I've heard that blue is a color that people wear when they want to be considered 'friendly'. You can see the amount of dresses, blue suits and ties in broadcasting where they are hoping it relays a measure of confidences and friendliness. Great topic❤

As a soft autumn, blue makes me feel dull, black would make me feel ugly, red would make me feel brighter and happier, neutrals make me feel cozy, I don’t ever find purple that I like, pink makes me feel weak, orange or salmon is a happy color for me, green makes me feel sociable. I guess I really dislike these studies because they emphasize black as sophisticated which is a concept that I have disagreed with all my life. The fashion industry wants to put everyone in black which is so awful for my coloring. When I was younger I just felt like something was wrong with me. Now of course I would like to think that the fashion world has changed but I don’t think so…. Glad you ladies are helping to educate!

💚 Green = tranquility, down to earth or in some cases- grungy

Can understand how ppl wear white trousers. I live in Scotland and puddles are fact of everyday life :)

As a summer I only wear black if I am dripping in pearls, silver, and shine. Its the only color where I go a little bit more overboard with my jewelry in order to bring lightness and shine especially around my face. I tend to go for slinky light weight and shiny/satin black material rather than heavy matte black. I also make sure my make up is very shiny and fresh like a pearl with a glossy lip. It really counterbalances the visual weight of black on my body.

Being light summer, red isn’t supposed to be my colour but it wouldn’t stop me in the future buying another coat or a red handbag even though my husband has an opinion on colours that clash with my fair hair and skin. I am much more likely to pair periwinkle tops with black, grey, or white jeans. (Very, very dark blue jeans will work in a pinch-but to my eyes, it’s not optimal.) I'm certainly not part of the herd thinking when it comes to black, I don't wear it often because I've always associated it with a lack of imagination, a person who is boring, a person who has no creativity, and a wearing represents a lack of effort . . . things I don't want to feel or convey to the world! Love wearing Red. I’m very extroverted. Would never go back to wearing black yuck 😝 or wearing straight neutral colors. The brighter the better

Athena has not worn black in two years now. We both wear navy and I wear black glad I don’t have to give it up. 😂

At first I thought “ oh,26 minutes, it’s kind of a long video…” ( prefer either 10 min or more than an hour). But the way you communicate with each other… it’s so sweet!🫶🏻 i also have a grown up daughter) thank you for your video! I’ve noticed that your fave colors can change with time. I adored red, now I find it too loud). Thank you

Winter is the ONLY season that belongs in black! The rest of us. Nope. I’m a spring I’d wear ivory to give a speech. Black would age me and I’d have dark circles under my eyes when I actually don’t have dark circles.

More people wear black in cities than in the countryside, in my experience, and that is because cities are dirtier...I would not wear my white summer trousers on the London Underground - for example. Most fashion designers live in big cities and know that their clients wear black - so design using black often .Where the history may come in about black, is that it is still seen as 'old money' - as the idea of a 'black-tie event', for example, goes back generations.

He sounds warm so comparing soft autumn colours vs bright spring colours on him to see what suits him best.
Based on your description my guess would be true spring, but you know him best.

I don't ever wear red!!! Except brick red when I was a young/middle-age adult. Now it doesn't feel right to me. It's pushy to me.
Never worn black except when I was very young at Christmas-velvet. Black is the absence of color and makes me think of black holes.
Like purples of many kinds, but don't feel more respected. For speech I'd wear Autumn navy or darker brown.
So far colors are mostly generational (68 here).
Baby pink or baby blue are youthful since babies come home from hosp. in those blankets (not now tho).
