Just use both hands finger tips and squeeze the mangosteen to get it opened. And don’t get the stains from mangosteen and dragonfruit on your garments, it stays and you will have a hard time to get them cleaned.

Mangosteen is my favourite fruit (I am from Canada). It is often paired with durian. Durian is the king of fruits, and mangosteen is the queen of fruits.

I don't think dragon fruit is originally Indonesia, but salak / snake skin fruit, jackfruit, mangosteen, sawo , durian you may find in any places in Indonesia.

Snake fruit, or salak, and yes, it's edible. It's sweet and crunchy. A must try fruit, but make sure to choose the ripe one.

You don't peel a dragon fruit. You cut a dragon fruit, and scoop the inside with a spoon, and straight into your mouth.

Wrong messy way to open the mangosteen 🤣
To open it, hold it in your right palm , cup it and use your left hand to help squeeze the mangosteen until it cracks open in the middle. There you go, you cut it in half.
Some bad mangosteen will not crack this way because it is hard like stone (instead of soft fleshy skin), but that means it goes bad.
