- Penile Doppler study is a very useful study to understand the cause of erectile dysfunction however due to the various reasons it is not to be followed blindly but only considered a tool to help the clinician make a treatment plan for the patient. Due to various reasons like improper conditions of doing the test, inadequate time being given to the patient, and the dynamic nature of this test this test may many times give a report which may not truly represent the condition of the patient. Here are a few things that you must ensure before you follow this test and its results blindly to make a treatment plan.
Penile Doppler test can only be interpreted correctly when you get the best possible direction.
Penile Doppler test needs lot of time to perform and it has to be done in an environment where the patient is comfortable and able to properly create a fantasy along the help of injections or medicines.
Even in patients where are the final of the test shows problems such as arterial insufficiency or Venus leakage, depending on the results of ICI VAD and the clinical situation, medicines can provide a good solution.
It is not necessary that bad results on Penile Doppler study would necessarily mean an implant surgery.

doctor, i did doppler test where no injection was given. only blood flow was checked during flaccid stage. then doctor said artery is narrow and tappering. and suggested me supplements like L arginine. what does it mean? will this be cured by only supplements or it is life long?

Hi Sir, I had my doppler ultrasound done & was injected with caverject 10mcg. I initially had an erection which wasn't quite strong but I lost it after 1 minute. My PSV is 42.9 & 17.9. EDV is 4.75 & 3.3 - my question is do I have venous leakage?
You have na venous leak bro but your 17.9 psv show some mild insufficiency in your carnoversal arteries

Sir mere tests ke results after 20 minutes the PSV is 25 cm/sec aur after 25 minutes the PSV is 22.5 cm/sec....is there any problem sir ? initially after 5 mins it was 31.3cm/sec then after 10 mins it was 52.4 cm/sec and then after 15 mins it was 41.7 cm/sec but after 20 minutes it was 25 cm/sec and after 25 minutes it was 22.5 cm/sec....please tell me about my problem i have no proper erections

Hello sir. You are one of the best sir.My penile doppler test was done using only 0.5 mg papaverine. Highest psv on left side was 39.5 and right side was 27.8. Although the difference between two sides were 11.7 which was greater than 10, urologist told me all is ok. Now I have changed my life style And getting good erection in morning.
