I've watched a few of your videos now. Maybe it's time you thought about repositioning your speakers. Sound staging is one of vinyl's natural attributes after all.
I have a small flat and there is no room to reposition. I tend to listen while I am working and am not sat in any position to get a realistic soundstage - it is enough for me that what comes out of the speakers sounds good.
@@slowpawstevet3676 Everything helps really. Most importantly stands and positioning obviously. There are also various inexpensive aids one can try, particularly isolation of components. Good sound isn't all about clarity and treble detail.
FYI. The VOX PL's are the Mono records. You are probably using a Stereo Cartridge using the amp in Stereo mode, which will amplify the noise as well as the music signal. Put the amp in mono and ideally use a mono Cartridge if you are going to buy 1950's recordings. 👍
I would think you are also collecting some muck on your stylus, could be worth a check.
I never noticed any issues. I have a stylus cleaner though just in case which I used once a week.

imaging with good recordings is an amazing thing to behold if your system will achieve it :-)

Thanks. Yes I am aware that VOX is a mono. My amp does not have a mono switch. Frankly it still sounds excellent.
Thanks for the video, not the biggest classical music fan but have already learned a lot from your videos
Invest in a better turntable , tonearm and pickup cartridge …
@@FelixKat-b5k my set up sounds great thank you.
Looks like a nice turntable to me.
