I fell in love with this instrumental over half a century ago on radio, then had to wait until it was placed on RUclips to hear it again. The original Nini Rossi version had the wonderfully appropriate interlude of Italian speech in it, which I liked very much, even though, knowing only a few Italian words, I had no understanding of what was said.

The most beautiful trumpet playing I have heard in my lifetime it was wonderful to hear my tears are flowing at such great music.
I strongly suggest you seek out other, better renditions, especially that by the composer Nini Rosso.
That's been around for ever and I always loved it.
Roy Etzel also does an excellent rendition.
I have listened to them all multiple times. I too, think this the best. All are beautiful but this one reaches into my soul like no other.
