Great interview! I was a sniper in the early 90s, I used the L96a1. Which I thought was an amazing system. But it is great to hear from someone about how things are done now, and how his experiences compare to my own.

I was fortunate to do a scout snipers cse at fort AP Hill. And got thrown a Barrett for screen force and anti airdefence use in 2003. A ZU 23 2 and crew on the Al Faw. Later on stopping a suicide vehicle in Basra hey taking out the Toyota engine and drive. Good times. But the .338 lapua was the Afghan weapon of choice and a better sniper weapon. Try stalking with a Barrett ! 😡🤬🥵

@@jimbocrispy6908 I believe the average age is 19. I was 17 but there were blokes in my troop in their late 20’s. Definitely a younger man’s game but if you’re robust there shouldn’t be an issue

i cant believe it! my application got refused coz i was chargeed wiv drunken dissorderly month ago now i gotta wait 12 moths to reapply, so gutted if any1 can see this try your best to not get in trouble wiv the police if u gona apply, doesnt matter if its something minor like a conditional discharge (an amount of time ur not aloud to get in trouble with police) if you have an ongoing conviction or order from court that lasts a certain amount of time major or very minor they will not alow you application to procceed. such a shame i rarely drink aswell so gutted.
