fk man, getting Tanev home to vancouver would be a friggin dream
Allvin needs to watch this and bring Tanev home. Give the Flames the first rounder if need be.
Quinn Hughes asked Canucks management if they can get Tanev back. I guess we'll see what happens
lmao he isn't going there buddy
Why did they let him go in the first place, was there a particular reason? One would think Tanev would have been a perfect fit to play with Hughes or part of a defence core building around him. Also i dont think his cap was/is more than 4 million, which is fine for a defender that actually contributes. Seems like he wanted out of there at the time
@@jlove8445 Benning said he "ran out of time" but I imagine that he didnt wanna bring Tanev back, which I can understand. He spent alot of his time injured with the Canucks, but when he wasnt, he was our best Dman (until we got Hughes)
i miss dad. please come home dad.
Welcome to the Stars, Tanev!
Miss him so much. Stupid benning
“Ran out of time”
nuck fans begging for him back LMAO. sorry boys that ship has saaaaaailed.
Chris is so cool
Love Dad's grit and energy. While I understand that interviews with hockey players can be difficult I thought a lot of these questions were very surface level, I didn't like all of the teeth comments/questions. I really wish the Vancouver subject wouldn't have been broached at all. Elliot Friedmans 32 thoughts interview was far more thoughtful than this one.
What’s so wrong about the teeth questions?
@@red3herebro are you one these interviewers? Commenting on every post
@@red3here I thought it was a very surface level question "look a guy is missing a lot of teeth, let's ask him about it". A lot of hockey players are missing teeth and it's no secret ho and it feels like a missed opportunity when such an interesting player is being intereviewed. I did like the mention of Marky's mask.
I think more intesting questions would have been "We reached out to twitter and we recieved a lot of feedback from Canucks fans, do you feel a connection with the fans or city?"
"Does all of the trade interest from other teams make you feel like any sort of way? From my perspective, you've been an incredible asset of the blue line and in the locker room no matter where you've been and it's nice to see you getting that kind of recognition that teams think you can help lead them to a championchip."
"What did you think of thanksgiving in Texas with the Coleman Family? Was it your first American Thanskgiving?"
"You mentioned you go to a lot of Jays games, how do you split up your offseason to relax?"
"You're known as a shot blocker, where does that fearless attitude come from? Have you always had it? You blocked 20 shots in a game, do you do anything special to assist in your recovery after a game like that?"
the list goes on
I mean, his missing teeth are a big part of him as a player, it shows how much hes willing to commit to blocking the puck and playing how a Dman should.
Such a beauty
Enough with the teeth questions. So cringe and Chris looked uncomfortable.
Why they are allowed to talk about anything didn’t know talking about teeth was cringe but okay then he didn’t look uncomfortable too me.
@@SillySongs4Everyone2001exactly.
@@SillySongs4Everyone2001have you seen all his other interviews? They are literally the same questions.
My only 2 concerns about bringing Chris Tanev back are his age and the fact that when he was here, he was injured at lot. That seems to have changed somewhat in Calgary, but given the travel and schedule situation Vancouver is subjected to, that may be another reason to pass on him, at least as a trade target. When he was in the lineup for the Canucks and healthy, he was great. A bona fide top pairing shutdown defenseman. He's older now, and probably a top 4 at best unless they really want him to get injured. The last thing I'd want, given my memory of him here, is for him to be blocking shots. I get why Quinn would want him back, though. They had great chemistry together and Chris helped him develop into the player he now is. But I'd still have my reservations. If it's going to take significantly more for him, another rental player, than Zadorov, it's a tough decision, but I say pass. They never should have let him go, though. They might not have had a lot of the defensive issues that they did the past few years if he'd still been on the roster.
but, how great would it be to win it all with tanev
Did you watch the interview? He gets injured a lot because he actually block shots and not just half asses it like a lot of the current Canuck D who end up screening Demko or just hold their stick out and deflect the puck past him instead.
“Fearless Snaggletooth” 😂
He is a classy guy.
Dude is an animal
Kind of rude to grill your guest non-stop about his missing teeth.. very cringe worthy to watch..
All hockey players would need to wear a face shield like a goaltender then.
Way to make the man uncomfortable. The sweat on his forehead with stoic expression is very telling that he's not feeling it
He didn’t look uncomfortable too me.
thats him all the time
I mean, he just finished playing a hockey game, sure he had a shower, but that doesnt cool the body down much so Id assume he's still really warm and with all the lights, hes gonna be hot and sweat.
Canucks bring him home
lmao he isn't going there buddy
@@teeflight Why? Cause he's going to Toronto just like every other hockey player wants to go to Toronto? The Flames will trade with whoever gives them the best package, and that could be the Canucks, maybe it wont, we wont know until the deadline.
This was a horrible interview... really, you have one of the top D boys in the league and you spend 3.5 minutes talking to him about his teeth and another 2 mins about his bro's redic team pics... ah... how about talking hockey??? Chris was clearly uncomfortable and eventually so were we to the point where we tuned out. Shame on you guys... like watching a kid getting bullied by adults. Really crappy, Eric you are better!!
They are allowed to talk about anything dude doesn’t have to be just hockey he didn’t look uncomfortable too me how was he being bullied?
@@red3here Right on good interview.
Good luck trying to eat corn on the cob. 🌽
How in the holy hell did Benning not resign this gladiator? SMH :/
He didn't...just didn't sign him,.
Benning didnt trade him, he let him walk in FA.
@@taniahaberlack-dolan6082 true..I will edit my post
He chews gum with his mouthguard in? Thats degenerate behaviour
Seriously, all these two can talk about is an injury that occurred 6 years ago. This amateurish fixation diminishes Tanev's exceptional defensive talent. What they should be discussing with him is 1600+ blocked shots, spot on outlet passes, and the immense presence he has on the ice & in the room. Teams are clamouring for him as a UFA & they're talking about teeth!
I was fine with it. As a goalie, I've never understood the mentality of a defensemen trying to intentionally stop a shot with his actual face. Sliding feet first and taking it off you shin pads is fine, but diving head first into the path of the puck wearing only a visor over your eyes is insane. We have full face masks so we can handle the impact but for a D-man or forward to do it, that's a sense of commitment to the game that's worth discussing. The questions were completely valid.
Lost me at responsible journalist. 3/4 of flames fans wants that idiot fired.
