I WAS EZEQUIEL!!! I had suicidal and murderous thoughts in my mind constantly, I rejected God daily and blasphemed him daily. I smoked Weed daily and popped pills and took acid. I used almost every drug as an escape. God still saved my life in a school shooting and saved me from depression, he released me and broke the chains of bondage so fast all because this girl in my class said “ you guys think God is Whoever you make him” and not even a believer it convicted me. Soon enough I would repent and become born again. I believed in the Lord YESHUA HA’MASSIACH and was saved. I wish the lord would do such a marvelous work like this for everyone. In fact he can and will if you Give it all at the feet of Jesus. PRAISE THE LORD GGTG

So happy for you. I am so filled with joy to hear your testimony brother. The Lord protected my Grandmother and Sister in a farm attach on our farm in South Africa. He has done many more miracles in my life. Praise His Holy name!

This made me pause and shed a tear. It reminded me how vitally important it is to dedicate time in prayer to intercede for those in my life who don't know and love Jesus.
Prayer is powerful, my mom died 6 times in the past 10 years and three times on the hospital bed. I prayed each time for God to grant me at least one more day with my mom. She is still with me today, in the name of Jesus.
I feel for these guys. I realized God was real after going thru my 6th brain surgery. I could have been bitter but i wanted things to get better. I said a prayer for the first time out of desperation and God answered. Since then, he has answered mumerous prayers, but my favorite was after reading psalm37 i prayed for my desire to meet my wife. The next day, a friend and I went out to talk and we both knew and were engaged that night, married 4months later back in 1995😊

I got goose bumps when the last girl said she doesn't know how to get right with the Lord. She has the actual desire to change. Amazing work praise God.

That is interesting that you didn't know. Years ago, I had an inkling that Link was just by his demeanor. I looked it up and sure enough they had had a children's ministry on RUclips at some point. They have definitely changed since then.
I was the opposite. Clinging to a life of chaos, drugs alcohol and suicide. I reached out to the friends I had at the time but when your drowning how can you cling to others drowning in their own chaos. The world had nothing I hadn't tried. My relationship with GOD is mine and no one can break what my heart has achieved. If I'm crazy I don't want to go back to this world we call sane.
Yup, same here. But once you actually encounter and know it’s real and Jesus is real it’s hard to believe you can just turn it off and not believe. I would question anyone’s falling away as not really ever knowing Christ. I know that statement is bold but I just don’t see how you can encounter him and walk away.
Yeah i came to faith the same way and when i started getting into college ministry, i was jealous of the girls who had been raised Christian and had never drifted away like i had. They didn't have all this messy terrible sin life to overcome, i thought. But at least one of those girls drifted away. I was like... How could you walk away from the God who saved me from dying, from meaninglessness, from addiction?
May God forgive me for not trying harder to turn her back. I figured if she just walked off into the darkness God would find her and bring her back like He brought me back.

I was raised christian, but it took me falling away to become a true believer. Even though I grew up in a house of faith, I had doubts. But once God took me out of my addictions, depression and anger later in life, I truly encountered him for the first time. I agree that I would rather be considered crazy or an extremist for choosing God. At the end of the day, when we all sit before the throne, I will have to answer to God, not man. I think people can be believers, but if it is possible for someone to fall away, than I am convinced they were never truly born again or had that undeniable encounter with God.

As a ex Mormon I can attest to this man. Jumping into a sea of uncertainty. Very scary and very hard experience that I don’t wish upon my worst enemy.

I was agnostic for a long time. I've recently been born again and while I still have doubts and things that I cant explain through Christ, I am choosing to believe. If I am wrong, so be it. It doesnt really matter if I turn out to be wrong, haha. But if I am right? The greatest gift and reward awaits me. Everlasting life and love.
That right there is the best reason for faith. If I’m right then great, if I’m wrong, then I’m no worse off than the next guy.

Wow how sad the Bible said at the end times many will fall away. Thank God I have a very deep love encounter with God. For me to deny God would be like denying my own existence and my soul.
Satan is a liar. He lied to Adam and Eve and he is still lying till this day. My niece became an atheist and had a painful dramatic experience that lead her back to Jesus.

