When Pete and Zeke didn't interrupt Tristan's crazy monologue, I wondered: Are they frozen by fear, or by a dreadful excitement?
They were being reborn as the lizards they were destined to be
And that was the moment the darkness, began to shine!
That was the usable footage
They let him continue because they are crippled by the guilt of leaving him behind.
This comment almost made me laugh as much as the video. Well done!
Notice that Ryan Gosling never once blinks his eyes when delivering the monologue at the end. Super!!

John Bertrand Ryan Gosling definitely nailed the creepy vibes 😂. He’s great at being dramatic (like in the papyrus sketch) and that makes it even funnier

The irony is that growing up with a single father is significantly better than growing up in a single mother household. The single most common factor of people that dropped out of high school, went to jail, or are addicts is that they were raised by a single mom. On the flip side kids raised by single fathers have the same statistical probability of doing those things as children raised by 2 parents. A kid is better up growing up poor with a single father than growing up middle class with a single mom.

As an actual house-flipping reality show, I don't see this happening (it'd be too dark). However, if it was a black-comedy cable sitcom (think "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"-level black comedy) about three brothers doing a house-flipping reality show and all the behind-the-scenes drama and disturbing family secrets that more often than not make its way onto episodes, it could work.

Well, maybe not a cast member, since the last time the show had famous people as cast member (season 11 with Joan Cusack, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Michael Hall, and Randy Quaid before he went nuts), NBC threatened to cancel the show. He can be like Steve Martin, Christopher Walken, Alec Baldwin, or Buck Henry and just frequently host.
I'm sure he'll take the pay cut.

If you all are wondering why he doesn't break character in this skit it's because it's a dramatic role in a comedic setting. Ryan struggles staying in character on live TV.......when it comes to comedy. But he is a dramatic actor. It's his natural habitat. It's where he excels. His performance was disturbing and exceedingly dark. But that's the mark of a great actor. Unless he isn't acting.
Charlize Theron did an SNL kit with Kate McKinnon (cat ladies) that did something similar, it was a fantastic sketch.

We designed and built the home we wanted with all the stuff we wanted. Boom. Haven't watched HGTV since. Oh, and all our friends, who evidently thought they were better than us, disappeared.
