Fly Tying Sabiki minnow

Recycling materials for a Sabiki minnow. Eagle claw long shank hook, fire orange 8/0 thread, iridescent plastic, and some flash.

I like this pattern it is simple and easy to make and can be experimented with on the body. I am wondering thoe if a person can not find the mylar bags like what you have been able to find if a mylar balloon can be used? Just wondering if it would be possible.

Yes, I would use any fairly tough material that can be cut to shape and has color or flash. Hit up dollar stores. Inexpensive gift or party bags and gift ribbon. Try it out and let me know! Thanks for watching

My intention was to tie a fly that was like a Sabiki minnow. The pre made Sabiki rigs are definitely easy and cheap.