@@sofisontet7542 My niece was raised in church. When she was in her early 20's she told the Lord to step aside. She got this. She started dealing drugs, carried a gun, started going to bars, became permiscuous. The things that came out of her mouth was disgusting. She would listen to Marilyn Manson music. My heart would break Seeing what she became. I would faithfully pray for her. All hell was breaking loose in her life. She had a boyfriend who took advantage of her and left her in over 20 thousand dollars in debt. She brought a house in her name for them, he ended up living with someone else in that very house. He and his other girlfriend charged things in her name. They had her credit card information. She eventually sold the house to another drug dealer to get her ex out. She met someone else who she fell madly in love with and he used to threaten her life. She couldn't get rid of him. She went home one day threw herself on her knees and cried out to God. She said she threw a white handkerchief and said she gives up she surrenders, she couldn't do it anymore. She gave her life to the Lord. She said her boyfriend stopped calling her all of the sudden. He started seeing someone else. She is now a fireball for Jesus.
"I'm gonna follow truth wherever it leads." - that's a good attitude that God will bless. I will pray for these two men.Ray points out convincingly that a watered-down message does not lead people to true repentance and salvation in Christ.
Usually when people say this, they don't really mean it.
In addition, they may have been too inoculated to the Gospel. And they don’t know the Holy Spirits’ inside presence so they will still be looking at Jesus in two dimensions. I pray, really not just an idiom, that these two fine young men will be drawn supernaturally, as we all where, to the gospel and repentance and finally salvation with the Holy Spirit sealing them in his love. Look into the eyes of your children guys, you can’t afford to be prideful.or wrong. Please. I love you.
This has kind of come to a head recently with Steven Crowder's video on Rhett and Link. I don't like saying it, but it sounds like what especially Link was talking about was "churchianity."
to be honest I totally understand that but I think it's time we stop blaming the church for not always doing what's right and start remember that the church is indeed made of imperfect people and pray for each other, I'm sick of hearing the church shouldn't do that while at the same it's the same logic behind it that made the church do and say certains things toward other christians , I instead blame this on the lack of love from both part first to say things with love and second to understand where each other is coming from even when it's hurt in resume LOVE for each other

I was once very much like Rhett for the better part of my adult life. I believed in Christ when I was younger but through my desires to live a life that contradicts that of a true christian I decided to live my life as I felt was best for me. I rationalized and thought out many of the questions people have and eventually turned my back on God. I still believed in a god and Jesus but not as a christian should. I was fine with it for many years however I would still identify myself as a christian. I knew it was hypocritical to call myself a christian when I didn't believe the Bible. Much like Rhett I finally was determined to know the truth no matter where it took me. I finally took the time to start reading the Bible for myself. I was going to either disagree completely and be an atheist or believe it. I honestly thought I would find contradictions or problems and just become an atheist with a clear conscience. Slowly but surely God opened my eyes and revealed to me his word and truth through Jesus. I pray that Rhett will accept the truth and that God will be as gracious to him as he has been with me.
We have a TRUE. LOVING GOD! JESUS IS TRULY THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE!

Man, I don’t know how Ray does it. The patience and kindness is unreal. Being a servant of God is not easy.
Yes, I would love to have his attitude. When I hear about people rejecting God, I get angry. I need to pray to be kinder. Like my husband said to me the other day, "sinners aren't bad, they're just lost". It made me realize that they are like children who haven't been told or shown the correct way.
I think he is so kind because he believes his message fully. Not one of these young men or women really want to go to Hell. Not even the ones with flippant answers. They just aren't really considering what Hell means or how much of God's mercy they walk in every day. None of us have ever encountered this life without some measure of God's grace. We can only imagine what it means to have all that sustained goodness withdrawn from us for eternity. Let your understanding of how little understanding they possess lead you in kindness and love. Sky Tan You don't construct houses on sand. Sand can't be compacted and, as such, will never be a solid piece of earth to place a foundation on top of. Houses that are built on beaches are typically built upon concrete piers which go down to solid earth under the sand. Ideally bedrock.

I'm going to take a contrary point of view to yours. That means all of you and it is food for thought.
I had a "God" that was one I created and I ran from the actual God the Father, because of that so called "God" The gospel was the same but it was my perception of it that was wrong. I didn't change the gospel or God, but I did misunderstand and not know who He was and what His design for mankind was, until He shattered that box. And by "box" I mean the limited way I saw Him. The Pharisees had that same problem, but instead of adapting their thinking to Jesus they tried to get Jesus to adapt to their thinking. And that is one way to handle it. The better way is to let Jesus show Himself to you and press in closer, until it matters more than anything else, that was the route that I took.

