Thank you! My subscribers have tripled since January and one of my videos is almost at 4K views, so it seems word is getting out! Thanks for being a part of that!
idk dawg, its moderately funny at times but it really doesnt tell much about the modules. Contrary to what the videos say - most of the jokes are completely lost on people who dont actually know the modules already severly limiting the target audience and remembering the strahd video.. even having knowledge of the module doesnt make some parts funny.
@@WhirlwindHeatAndFlash Its true this video requires adventure context for some of the jokes. I've definitely looked into making adventure context jokes more easter egg than main joke. I think icewind dale and icespire keep tend towards less adventure knowledge needed to get the jokes. On the other hand I did like a bunch of adventure reference comedy for curse of Strahd since it has such a dedicated fan base.
As famous it is, Tomb of Horrors really feels like a dungeon only made to either troll your players or kill those characters they have been creating for 1 or 2 years. Still fun IF you get your players in the right mindset and temper expectations.
Apparently it was originally a convention dungeon that was run to see who could get farthest without dying. Definitely feels like a lot of the "kill a bunch of people arbitrarily" is still there.
Yeah, Tomb of horrors sucks. One read through is all you need to know that it would be just as fun to run as it is to play, which is to say not fun at all.
It was. It was a tournament module designed to screw with players. Anyone who's defeated it did so with knowledge of the module or a DM that was being nice.
@@connorjohnson8590It's fun if you played it the way they did back then. I think it was Rob Kuntz character Robilar that was the 1st to defeat it without dying. From what I understand he used a bunch of Orc follower fodder. Characters back then at high levels got followers and characters would also have henchmen and hirelings. Party size and composition was a lot different when this module was written.
i came here because i just need to find a premade dungeon (every dm needs a break from homebrew) this was REALLY helpful and entertaining definitely subscribing :D
thank you for this video, just finishing a converted Cult against the reptile god and was looking for new adventures for my party, will acquire this and read through it more :)
@@GreenDM it is! however party I'm playing with are new and I'm new dm, so it's been a little bit of a challenge since they are not used to asking NPCs question xP Yes and no, did find it as a good beginning adventure and then i watched his videos :)
I definitely understand your DM's perspective since the book adventures can feel restrictive, but at the very I hope he uses some of the cool locations and NPC's these have!
Finally. Someone who has actually played the modules before reviewing them!
How does this guy not have millions of subs? I agree, criminally underrated.

This channel and content is criminally underrated. Remember us when you’re famous
Thank you! Hope it can grow! At least to 1000 subs so I can use the community tab.

I have limites D and D knowledge. Just some 2nd person friends and family and I still get the jokes... Mostly.
I think the out of context jokes are funny and honestly sold me on getting this as my first module

that's the reason it's so famous. It's garbage. A giant mountain of garbage. That's what it's famous for.

I don’t think I had ever seen a video from this channel before, but boy am I glad for this gem being in my recommendations
Glad you liked the video! If you are interested in Curse of Strahd or Lost Mine of Phandelver, I have a terrible explanation video for them too!
Subscribed when you’ve only got 8k subs. This is my favorite channel
About to dm this one first time DM. More then ready for the scaling figured out cause I am adding to the story.

Yeah! I definitely feel the homebrew break. It can be so much work! Thanks for subscribing!!
Great video! Lunch break hero sent me!
That's awesome! I know lunch break does a lot of Curse of Strahd videos, so you might like the Curse of Strahd quickly explained too!

Cult against the reptile god is so good! You get the idea from Matt Colville?

Amazing work! This surprisingly provided me with the exact information I didn't know I needed.
Glad it helped!
Feed the algorithm! Great channel
Thank you! Now I just got to release more videos to feed the algorithm on my end!
These are great. Do you think you're planning on doing one for most of the major modules?
I think so! Currently have one in the works for the Icewind Dale module! They take a long time to make, so might have a short video or two in between.
Great!
Nice vid, well done!
Thank you!
Your Channel is amazing. You'll be big in the dnd community 👏🏼
Thank you! That's really encouraging! Hoping to make as much quality content as I can.
Also where did you get that RUclips profile picture? It's pretty sick!

@@dario9507 nice! These are cool!
The costume is really the best part.
Cape really made the outfit
This is the closest I will get to ever playing these since my dm doesn't want to do anything but his homebrew.

Good stuff, keep it up.
Thank you! Hope to make the next one in less than 2 months.
amazing videos my master friend, suscribred
For the algorithm! Keep it up!
This is a good sacrifice! The algorithm will be pleased!
Great holy grail reference
Good staff 👍
Thank you!
Hahahah love it!
Thank you!
Have you played any of the dungeons in Yawning Portal? How did it go?
So basically that Stone Dragon, Statue, Trap moment is George Hancock XD
Very based.
You have a very based take on this. I agree with you.
Dungeons and Dragons
True. it got both.
That werewolf thiccest of werewolves I've ever seen
They got that curse of LyTHICCropy.
I don't think that's actual pork.. (humans taste porky)
Put it at 1.25 speed.
Fixes the pacing issue lol
They want the SPEED
