The girl who was killed in the beginning was one of the hikers they talked about in the beginning. They only say it once and was easy to miss
The ideal herb mix is green, red and yellow. That will fully heal you and increase your max health. You can safely combine green and red right away. Before using a green+red mix, hold out for a yellow one as long as you can, however, yellow herbs are pretty rare.
Watching you crush on Leon is bringing me immense joy.
As a Game Designer myself, it's interesting to watch how different people react to different circumstances. RE4:R has a lot of things you can interact with (like ladders you can knock down or climb up, things you can vault over, explosive lamps, etc.), but it doesn't really spell any of that out for you, you just have to sort of discover it on your own. Like most people, you catch on to some of these things very quickly, but miss others, and that doesn't make you a bad gamer at all (again: we all do this), it just makes your experience unique. It's part of why RE4R is so good and, frankly, even better than the original.
When replaying it you especially catch on to a lot of these things, like shooting the bell or blowing up the turrets on the island. Hell you can outright skip multiple sections with heavy grenades or attack enemies during cutscenes (original had that too though).
Oh this is going to be a good series! Good to have you back and posting Ele!

Ele's playthrough of this game is one of the few I was really looking forward to, especially after having seen her other Resident Evil playthroughs, and specially after seeing that this remake was very, very well done, it did the original justice. Did not think it was possible, knowing how perfect and iconic the original became, may a new generation of players finally play this game.

But that's not all. I have watched some YT and even Twitch with similar content and as a someone that is interested in good sound quality I have to say the balance and level between your voice and the game-sound is outstanding! 😍 The sound has good dynamics and are not to compressed either! LOVE IT!
You also nailed it when it comes to the brightness level. This is a "spooky" game and should be dark and gloomy but not to dark for the visuals effects to be seen. You are truly a professional streamer!

I've never played a Resident Evil game, so happy to watch you play this, Ele! 🙂 I love how you are so thorough & try to figure things out, taking your time instead of rushing through like so many seem to do.
And I completely agree with you about the Blue Medallions side quest - waaaay too hand-holdy, especially for a miscellaneous quest.

"I was doing so good" I'm not sure how you could say that with a straight face
One thing I've noticed is that the items in the crates change depending when you broke them, if you get them before or after the fight there's a bigger change you get coins than ammo, and if you wait till you get the shotgun while still during the fight some will drop shotgun ammo
So funny 😂 I tuned in for a horror game and turned out to be Ele running a marathon through all the villages and becoming an egg farmer 😂 and won't talk about getting killed 4. 5. Or was it 6 times 😂.one death for each egg😂❤

One thing that the game doesn't make you aware of is the Hair Strands feature. This allows for more realistic hair, it can be turned on in the options. It allows the hair to act and move on movement. Might want to try it out.

U walking upstairs like u had all the time in the world for that chainsaw guy to come in started giving me anxiety like RUN GIRL
That opening fight after the pig roast, where you have to survive; avoiding the enemy is not the best for a few reasons, mainly because you'll miss out on them dropping precious resources & MONEY which could be used for health, ammo, upgrades, all that. I believe you even get something extra for killing chainsaw guy too.
Just saying, going forward, avoiding conflict is a losing strat in the long term, IMHO. Play it how you want tho, I just hope you have fun & enjoy the game.

15:40 That opening cutscene wasn't Ash, it was one of the 2 hitchhikers that Mario mentioned looking for in the squad car. You find the remains of the beheaded lady & the body of the other hitchhiker in a secret locale in the village area. So far I've only noticed 2 streamers find the hitchhikers; really hope you find them; it's a cool reveal. Yes, I know I'm a month late lol.
Everything looks very good. Capcom did a good job of that.
I was there for the very 1st res evil. A never had a memory card so was a single play through or nothing for a while, I’ll never forget my 1st encounter with a hunter looool. Insta death and just sat staring at the you’re dead screen for like 10 minutes
Don't be nervous! This game has a very different rhythm from RE2R where you had to count your bullets. This is one wants you to really go for it and count bodies instead.

I love the extra speaker in the controller. It's cool you can do a knife finisher. I hate the bear traps. Big hit box ugh.
I’m having the exact same muscle memory problem: except for me it’s Elden Ring! I keep trying to roll away from danger, and parry the way you do in Fromsoft games.

The save music is a sign of safety, it only being in the menu makes me think save rooms might be unsafe
My heart is racing going through this so far. As in the plot storyline you will enjoy. My pride is getting destroyed as well. Lot of numbers of fails in the first chapter we will not discuss. 😢😅

Maybe it's just me but being cornered is actually a good thing in Resident Evil. You don't have to worry about your back and just need to aim toward one doorway, maybe killing several people with one shotgun shell or grenade