It’s the epitome of truth. I have experienced the presence of God and you would have better luck convincing me that you don’t exist before convincing me that God doesn’t. We don’t need experiences though because the knowledge of God is within us. Our conscience itself bears witness. Light has come into the world but men love darkness because their deeds are evil. Men tell themselves that God doesn’t exist because they want to sin and not feel guilty.
God is not willing that any should perish. Seek and you WILL find. God loves you and sent his Son Jesus to die for your sins so you don’t have to. There is coming a day in which he will judge the world and he declares that “ he will not let the guilty go unpunished”. Admit your guilt, repent, and believe in Jesus. You haven’t known happiness until you have experienced the love of God. The Bible says about God “ In your presence is the fullness of joy, at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” I can testify that you can feel the presence of God and once you do you will never be the same. You may have fun for awhile, drinking, fornicating, or fulfilling other carnal desires, but the hangover always comes and it never fulfills. Jesus said “ if any man drinks of the water that I give him he shall never thirst again”

Rhett and Link, I pray you read these.you are snared by your own intelligence. Jesus, the Suffering God, NOT the Harsh God. But if you think you can judge Him realise you cannot be outside of time and space to even view Him. The evidence is from all those who knew Jesus on earth that He called Himself the "I AM". If you truly search for Him look at Bible history in the Old Testament, particularly reading every prophecy about Jesus that came true exactly. Then do what He said to do.

@@janelleroland9678 He should find other arguments because those that he uses make no sene. irreduceble complexity is flawd because it doesnt makes sense with reality.. this is such an easy think to show or demonstrate in evolution. example: the evolution of the eye in aquatic Mollusca. When you study those animals, you can observe that their eyes evolved through time, you can look at clams, Nautilus and octupus... clams are mch simpler and they barely can see anything, nautilu in the other hand can see plenty more, and the octupus has a great eye, with very good vision.. those animals increase not only in vision but also in the complexity of their organisms and nervous system. One adept of the "irreducible complexity" argument may say: "what use would an animal have for half an eye" and i can respond: well, look at the Nautilus, in comparison to squids and octupusses they have hald eyes, their eye i in the middle between clams and octupus, and they are very useful, they are not good at seeing colors or distingishing forms, but they are very useful for it to know where it is gooing, and if theres light in its enyroment, and if a great predator is comming so it can hide in its shell... the defendrors of this argument simply dont understand evolution well enough

Well didn’t Jesus say He’s the truth the way and the light. The only way to the father is through Me?? Pretty sure that implies that Jesus is literally the only way? So everything else they tried to spice up and throw in there doesn’t mean anything if they reject that. No need for long rants. I’m just stating facts, if you reject Jesus then you go to hell. Not my words, God.
What their pointing out is they had the external relationship with Christ, but they didn’t really have it in them. It happens all the time, people think that when they DO things that their saved when only the grace of God can save you when you give your heart to him. Don’t forget that their in a position of influence so their words have so much more weight.
“I pulled my wife and my children with me” that is absolutely heartbreaking to hear... and scary.

As someone who has watched Rhett & Link for over 8 years and has always adored the two of them - this truly was the most heartbreaking and scary thing to hear Rhett say. Brought me to tears immediately. May we pray for them both to encounter Jesus before it’s too late.

We adults need to be honest in front of & to our children about our need to be redeemed & forgiven by Christ.

Mother Goose - I highly recommend you watch Rhett’s original video, because it clarifies that is what he was doing, and why wasn’t able to get to that point anymore. If you don’t believe, you don’t believe. You can’t all of a sudden believe again. It doesn’t work that way, and that is very clear from the original video.

Yes, AMEN!! My daughter was a faith filled believer and turned away because of Rhett and Link. She always watched their broadcast and never told me ! NOW I know WHY.....
She is struggling more now than she ever has in her whole life! Thanks to the foothold the enemy had when they did that. They will be held accountable!

I'm 48 years old, and I grew up in the church, but no one ever explained salvation to me in the simple terms that Ray does in each video. If you asked me at any point in my life I would have told you I am a Christian, but I was full of doubts, because the world is full of concocted fictions to make us question the Bible, and so very few people exist that can explain it to us as well as Ray does. I've watched dozens of these interviews now, and though they are all very similar, I learn something new every time.
There are so many people out there that need it explained to them so it will make sense, and we are responsible for getting them that explanation. Just sharing these videos is better than doing nothing.

