This game was one of those games as a child that you were just so engulfed in and transported you to another universe.

This is just great! My first big expedition as an archeologist fresh out of university to one of the most mysterious ruins in the world and it happens to storming the same day. That’s just perfect.

man this took me right back to the year 2000, me in my room at night playing sonic adventure on my dreamcast

It reminds me of when I used to leave my GameCube on at night and have this track playing so I could sleep. Amazed my GameCube still works.

This takes me back to when I was a young boy in the 2000s, playing this game on my Windows XP computer. It rains a lot in South Florida, so the ambience takes me back to an average July day.
I was like 9 years old when I played this game. I remember it moved me big time.

being in these ruins just made me wish that the game went more into knuckles backstory like these ruins were connected to so many future moments in the sonic series, adventure 2 it was in the ruins where gerald got the ideal for the biolizard and shadow, sonic battle it was here where gerald found gemerl, sonic the dark brother hood it was here that the evil invaders were pulled into the twilight realm
If this game had a weather system, the rainforest area in a thunderstorm would be amazing.

I’m an American currently in Bali and staying with my girlfriend who is a native here. There’s ancient ruins not too far from where she lives and all it makes me think of is this music.
Oh yes this is one of my favorite levels and the song it’s a shame we don’t see this in the sequels again but I always like revisiting it here in the first sonic adventure game

Green field. The day is bright despite a heavily clouded, though not overcast, sky. Large nets in the sky held between tall white towers like goals in soccer. Kites and flags dance with life. Wind from the ocean whips through the shrubbery and brings a faint salt smell. Very light rain is caught in the wind and sporadically hits your skin without leaving much moisture. Trains run by the field, you can see them flicker through the surrounding trees. The rustle along the tracks mixes into the hush of wind and flap of highstrung fabric.

Aaaahhh I remember this soo much though. Back when I was hella young like 7 years old, and it was night, and it was storming outside. I was in the Mystic Ruins exploring trying to figure out what the silver egg was for, and if anyone knows what I’m talking bout. That silver egg behind the waterfall in the Mystic Ruins by the windy mountain stage, but you have to hit a button to push the egg out. Yea that egg, I didn’t know what to do with that egg, I literally was just running around the entire mystic ruins trying to figure out what that egg was gonna trigger 😭😭 AND STILL TO THIS DAY HAVEN’T FOUND OUT lmao. Just listening to this brought back all those memories of me wasting soo much time trying to figure out what that egg was gonna do, and I thought it was gonna pop out a silver looking chao or something lmao
It does pop a silver chao you just have to take it to the chao garden and hatch it
