It’s fitting that in this video about family the first person to comment was my son. I introduced him to your channel a few months back and when this dropped he immediately sent me the link. On our way home he saw that you had liked his comment and the grin on his face was priceless. Thanks for the memory DT. We’ll keep bonding over your channel for as long as you keep the videos coming.

I repaired the press frame of one of these for a friend. If you take that drill out of the frame and use it freehand, it will absolutely kill you. There is so much torque it will throw you all over the garage. Completely awesome.

there's a video on RUclips of some jewelers making a massive cuban link chain, and they use one of those, with a super-slow gear reduction to twist two gold bars together, and it absolutely looked like they're wrangling with death every moment they've been using it

      I have a similar one.
I made a paddle type bit a few feet long to make holes in the ground to feed tree roots.
There was no stalling that motor! Just had to make sure it didn't get in a position that you couldn't release the trigger.

I recently had to wrangle the centre stand spring back on my bicycle. It's held on by a bolt that goes through the front forks and shares it with the basket mount. It was nigh on impossible. When I finally managed to get it back on after a lot of sweating and straining I realised I forgot to replace the basket mount and had to do it all over again. Watching you fight with the spring on your press was exactly the therapy I needed to recover. Thank you.

I am currently repairing a similar drill to this, and I broke the part pictured in your hands at 8:15 while disassembling it. I have been trying to recreate that part since, and was wondering if you might be able to provide some measurements or some sort of help since you have the same exact part, but whole. If you can't or don't feel like going through the motions of disassembling the whole thing again, that's alright as well. This would be very helpful for me.

@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 Thank you very much for responding (which I wasn't sure you were going to do in the first place). If you are able to email me the information, you can use the email I have for “business inquiries.” I'm not exactly sure what type of measurements you want to do on it, but I was mostly wondering the size of the main hole on it. You could also take a high quality image of the part itself, which could be helpful.
