I agree, Thomas! I cringe at all that human contact. How long before somone tries to take a marmot home? Also, too much foot traffic destroying their habitat not to mention they are feeding them junk and passing on disease.
You are privileged to be able to see them and feed them where you live. We dont have them in the states. Prarie dogs, yes. Groundhogs, yes. Marmots no. The two aforementioned are the closest we have.
They taste like lamp or sheep as they are grass fed , we had a few roasted in a fireplace in a restorunt in Thibet 4 weeks ago in the Everest summit window 2024. Its the national delicatessy and they crossbreed them and farm them for food. They are an amazing source of protein for bodybuilding rich in L-creatine and other essential amino acids. The fat on their meat makes them unsuitable for a fat loss diet. Serpas use their fur as boot insulation also.
In this case it's just being playful. I'm sure they don't mind. This is providing them extremely easy nutrition compare to there not being any human visitors. There is actual animal cruelty and misstreatment happening all around the World. I would suggest sparing your energy on fighting against those instead. Thanks for a lovely and wholesome video 💛
