The term riding shotgun comes from the days of the old west when stagecoach drivers would have another person on the seat with them carrying a shotgun for security against bandits etc... When camping as a kid we made banana boats, they're better than s'mores in my opinion. You take a firm ripe banana slice it lengthwise down the middle with the peel on, stuff it with pieces of chocolate and mini marshmallows, wrap it in foil and put it next to the fire, turning at several times until it's cooked and all the marshmallows and chocolate have melted. They're delicious!
Actors Ice Cube and Mike Epps had a movie called "All about the Benjamins"; meaning all about the money. Was an action comedy, the plot revolved about a diamond heist.
Take out to the ball game isn't at the beginning of the game. That's the national anthem. Take me out to the ball game is more or less at the 7th inning.
Calling shotgun for the front passenger seat comes from the stage coach in the wild west would have a person holding a shotgun to defend from robbers. It stuck for the passenger seat.
We have a term called “drinking the koolaid” which is a reference to the charismatic cult leader Jim Jones who forced his followers to drink poison In their compound in Guyana as a revolutionary act of protest, when the US government sent congressional representatives to Guyana to investigate Jones and his cult. If someone has fallen for somebody else’s line of propaganda we might say “I think you’ve been drinking the koolaid”.
Baseball games. Take me out... is NOT sung before games, it is sung at the 7th inning break or 'stretch' as it's called. Before every game is the National Anthem. 🤦🏻♂️
This lady Does Not know background regarding these so DON'T watch her videos. She doesn't have accurate information. An Example; the song Take Me Out to the Ball Game is NOT sung at the beginning of the baseball game. It is sung at the 7th inning. (there are 9 innings in baseball) She also doesn't know the actual background regarding the term shotgun. Plea the 5th DOES NOT mean you're guilty. It only means you have the right to stay silent.

Americans use a lot of slang like this because it conveys a sense of humor as they are a relaxed crowd of ppl naturally.

She is surprisingly accurate
Except for the song. It's played at the 7th inning stretch.
No, she's not and I've told her 5 points of the this video she got wrong and/or does NOT know back ground.
My my! My recent car accident is going to cost me a ton of Gandhi’s to fix. 😂

I usually don't like these type, because they don't explain it very well. Her video was good and she gave great explanations.
