You gave a very thorough and detailed review video for GGDB sneakers, so well done there! As a guy, I don't see many of us out there rocking the Geese, but I'm a low key fan of the Ball Star silhouette, so much so, that I had to cop a pair of a certain limited summer colorway. I had the same struggles with sizing as you mentioned. Being between an 8.5 Wide - 9 Regular (Men's), I ordered both an EU 41 and 42. I found the latter to be too long while the former was a bit tight and narrow in toe box. Ultimately, I decided to go with the smaller 41, figuring that because it is premium nappa leather, it will expand and mold to my foot shape. However, Golden Goose sneakers do run quite narrow like most high fashion Italian shoes (at least with the Ball Stars). Somehow for me, they were very uncomfortable for the first 3-4 weeks before breaking in. I found the raised heel insoles to be hard and jam my foot forward. In the end, I decided to keep my pair, but my conclusion is that if you have wide feet and fall in between full sizes (like me), you will have to suffer for the break-in period before you begin to enjoy wearing them. They seem to be geared towards the narrow footed demographic.
I definitely agree!! I do not have a wide food so maybe that’s why it was totally fine and comfortable for me to size down a bit! Thanks for the thorough information!

Hey- not a bother! If you look at my other comments, I have shared the centimeter length of my foot for reference. I believe it was 21 or 22 but I can’t quite remember. I am a true 6.5 and a 6 fit me best.
Hello! Thank you for such a thorough review. Just like you I am a true 6.5 so I also buy the 36 in GG. The only thing for me is I buy the Velcro ones because I can’t seem to keep the laces version on - they always slip up on my heel. I think I get what you’re saying!!! They do stay on with no issues with my thin socks- they don’t feel like they slip or anything and my laces aren’t too tight because I can just slip the shoes on- I had to play around with how tight the laces were though to get them just right.
Jessica, thanks much for the nice video and it is so helpful. So now It comes to golden goose and I also got some headache on the size to buy. According to your video think u wud suggest a 36 for me? I just managed to measure my bare foot length it's 22.5cm.
Sorry for the delayed- wanted to measure my foot! My foot length is 21cm and the 36 fit a tad tight at first, but has since stretched perfectly and I have plenty of room for socks as well. The 37 slipped off my heel too much. I don’t want to say what size to get and it be too big or too small, but it sounds like you may be closer to a 36. You can also wear them with socks and use a blow dryer on them while they are on to help stretch if needed!

I tried 7 and it was tight so bought 8 since no half sized were available
That’s what I do!
very nice & detailed vid, jsyk it's pronounced net-a-portay , a pun on the french "prête à porter" (ready to wear) :) lol
Hahahaha I’m embarrassed of myself 🤣 thanks for telling me!!!
@@TheJessTayls lol it was rly a great vid & helped me a lot with sizing !
Where is your necklace from?
@@TheJessTayls Great video - I've been trying to find good information about sizing and GG for a long time! Sometimes their size charts just don't cut it! :) Don't bbe embarrassed, I pronounced Net-A-Porter incorrectly for a very long time and I shop their site frequently! They don't care how we pronounce it, lol :) I'm a true 7.5 and I have a 37 and a 38 in my cart off and on for about a month :) I have a narrow foot and a wider foot (had surgery) so I guess I will go with a 37 - Unfortunately I use my debit card so I can't float both sizes at the same time! W/ a credit card , it's a little easier :) Thoughts?
Are you usually US size 7? Then you order the EU 37?
I’m usually a 6.5 and a 7 in running sneakers. In these, I ordered both 37 and 36 and the 36 fit perfect, the 37 was too big.
@@TheJessTayls thinking to buy size EU 37 even I’m US size 7, and my feet are wider.. you think they can fit me those size EU 37?
@@TheJessTayls thank you for the replay quickly.. 😁
@@blessiecramp9940 I think there’s a good chance the 37 would work- because I found I sized down in them, and they will stretch/conform to your foot a bit the more you wear them since they are leather.
Oh no I fit 44,5eur and i only have 44eur ggdb size avaible 😢😢😢
I have the Pure Star golden goose shoes and they hurt your feet! My Brooks shoes are 10 times more comfortable! Sincerely Jack
how was your break in period?, im suffering lol
Haha I seriously did not have one!!! Mine were comfortable from the beginning and just got better and better.
I feel you. It took me about 1 month to break mine in. It wasn't comfortable walking in them for any significant amount of distance... for a while.
I don't know how people are able to claim they are comfortable out of the box.
Please tell where me where your necklaces are from. Thank you!
Hey there! My disk necklace is from Etsy, the link is here: rstyle.me/cz-n/ffmcsschp3f
My J initial necklace is from a local jeweler and was a special gift so I’m unfortunately not able to provide a link!
@@TheJessTayls thank you! And thank you for your review of the sneakers! Heading over to my local golden goose store tomorrow. You’ve inspired me. Awesome review.
@@TheJessTayls hi again! Got the necklace! Thanks again. Also, went to Neiman’s. Found an awesome pair of golden goose. Took my TTS 41 They are so gorgeous, but I feel my big toe. They are not available in 42. What do you recommend? Get and break them in? Will they give? What is your experience?
@@johnleeod I hope you love the necklace!! I felt my toe in mine for a few weeks of consistent wear and now they fit perfect. I didn’t try to stretch them out or anything- it just kind of naturally happened. But I didn’t feel it to where they were uncomfortable, if they are not comfortable maybe go a size up? So now they are perfect and I don’t notice my toes in them at all!!
@@TheJessTayls thank you! I went ahead and ordered a pair from Net-a-Porter but they are NOT the same. Net-a-Porter had a 42, which felt more comfortable at the golden goose store. The ones I saw at Neiman’s were a dream, but they do not come in 42. Ugh! Need to decide what to do.
Out of all the golden goose reviews on RUclips (and I’ve been looking for days), yours is the clearest, most comprehensive review. Thank you!
I couldn’t find the same color combo 😢
That way of tying is so much more difficult than putting the last cross cross under the tongue or sole and ha j f a single knot
Yeah it probably is! Just depends on the look someone wants to go for. I’ve actually thought about doing that instead after wearing them a lot and the inside laces kind of touch each other when I walk if that makes sense. What you’re talking about is a much cleaner look!
I have GG and it was one of the worst shoes I purchased. They are not worth more than 30$
Man I hate you had that experience!! Mine are so comfortable and have held up so well for long walks and traveling I love them! They are ridiculous price wise though 😂
I love the look, but they're crazy uncomfortable. Call me crazy but for that amount of money, there should be no breaking in period. Rip off.
I’ve heard so many mixed reviews like this! Mine are extremely comfortable and had zero break in period (they’ve just conformed to my feet over time) but I have heard people say theirs were the worst!! ☹️
No they are not worth it. Ridiculous looking shoes...overpriced and not vegan
Yes I used to agree with you lol it’s all a matter of taste! To each their own and I respect that opinion- this is why I called it a “controversial” shoe! Thanks for viewing
@@TheJessTayls I love mine, too. I have several pairs … I wear a different pair every day. 😃
Ugly shoe
@ *LUYBAG* I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
