Its a cool idea for content creators but i cant really see a good use case for charging money for a private codebase or a time I’d need to share code privately on mass…
Outside of the big players like game engines that allow people to access the engine source with enterprise licensing, most people won’t really require multiple user access
What if you needed to share a private repository by link with recruiters? How do you know which people to add to the repo
@@JacobSucksAtCode sure, if you want to share the commit history thats a good use case.
As a game dev i've only ever been asked to share the project files or specific code example files, it gets murky if you're uploading code test projects to github etc when some of those bigger game dev studios are really protective of their IP like this
@@rtk-yt for sure. So the point is that code doesn’t get duplicated and taken off GitHub. Instead, it’s taken directly from GitHub and delivered to the client
