- Having a watch polished can be a scary thing IF you do not have the right person. I for one am a watchmakers worst nightmare lol. I like my watches done a certain way. I always say that the right watchmaker can polish a watch 100 times but it only takes 1 time for a bad watchmaker to leave permanent damage. Knowing the right person is very important. This particular person that I use is one of my friends and has over 50 years of experience. He is located here in Miami and is one of the few that I can trust with my personal watches from my collection. Most people think that this is a fast process but really do not understand all the steps that it takes to really get a correct watch refinish completed. Hope you guys enjoy this video as much as I did.

Thank You! Bringing you content is my mission!😎
RED?
Very high end digital camera
@@jongallo Thanks.
@@WatchEric is that black portion resin encircling the movement ??
A bit curious to know if it is...
As a non watch person I’m starting to appreciate why all this shit costs so much, loved the video.
Thats what it is
hm for that service
I took me time to understand why those watches are so expensive, but now I can completely understand all the hard work, experience and care involved. This is orchestral!
Have you bought a watch yet ?
got such a 80s-90s vibe to this camera color / music.
love it!
🙌🏼💯😎
nice
This "how its made" style of video is unique bud....I think you've stumbled upon your lane. Wow and thanks for making this!
I felt like I was in a movie, where a small group of soldiers defeated 10000 enemies.
But in the meantime, they "just" cleaned and polished Eric's watch.
Loved it!
Thank you. I put time and effort into them.
That was both fascinating and frightening. The end result was brilliant. True artisan at work here. This has always been a mystery and the work involved is amazing. Thanks for sharing Eric.
agree
Glad you of all liked it!
Thank you! Cheers!
Now this is brilliant. Us diehard watch enthusiasts crave this kind of technical content, and man the skills it takes to do a full polish on a high end piece like this. I hope this isn't a dying art.
Wow. The video and editing was amazing. A true masterpiece. This was stunning to watch. If this is a taste of things to come then I am all in. Can’t wait.

As for the videography and the stylisation everything down to the music, was on point. 🎱

Awesome video ... so informative showing the chamfers and how hard it is to keep those sharp edges our watchmaker really is special ...I’d lobe for you to do a video on him and show his story he’s a great asset to our miami community GENTA would be proud
Thanks for watching!
I've always wanted to watch the pro polishers! thanks!
Great video, keep up the good work Eric.
Thank you Nelson.
I would be interested to have you interview one of these guys , to get their opinion on what watches they think are top class. They do get to strip and see them closer than most and like you say , have years of experience .
The music and video work are perfect great video
That was the idea! MainFrameMedia!!
Nailed it again ✅
Stunning. Watching the satin process is jaw-dropping.
Minty fresh. The amount of time and talent to do these skills are amazing. I hope young people look at this and go into this skill trade. All of these talented people are all over 50 years of age. In 25 years, it will get harder to find this skill.
From Italy. Great video👏👏👏
So cool to watch the experience!
Truly amazing!
Great video - very relaxing
That was the idea!
And now you know why it cost so much to service a high end watch.
Great behind the scenes video 🙌🏽
Seriously!
Love it. Great video. Thanks.
Such craftmanship, very interesting to see.
Top choice for a vid! Thanks Erick! 👍🏻💯🔥
Bobbing my head to this while watching a grail watch getting polished up! Sick
💯🙌🏼😎⌚️
It’s nice to see a watch collector and dealer actually get their watch polished. I get so tired of hearing about not getting watches polished and them looking like the fell out of my Jeep and got
run over.
Bravo 👏🏽 keep them coming!
Great content! Thank you for sharing, keep up the great work
Insane craftsmanship!
Amazing watching this elite artist work. Stunning piece finished impeccably. 😎⌚👍
Great video !!!!!!!
Outstanding video, that guy has Jedi skills congrats.

One word - Amazing!!!
Great content - very interesting to see this side of the watch industry 🤓👍
It’s something that I never get bored of.
Great video Eric!! Have you ever had a Rolex polished by Rolex? If so..did it turn out just as nice as your Royal oak? Love your enthusiasm and honest opinions when it comes to these timepieces. Keep up the great videos!!!
They did an amazing job on your baby! It’s soch a beauty 😍😍😍
I was very pleased
Dang good video Eric 👌
COOL VIDEO.BEAUTIFUL WATCH
A true Artisan THANK YOU for posting !
A Roger Dubuis video would be nice 😏
Stunning ! 👍
Glad you think so!
Love the music. Got a Miami vibe going on there fella.
I keep coming back & watching this master craftsman at work & I don’t mean you Eric. My Royal Oak 15400 OR is with AP at the moment for service & polish, can’t wait to see the result.
Did they do a good job? Did they keep all the sharp lines on the side and edges of the case?
@@rey_s90 Hi, yes they sent the watch back like new, I also had a new croc strap fitted.
Ironically today I have taken my 26331 rose gold chocolate dial for service & polish to AP House London, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with the task.
Not cheap but you know the best people with the correct equipment are I trusted with the job
@@rey_s90 it came back like new! In fact yesterday I delivered my 26331 chocolate dial chronograph in for the same full service & polish. I feel safer letting AP do the work rather than chance picking someone who is not up to the job.
The full service & polish for the rose gold 26331 chronograph came in at £1830 yesterday but it takes 10 weeks, the 15400 as I recall was about £1200 but you will be amazed at the transformation & by using AP you know everything is genuine with all the right paperwork.
@@rey_s90 I’m not sure if you received my response but yes it came back like brand new. I’ve just taken in my 26331OR chocolate dial for the same treatment.
Great insight! Loved it
So glad!
Amazing! Work of Art
Very interesting! Thank you for the Video!😍
Hi Eric, after a long time......love your vlogs
Welcome aboard!
Great vid
satisfying to watch
Unbelievable talent and respect for this watchmaker! It’s like watching an operation! Next time I send my Rolex in for service I am going to be put under. Ha.
great work Eric
That was really interesting and nicely done! At the 6:58 mark I briefly see a jewelers loupe. Is there a particular brand of loupe you like to use Eric? Thanks for all the great content.
That’s the care I need for my watch too well done
Eric, this is your next video that gets at least a million views. You know how to make real wristporn. 😎💯🐐🔥👌
You never know!
Nerve wracking!! A master craftsman
Sweet. Using the screw driver to pop off the bezel. That's what I'd do! I use a scew driver for everything. Great video.
Lol. He uses a plastic pry bar
Amazing skills and craftsmanship. More impressive than the actual AP ;-)
That is the key!