God just let's good and bad collide on this earth to mold us and see who has actually put there trust in Him.
For your actions and words show what you trust.
If we let Him mold us, by flipping the troubling situations in our life upside down, then everything will turn out very good.
But if we are in a constant state of rebellion, it will turn out we are the trouble that would turn any place into hell because of our lack of trust in God...
What i would say is this:
This has been a problem in the church for a long while.
We can't continue telling our children this or that is true.
This diminishes there God given autonomy...
For if God is sovereign (self-governing, without someone else controlling Him) then so are those made in His image.
We can only speak with our children or the children of others about the hope that is within us.
This could mean that some of us has discovered reasonable reasons to trust God, that He has made the world and wants a love relationship with us.
So they could share this with the children!!!
Just never let fear rule you. Do not let your fear, turn you into the dictator of your childrens faith!!!
I understand the fear that the children would turn out to be lost.
Yet, is see generations that has actually experienced leaving there parents faith as if they had left pharaoh (a dictator)....

When one looks at the believers in China and Nigeria how they can worship the Lord and stand firm through all the hardships and persecution. They do not worry about phony. Maybe excess does not do us favors.
It's actually harder to maintain faith in times of excess than in times of agony. In times of pain you have no choice but to have faith, but those who are living in abundance, the temptation of a self serving life style is heavily impressed on individuals. Only the strongest deny the temptations....

My younger brother spent half of his adult life in prison, accepting the Lord is the only thing that truly changed his life. Not therapy, evolution, prison, or anything else!

I was falsely convicted of threatening my aunt & locked in a psychiatric ward.
I know people who spent years in prison & yet they describe what prison was like, & it wasn't as dangerous or as abusive as where I was.
I got out eventually & prayed for forgiveness, to be filled with it so I could forgive my aunt for having me locked up & abusing my dad as he was dying.
Now I forgive all people whereas before I found it hard to.

I watched some episodes of GMM recently after completely forgetting about them for the last 4 or 5 years... It felt like something was missing, wrong somehow with them. Then I did some reading and found that they had fallen away and it all made sense. It's sad.

I left the church 14 years ago. I didn’t leave from disbelief. I left because when I had a faith crisis, which I didn’t want, I was told by my pastor to fake it till I make it. I didn’t want to fake it. And then I began to wonder if everyone is faking it.

To be fair, Church culture does breed conformity sometimes rather than truthfulness and honesty. It's like, the moment you ask honest questions about your faith, an awkward phase comes. The analogy that I have always liked is that you may not remember what you ate for dinner 137 days ago, but you know it fed you and kept you going. They may have brushed off what he said, but it was good for them to hear it. We all need to spread God's word so more people hear it.
It was years after becoming a Christian that I experienced what reality with the Lord is. You want Him at all times, He is priority, you praise and pray constantly be it voicing it out in your mind and fight the battle with spiritual weapons. Before that I thought Christianity was the best way for me but no desire for more of Him. It was lukewarmness and if he hadn't got a hold of me I would be lost. We all may have doubts and questions being a Christian but not being a follower of Jesus is just waste of time that , hopefully, we'll understand if He allows us not to die without desiring more of Him and serving Him more.

Ray Comfort lovingly shows everyone in this video not his own thoughts or theories, but the pure Word of God, without which no one can be saved. But he lovingly, tenderly, shows them the truth: God's Word, not his word.

I am a content, peace-filled Christian with no fear for the future because I put my eternal soul in God's hands. He's definitely heard Rhett's prayers, what Rhett has to do is trust that God's will always works out for good, since God is good, even if it doesn't seem like it to us in the moment. I firmly believe that if Rhett and Link takes the time to seek truth and watch Living Waters's videos that they will find answers to many of their questions and maybe even be transformed by the true Gospel, like so many people have - including myself.

