    Thank you Jimmy for your suggestion about the use of Asio4all: this completely solved my problem with letancy.
    I have a suggestion for you: if you configure AD identifing the MPS 850 as a Roland kit (i.e. TD 10, TD 20 or TD 9) all pad and cymbal of the Millennium will be correctly mapped by AD, and your hi hat will be recognized with 4 different open level, not just open/closed; only the hi-hat splash is still missing, but you can try to improve it using the learn function

    Hey man I wanted to ask a question. I recently got this kit and love playing it. Recording is troublesome, I'm trying to use the usb recording feature but whenever I transfer it to my pc all programs will only play the recording back for 3 - 4 minutes. Usually clips like hell even when I turn the master down on the module. Have you ever had this happen? Still a bit off from being able to use the midi side of things.
    If you or anyone has any help that'd be great.

      Hey man thanks for commenting! As for the clipping problem I'm not sure what could cause that? Have you tried lowering the master volume in your daw? Also what drivers are you using? @@Jimmyoldfield Thanks for the speedy reply! It's odd, it's clipping in audacity and sony vegas. I'm not even using the midi option. It's the usb when I take it out of the module to play it on pc. I could do a few takes on one recording, say 10 minutes and when I go to play it back I can only listen to 3 or 4 minutes, never the full thing.
      I tried using it in a daw, ableton to be exact. Was ok once I figured it out but the standard kits don't sound as good as how I set my module and can't afford a vst right now. ha ha 1st world problems eh

    hi. what midi mapping did you choose on AD to make it work with mps-850?

    • @Jimmyoldfield
      @Jimmyoldfield  5 лет назад

      Hi so all I did was just use a map like the alesis map, Roland map or GM, then you just have to configure it to suit the kit and save the map as your own hope this helps! :)

    Hi Jimmy, have you been able to send the following to AD2 via midi:
    - HH splash
    - More than only 2 levels of HH openness (open/close)
    - Aftertouch CC message (for cymbal choke)
    Hope you can let us know!

    • @Jimmyoldfield

      Hey Alex unfortunately not HH splash isn't possible I don't think, and the hi hat can only be open or closed and all cymbals can be choked :)

      I have mps-750 and so far I managed to use hi-hat with 3 modes: open, half-closed and closed. I can see the bar moving precisely in AD2 as I am closing the HH control, but I didn't manage to assign more than 3 sounds.

      @Yehor Sanko I thought I once had a half-open but it was while I plugged my earphones to the kit in audio mode. Any idea what the midi note or CC message might be associated with it?

      Hey thank you so much! :) as for recording E Drums, if you use a (square printer type) USB not sure of the exact name, and plug that into the back of the drum module and plug the other end into your laptop and run the midi through a DAW you can then record the midi drums using a vst, hope this helps and i hope it made sense lol and thanks for watching! :)
