Because of the trade organisation I work under I have to have an annual van inspection (11 months of the year it looks like yours) Last year I was pulled up for not having a hi vis, this year there will be a struggler one hanging in the van. Chris

eyup bud trick for holding a bolt in a socket so you get the right angle of the dangle is to rip a bit of plastic bag and wrap round the head of the bolt then put it in the socket works a treat great video had me pissing myself

I've been struggling all week. Fell off me bike and scuffed myself all up. Struggling to hang doors at work. Last one went in a treat though, and it's Friday! Yeah it is!! Poor le'er dag.

Easy way to hold bolt in socket. Get a bit of paper hold it over socket and push bolt in. If it is still loose double the paper. Jimmy.

That third starter bolt would be going into the round filing cabinet & the next lad to change that starter again would thank the Lord for it. :-)

That is a easy one to get off i've one where the motor is bigger than bolt so you can't get a straight run at it between the engine an the starting motor only an extension fits then you get a socket cut down till the depth of the bolt head and get it over the motor and lined up with the extension again. Then back all three bolts out together to get the back bolt removed with the motor can be a 2 hour job or 8 hours just fighting to get the back bolt off.
Chris, tell that mate of yours who is looking for a job to give his details into euro car parts. . They are always looking for driver's 😊
Another way to hold a bolt in a socket is to use a bit of insulation tape across the end of the socket and then push a bolt into it to grip it tight Done that many times to get in tight spaces

in 40+ years of doing mechanics i can say this without a doubt.. the ONLY thing worse than having cold hands is having cold hands then smashing you knuckles when i spanner slips and you punch an engine block.. then they REALLY Hurts lol.. but yeah it is shit to work outside when its cold...

is the speedo electronic or solid core from a drive wheel , may need to get speed checked if gears are different ratio , speedo says 60 but you're doing 68 !
