It adds more evaporative cooling capacity. It's kind of like how water has more thermal capacity then anti-freeze, the Methenol and water help to draw more heat out of the actual metal of the super-charger and helps it run cooler instead of going into a heat-soak situation. The methanol evaporates quickly and takes the heat stored with it. When you get a shot at the doctor and the alc. pad feels "cold" when they wipe it on you??? Same thing, evaporative cooling. Cheers mate.

If it were striped black and orange, parked somewhere - and someone told me Tony the tiger owned it, one look at the plate number and I wouldn't doubt them for a second.

Lol it's for sale again on eBay. So much for being able to sell it. And those arguments below are from 2009!

Now you should be CEO & R&D of a company that surely is bankrupt from lack of reliability in all aspects. Land Rover Must fix their drive train reliability issues, and cheaper parts for general repairs! Obviously I'm one of the many fools who owns these products and typically very disappointed!
Thanks for the showing of your awesome build! Good thing you have lots of money to support the addiction.

  • @v12stuart

Yeh but what i'm saying is that the buyer doesn't see it that way. this car is more capable than a new vogue but nevertheless the buyer still sees it as an early 90s modded rangy with no guarantee on the mechanics. even though its probably more reliable then a new vogue. i definitely think this mean machine is worth more to you as a car than cash.
anyway good luck with it man

Don't doubt its capable, but can't change the facts. It's a 22 year old range rover.
Mods mean shit all when it comes to selling it.

    LOL
    Do you know anything?
Or have you just got a fact sheet memorised....
I doubt you did anything on this yourself.
If you read his comment, you'd notice he mentioned Portals.
Portal axles, provides roughly 5 inches of lift.
Lengthened brake lines and guard cuttings are hardly worth a mention, DIY job or super cheap.
As for the engine issues, just do the 4.6 conversion that 9/10 3.9 rover V8s do.

    Wrong aspect ratio.

  • @pauljbusby
    @pauljbusby 15 лет назад

Now let me see if I have this right.
You run 550 HP on 36 " Ped's with standard CV's and standard LT230 gearing, you gota be joking right !
Now if you spent the money on Rear Wheel Steer & Maxi Drive Portals instead of the Engine & Active Suspension you would have been able to sell it 10 times over.
You really think someone is going to pay 37 Grand for a show Pony!
    Tell him his dreaming

It's a really good looking Rangie, I'd rather have a Toyota 70-series any day (I was gutted to leave my turbo'd HZJ75 behind when I moved back to the US from OZ - QLD BABY!!!) but that is a very nice truck. Sure wish I could get Simex Tires here in the States too, I miss them and they'd be AWESOME here in the Pacific NW for sure. bah SO many things we can't get in the US like Diesel trucks that aren't giant land barges etc. Man I miss Australia.

Mate i understand that you want a lot for this brilliant machine as it is quite obvious you have spent a lot of time and money on it. however what you have to realise is that even though you have re donked it and done pretty much everything there is to be done, it is an almost 20 yr old car that had done a lot of Ks no matter which way you look at it. most rangies of this era, bone stock go for about 10k. Why in the heck would you want to sell such an awesome monster? keep it or lower the price.
