Normally I don't even comment under RUclips videos, but let me tell you that I felt the need for this one. It is genuinely useful and easy to understand and it also gives the technical background of where the chords come from. Thank you so much and keep doing what you're doing because it's a great job!♥️
You are one of the best guitar teachers on the web...believe me when I say it...I have watched hundreds of hours of guitar lessons and you are the best thus far...THANK YOU...You make me want to learn more!
You are the MAN!!! I’ve learned so much from you in a short amount of time. You are a natural teacher my friend. May you get all the good karma you deserve because you seem to have a great soul.
This is great to see so many new people to guitar learning like this, good job keep it up. I've been playing for 14 years now and I've been playing well with others like the Bradley Ray band thats the lead singer from the Texas Heartbreakers branched off to make his own he is the best left hand guitar player that I have ever had the privilege of playing with. for all you newcomers keep up the good work you can do it if you believe it no matter how long it takes. I started out homeless backpacking cross-country to find out where I fit in
Thank you so so so much. The way you teach is so good. You also say exactly. Where the fingers should be placed. Others only say the chord but you say exactly. How to. Place the fingers. Thank you so. Much
I came across your channel by chance and all I have to say is ,”Wow!” Definitely impressed by your lessons and to me your explanations make complete sense. Thank you for your patience and going to look in the whole Patreon thing.

Hi there, how long did it take to learn these? I'm getting a little frustrated with trying to learn my first song. Can play individual chords but they sound crap most of time as can't always get finger placement right (I keep getting told Knocking on Heavens Door is easy but I sure can't get it! Been practicing for a few weeks now but struggling to put strumming patterns & chords together or understand rythym/beat/,bars etc & put it all together - all that without singing as well is sooo hard! Wish I could find a good tutor patient enough to show me enough to get just one song out, then I be happy!
Hey thanks so much, I'm always so happy to hear from people in far away places, especially those I hope to visit soon. Thanks for the positive words, so glad you enjoyed the video and my cover. Be well. -Rob
Thanks. You're the first RUclipsr I've come across that addressed the change in strumming during Am and C. The others would demonstrate it but not break it down--my listening skills aren't good enough to learn from that!
Dude you're such a good teacher ! Even better than any of my school teachers :) I hope you read this so you keep on doing tutorials ! Greetings from Romania
I'm from venezuela, I've learnt What'd say, watching your tutorial version , according to my opinion it´s the best one i've ever seen. thanks . and keep on
Hi.. I am Robert. 70 years old from Scotland.. New to you tube and love your guitar lessons.. Would you please see if you could put on George Michael a different corner.. Please.. I would really appreciate it.. Thank you kind regards Robert
It's embarrassing to have owned guitars for decades and never progressed beyond what most people learn in a day. Obviously not much a talent for music but I try. But I still suck. Never found a good teacher until this video. Becoming a paying customer is a no brainer and I will recommend this site highly. What a find!! Nice touch with the video bombing pooch.
Hey thanks for reaching out and sharing some positive feedback. If you're serious about taking your playing to the next level, and able to put a couple hours of practice in each day, then I'm more than happy to help and answer any questions you might have. On my patreon.com/swiftlessons page, I have practice schedules, and ebooks with linked videos that will be very helpful. Keep me up to date! -Rob
Dude. Your hair! WHAT HAPPENED!? On the other note, love your tutorials. so darn solid content. Especially on the more theoretical ones like "Major & Minor scales". Always a joy to check your new videos, for your singing alone aswell.
Hello Swift, you got the best tutorials out there man, I am absolutely loving them as a beginner. Can you please do a tutorial on "Positively 4th street by Bob Dylan"? As there is practically no tutorial of it on internet and I think we will love your tutorial on it. Would be grateful for life. Thanks man.
Hey friends, you can take your playing to the next level with my specialized resources, tabs, chord sheets, and exclusive lesson at Patreon.com/Swiftlessons. Download a PDF study guide for this lesson at: www.patreon.com/posts/37088835. Enjoy your practice! -Rob
Hey, it's my pleasure! I'll have new lessons for you each week, and extra content and resources at patreon.com/swiftlessons. Thanks and enjoy your practice!
+Wayne Salter Hey thanks, glad you're digging my stuff so far. Many more lessons are on the way, both here and at patreon.com/swiftlessons. If you're in need of extra resources, it's just a buck a month for access to early releases, tabs, chord sheets, quizes, and a whatever else I can think of. Keep me posted with your progress. -Rob
This is great!'my only struggle at the moment is changing chords quick enough. I know them all but I keep missing a string as its a fairly fast transition. But I'll persist.
Yes, keep working on it. Be sure to play at a speed youre comfortable with, and gradually increase the speed. The goal is to get as many quality repetitions as possible.
Keep that rhythm hand moving all the time too. Even if you are slow at the chord change, don't stop the strum pattern as you find the chord. It is OK to strum "open strings" as you work on you chord change speed. Keep at it.
Absolutely, I'll get started on those very soon! There are some patron only versions at patreon.com/swiftlessons. It's just $1 to join and you get all the tabs and exclusive vids.
What are those things on your fingers? Are they to lessen the pain in playing? What are they called and where can I buy them? Thanks also I love your lessons, very cool. Thanks
So glad to be helpful. Thanks for the friendly message Charles. Keep working toward your goals, everything falls into place with time and practice. -Rob
In my opinion you are the best teacher on youtube. I absolutely love that you first show what you teach, that creates excitement for learning it.
Normally I don't even comment under RUclips videos, but let me tell you that I felt the need for this one.
