what happens when safety clutch is triggered? How do you know if it is or isnt? My machine is sewing perfectly... lines are straight and even... I'm just trying to learn about the machine by sewing lines... however... it broke 3 needles... and I'm not sure why? If I am holding the thread for the first few stitches(I do it because the machine is so powerful and sucks thread otherwise if I dont hold it), but when i tried to hold it...(maybe to tightly?) the machine broke is needle right away...(3times)...
You will know when the bobbin no longer rotates at all. The top thread will not retrieve the bottom thread if the bobbin does not spin. Your machine will not sew at all.
also... why is it so difficult to pull the material out after stitching a line... top thread is really difficult to pull through and Its like tug awar getting it out without popping the thread while doing so 😣...
There are only two places in the full rotation of that shaft that have holes in them, that the button you are pushing will go into slowly spin it around while pushing on the button. It will go down when it hits one of those holes.
I now understand what occurs (behinds the scenes) when you reset the S-clutch button and R-rotate the drive.
Many thanks.
Juki 1541S.
Very good demonstration SewingGold, thanks. I have the same machine , 1541S. Question. Should I lubricate these Safety Clutch Components?

What can you do if the button on top won’t push down?
