  • In this video I change the spark plugs on my 2005 CBR1000RR. A notoriously fiddly job on this model. In this video I show you how I went about it, and hopefully provided you Fireblade owners with a little bit of foresight if you are thinking of doing the same. As always, I enjoy making the videos and hopefully you enjoy watching them. The music is pretty cool too.
    Please subscribe, it really does help to grow my viewer base and gives me a little bit of a smile for my efforts.
    Cheers all.

    Really appreciate the vid! Just changed out my plugs with the help of this vid, along with completely removing the intake flapper as well as deleting the PAIR valves and covering em up with block off plates. Why does it seem like there's such few installation vids for SC57 bikes? There's thousands for the 600s!

    The spark plug tool in the stock under seat toolkit makes access a lot easier to plug no.1.

  • @Draznesht
    @Draznesht 3 месяца назад +1

    Brother there is no need to disasemble all this stuff. Just remove the radiator bolts and it is easy to access the plugs.

    Just did all this (and more) as I have a slightly damp valve cover so need to replace the gasket, that lower airbox panel needed to come right out to get the valve cover off, it only just squeezed out from the front right hand side, honestly thought the forks were gonna have to come off !!! Proper shit design if you ask me, ah well, at least it's November and I can take my time, got a few other jobs to sort out while it's in bits.. cheers.

    Yeah man. Old plugs look good (colour wise) gap is out though, but as expected. I'd leave the factory gap as it'll increase over time. Bike sounds like it's over fuelling to me

    • @ShedTorque46
      @ShedTorque46  3 года назад

      Nice one mate. Left the gap as it was for that reason, same wave length there 👍 Yeah, it is over fuelling a bit, needs a dyno set up. Cheers for the comment mate appreciate it. Ideal.

    Damn!!
    I had no clue that it was going to be this big of a pain in the ass to do something as simple as change the damn plugs....
    I was thinking it would be a quick, easy, in-and-out job...
    This is going to suck.
    Wish me luck, that I don't lose any of those 900 bolts... please!

      I didn't, but if you have a new set go for it. Being as though it's all apart. I took all mine apart and just give it all a damn good cleaning.

      Check the connector BEHIND the guague cluster.. it may be lose.
      Otherwise check the clutch swith on the handlebar... and then there is a wire that goes to the NSS in front of the kick stand.. it may be lose
