the first month.
Maybe my favorite Red Rocker tune!
Great animation❤
che ricordi, Metal Hurlant, Totem, Pilot ...
I know other decades had their own things that made them special, but the 80's will always stand apart from the other decades in so many ways. At the time it was all teenage frustration and yearning for the freedoms that would come with being an adult, but luckily there were also a lot of damn good times cutting class, breaking the rules, and being stupid kids doing stupid stuff. I wish I knew then how much those years would mean to me later, but I'm grateful I've got the memories. I guess that's just the way it goes.
Feeds my soul❤
Heavy metal, and that is how the cookie crumbles ?
One weird-ass movie.... I love it!
This movie was the first bootleg movie I had seen that wasn't a Super 8mm reel to reel porn flick. Sammy rocks...
i craaaaave sooo much for a movie with Tarnaa the last Tarakian with all the story around. It would be so badass. She is such a great character.
Still have my original sound track tape. It still works after 40 years.🤔🤗🤗🤗😆
MAJOR BOOBAGE!
Was the greatest animation movie made far as Im concerned.
Brilliant.
I still have the movie
I love this movie 👏👏👍👍👍💯💯💯🥰🥰🥰.
There are 2 versions of this song. One, the original, is from Sammy's album. The version on this soundtrack is the best version.