My insight: you need to read the Bible every day and contemplate what that 2-edged sword is telling you. As several other commentators here have said, if you are truly born again, you would never spurn the priceless gift of life Jesus by His obedience has provided for us. I was a Christian for decades before following a discipleship teaching that urged this. I wonder if those chaps who confessed to falling away were making a daily study of the living word. Gospel of John is a good place to start.
Surly a god would let people know if they locked in or not properly, and why would it be so difficult to know? why is it so hard and so unsure and so uncertain and difficult? we have a book the Bible to help this process yet even the believers have different beliefs and denominations and views and argue with each other on their own faith and interpretations. Why? Because of the difficult way it’s been written with so maybe contradicting passages and events which claim to be true yet have no evidence we can see in history like evidence of a global flood or evidence millions of Jews in Egypt as slaves were never found of mentioned in any historical books or evidence . Why would a god that loves and wants to saves us all create a book which is so confusing people could get lose and have different denominations within the own faith due to different interpretations and confusing nature of it if he really wants to save us? A book so complicated it’s a mix of many books translated and bit added and left out and good and bad morals acts by god himself? If god is all knowing why knowingly create a world where people can lose faith or where evil exists? And don’t argue because of free will cause the Bible don’t mention free will just decision making. Animals run or hide from predators, these “lower forms of life compared to humans in a biblical view” make decisions everyday regardless of conscious or higher power. God is all knowing so he knew his book would confuse many and still decided to make it this way. Knew when making the world it would result in sin but still decided to make it this way. Decided to make a world where 1000s of other religions can exist, we can choose to be born yet if we choose or get lost to another or lost out of our own very confusing religion or denomination or interpretation of our own religion we burn forever as a punishment for this mistake . He made an imperfect process which could have been done in a much better way. God could visit the whole would right now in person and walk among us and prove to us, end all war and disagreements and suffering and be the undeniable truth… but no we just have a confusing book written a long time ago by many many people which causes it’s own believers to get confused and walk away somtimes. And burning forever if we get this wrong is not a loving or just punishment in anyway if god is all knowing. If he knows all he knows our journey and if we are to get lost yet let’s it happen and burns up forever without saving us if we get lost or get it wrong. He’s all knowing remember . So could have made this better for everyone if he was real
1 John ..written as he says, so you will know you've been born again. Some of the evidences..desire for the word of God, daily repentance of sin, desire for fellowship with other believers.. these may not be perfect, though are definitely present. I was subject to an easy believism gospel as a child..obviously never born again because years of rebellion and no desire for God and obedience.
God saved me in the quiet of my home, reading His word..my life changed drastically..you will know.

Falling away was prophecied both by Jesus when He said the love of many will grow cold in the end times and the apostle Paul also mentioned it in 2Thess.2 when he said a great falling away will happen just before the anti christ is revealed.
Wouldn't people fall away from Christianity in both the case that Christianity is true (because it is prophesied), and the case that Christianity is not true (because people will eventually understand it is an unlikely hypothesis)?
@@questionasker8791 normally when people accept Christ it is bcoz of inner conviction that tells them it is true. A spiritual connection forms between them and God. But bcoz we live in this physical body and this material world, danger and temptation is always present. There are different reasons why a believer may fall from his/her faith they once held dear. Temptations of this life, pressure and trials of life, fear of persecution and suffering. Jesus said the path that leads to life is narrow and difficult to walk but the one that leads to destruction is wide and easy!

It's not the prophecy that makes people fall away, it's their own free will bcoz of the reasons i mentioned earlier. For the 2nd part of your question, if it wasn't true to that person, why would they have chosen it in the first place? Of course, in such situation, sooner or later that person will give up.

These students you interviewed were great! Patient and all had strong beliefs but allowed you to speak with them. I hope they do think about who Jesus is and what he sacrificed for them.
An encounter with God wouldn’t send him “all the way back” because he has never been. He was never a Christian (indwelt by Spirit). I’m an ex-atheist who did have an encounter with God. There’s no going back. It changes you radically, every aspect of you to the core, and it’s forever.

I like a do da chacha 702 I was an atheist. I found God and Jesus through science. But science led me to believe only with my head, not with my heart. The bible says that we should “believe in our hearts” for a reason. It was later on that I started meditating on the cross and its true meaning (I knew I was not fully grasping it) when God opened my spiritual eyes and it hit me. It broke me completely (Zechariah 12:10; Matthew 21:44). That day I received the Holy Spirit when I didnt even know what it was. It changed me to the point that not even my own mother recognizes me anymore (Ezekiel 36:26-27 is not poetry, but a reality). Encounter the Living God is something supernatural and you can’t explain it through science. But you will see the results of it, and they are radical.

