In the early 1960's my father worked for the FAA and we lived in Kotzebue. Dad purchased a 1946 PA12 with a low time O235 but fabric that failed the punch test. We recovered it with ceconite. I learned to fly in it. We moved stateside in 1965. If we had stayed in Alaska I wanted to get a 1947 Super Cruiser, (because of the location of the fuel selector) do the O320 conversion, add flaps and super cub gear. You did a beautiful job.
I rebuilt a PA-12 and spent almost a year just on the fuselage. Had to replace almost as much tubing as you did. I had about 35 STC on file by the time it was done. Sometimes I question if it was worth it. Then I go fly. Nice video dude.
My log books are with my A&P in Alaska, and I wont see them again until June. If you have any specific STC questions, I can probably go off of memory. PA-18 Tail and 150 HP engine are Kenmore, PA-18 landing gear is Atlee, and PA-18 trim control, and extended baggage are Sullivan.

Enjoyed your rebuild. I been flying Super Cruisers off an on since high school. I own a 1946 now. Painted original colors N7504H
Very nice restoration.
Nice job. I'd like to hear your opinion regarding the PA-12 vs PA-18 you mentioned you'd try and do.
do you have some pictures of the process removing the bungee structure ?
I don’t. Basically, the main cross tube had to be replaced on mine due to corrosion, so I cut the whole assembly out.
Was this one for sale recently? Looks nice!
Yes it has been sold.
Do you have the modifications according STC SA564 AL and SA565AL in your PA12? If yes, do you have the drawings? Or do you know where we can get them?
Not certain on these. I sold the plane, and the records went with.
Do you have an stc list for this plane? I’m interested in installing many of them when I rebuild my 12

@@robinbarry8200 Awesome, thanks! I got a project that I would like to convert into a more useable plane.
@@robinbarry8200awesome build. Good video.
