I bought a cheesewire-type rope off Amazon in lockdown for my daughters and me to try to learn to skip; they used to wrap it around their hands as it was too long. We were hopeless but hooked on learning to skip. One night, I was searching on RUclips for skipping videos and I came across one of Rushie’s early ones. That was the start of it. The next day, I said to the girls “I’ve found the master at skipping” and I showed them the videos. It snowballed from there. We ditched the rope and I bought RA ropes and a mat. We all started improving. The best day was going to RA headquarters; Megan even shot a video which appeared on here. We’re still massively into it but Megan’s put things on hold to revise for exams. I think skipping has changed our lives.

My favorite RA RUclips moment was when I stumbled across your channel when I first got into skipping just over a year ago, in February 2023. Your channel got me hooked on skipping. Connecting with you for a couple of sessions and meeting Lys in September 2023 at Fly City was an amazing experience. Looking forward to reconnecting in person around May 2025 if it works out. I think my favourite moment of my RA journey is probably when the email popped through confirming the Nova Testing Day back in March 2023... there was SO much love and support on that day from everyone.. My fondest memory of RA was when I was looking for a tutorial for the DU XO variation.
I stumbled upon a video tutorial of a man, doing jumping rope on top of a circular black mat with an orange jumping rope. The opening song was catchy All Time low. The tutorials were still being shot at the old HQ
I thought to myself during that time, wow thi nis cool. Upon browsing through the videos, all the tutorials were slick and smooth.
You were the only one who was taking/editing your videos/pictures that time until you hired Nathan.
I started following since then, since pandemic time.
It was such an amazing story, from your corporate job to following your passion.
And where are you now? New HQ, different rope variants, lots of accessories etc...

I started skipping 11 months ago (had to take a two month break due to injury) the way I found out about RA was actually on Amazon. I was using those skinny ropes and wanted a pvc one. Rush Athletics came up. But instead of buying off amazon I wondered if there was a website and decided to check it out. But before I made a purchase I don't no why but I said let me check out on RUclips. Omg. 😮 I saw this guy in glasses skipping outside what I thought was his house with no shoes on and the skills I witnessed I had never seen anything like it before. I was totally new to skipping just doing basic bounce and boxer skip which I didn't even know was called that I just did it. And from then I knew I wanted to learn everything I could about skipping. I even tried some of the skills but I couldn't do any of them 😂 but now because of Rush Athletics I became a skipping junkie. And have learnt a lot of skills.. I'm still slow at them though.. I follow on IG, tiktok and have subscribed on RUclips. Money Rope is my favourite rope. I bought a different rope from a different company (won't say the name) didn't like it.. I'm yet to come across a rope as smooth as the money.. Sorry long winded essay. Thank u for always inspiring