I think a lot of Christian parents don’t talk to their kids about Christ. I also don’t think a lot of Christians act like Christians once they’re in their home so the children just see hypocrisy.
Bors de Ganys I’m sure that’s the case in many instances or they see others in the Church who are hypocrites. It plays a part without question. The Church can be a horrible standard bearer and that’s sad. I can attest by my wife’s own experiences.
But my comment is based solely on practical application in regard to young children coming to the faith. Unless one is willing to grant that if that same 6yr old child didn’t make their profession at that moment and then died later that evening that that child would be condemned. In other words if they are old enough to be saved then conversely they are also old enough to be lost. Everyone is quick to claim the upside without pondering the down. If a truth claim is true then the converse of that claim is then also true...the grass is green...conversely the grass is not pink. Scripture works the same. Sorry for the rabbit trail there. I believe there is an age of accountability and it makes sense that it would vary person to person. For example, I have a hard time believing a child with severe Down syndrome who is unable to grasp more than very simple thoughts won’t be in heaven.
I agree with you because my daughter got “saved” at 6 years old and I’m not entirely comfortable with it. Because even at 9 she seems to not really understand her sins. So we have almost daily discussions on the gospel and salvation. I also present her with objections to Christianity and guide her in refuting the claims.
Bors de Ganys mine is 11yrs old and she still doesn’t grasp it fully either. I believe the key to understanding is based on that very words “understands it” which is only found in 1 of the 3 parallel passages of Jesus’ explanation of the parable of the sower.

Sadly my wife of 29 years stopped going to church about 7 years ago. She claims that she truly was a Christian and says she feels insulted if anyone suggests otherwise. I confess that my behavior as a confessing Christian left a terrible example (struggling with porn) and even though I am better now I believe this had a factor. I still pray that God would make Himself real to her. Also, she has been blind since birth and this may have had something to do with her disbelief.

Why do people make Christianity so difficult? I was raised non Christian and became Christian in college radicalized by myself Jesus met me. I have grown cold but never left Him. I have grown to understand what a relationship with God is like how people of the faith walked with God. For whom is forgiven much loves much. It is good to remind yourself that everyone is really searching for the truth. Some people may claim to “ not be religious” but they still think about it all the time. It is fascinating to me because it shows how much we are in need of Jesus.

I won’t give up on these two. If they ever believed in Jesus then they are my brothers in Christ. When I used to watch them, I actually felt lead to pray for Link against depression and suicide before. They are under extreme deception. They let their relationship with God take a back seat.

It breaks my heart. I have a friend who has fallen away. He's convinced, so deluded he thinks only atheists are unbiased. His unbelief burns in my heart every day all day. Yes, too many just like this. One must understand sin before they can repent of it. Children may not understand sin. Children should be taught, loved, encouraged, and guided carefully. Adults may not understand sin either until they are taught about the law and see the application to their life. Many evangelistic Christians are more concerned about getting someone to pray a prayer than helping someone understand their sin. It takes a lot of patience to lead someone to Christ. I got saved when I was young...I went countless times during alter call to be saved until the day I went with understanding. I was still young in children’s church. I’ve never stopped believing but I did go through a time after high school for a few years where I wasn’t on fire...I was lukewarm. I praise Jesus that he came and got my attention and brought me back to him!! Everything I grew up learning came back to me so incredibly clear. God is so very good. It is true that when a child is brought up in Jesus when they grow old they will not depart from him!! Praise Jesus!

What does anything in this video have to do with Rhett and Link? They collectively talk for 3+ hours about how they were essentially just like the creator of this video (strong believers who dedicated their lives to helping others find Jesus), but through circumstances in their lives, and great internal struggle, they have come to believe truth does not support their past beliefs.

Calvinists believe that every human deserves to go to Hell, but because of the extreme goodness of God, he chooses some to save even though he doesn't have to. Arminians typically believe that all humans are deserving of Hell, but that they have the choice to accept God (Romans 10:9-10 ESV), and some just simply choose not to accept God on their own. It gets a bit more complicated than that, but that is the simplified version of it.
@Lady of the Lord I mean - if it is as he said, that the people that are destined to destruction have been appointed to desctruction since the beginning of time and salvation unto them is impossible. And those that are saved, have been destined to be saved from the beginning of time will be saved and unto them destruction is an impossibility. Doesn't this make preaching the word of God meaningless?

Either that or they're probably leaving a false idea of God, hitting refresh and coming back to him for real. Something like that happened to me, I fell into a very dark place despite being a Christian for years before that. I did know God but I had wrong ideas about some things and they finally crashed and burns before resurrecting into a more authentic walk with christ. I pray that is the case with many other people.

But the God of the Bible is also the most merciful. In all other religions you have to do works to please that god. The God of the Bible is the only one who has done EVERYTHING already for you and only requires you to trust in Jesus and turn from sin. When the Holy Spirit comes to live inside you, He changes your heart, sin actually start disgusting you, and you then you do good because you WANT to and not because you think you're going to get something in return.
