CORRECTION: The crafting reagents needed by other professions do not come from Ziri's Mystery Box. They come from cleaning the Grime-Encrusted Salvage by using the Salvagematic after you complete the quest.
I have killed about 50-60 demons in about 30 min and the figure spawned 10 min ago for me. but people around the area told me they were there for hours(6 even) and still nothing. It definitely works, but it`s kinda shit it seems @@Kratormode
I got my shadowy figure spawned from third mob, lucky I guess. And btw I killed same mobs that drops the Voidcore (Hatecrest Screamer). So I can 100% confirm other mobs can spawn it too.
@@Rautaneito69 I can confirm it drops anywhere. I got the spent voidcore on the 5th naga kill and the shadowy figure on the SECOND naga kill right after the core drop rofl. So 7 kills to get the 2 items. Luck was finally on my side.

For those doing triangulation: The Ferelas isle of dread one you can actually run with your mount down the west side with no problems, no mobs there, need to swim. Make sure to utilize death res's to maximize your time and distance traveled if you are alliance or possibly horde.
Also if you are like me and didn't click the salvage machine during the raid and wanted to start the quest but the raid has been reset, you can actually Shadowstep to an enemy behind the electric "fence" and just vanish right after and get inside to do the quest. Mage can also blink it and apparently you can just walk out from the inside so you don't have to Shadowstep out.
A small correction: you don‘t have to go to Desolace for the Shadowy figure. For me it spawned on Feathermoon island killing the wolves between the Naga in the south and the stronghold.
spent void core and shadow figure look to drop and appear a lot quicker. Naga sorcress on the southern island were better when I did it as the north island was being farmed by alliance. Probably took about 8 kills. Shadow figure I got after 2nd kill on a succubus.
I did this quest. it was like an hour and 30 minutes of just walking/flying/boating. Not counting the time spent getting mats. What the heck man. Also hot tip way late: there is a teleporter to and from the engineer at the bottom of the pillar so you dont have to go back to booty and teleport back, could save you like 10-15 mins, who am i kidding we dont value our time, do we? I dont know anymore man.

When we got to killing mobs, the shadowy figure appeared for him and not for me. joined a new group, still, they saw the figure, and i didnt. Figured that something must be bugged, so i went back to get a new shard, in case my shard was bugged, and sure enough, she spawned when i got the new shard. I got the shard before my friend, so i think she spawned for me, before my friend could see her, and my conclusion is, if she has spawned once with your current shard, and you dont interact with her, you need to get a new shard to make her re-appear. Hope this helps!

yes awesome to have 3 times an invisbile shadowy figure that everyone around you can loot the item and you not. great game design that the npc you farming for is invisible for some people and despawns fast
For any one struggling the Shadow Figure doesnt spawn, all i did i killed some mobs then relogged and checked the buddys again and i saw it in one of them,
If you are trying to get shadowy figure to spawn, I had better luck with her spawning in the same area you kill the nagas to get the spent void crystal
someone said in comments that if you disable all your addons it spawns so i did that and killed 3 mobs and got it thanks for that comment spent too long here.
The real kicker is all the mats you need but can’t make yourself cus it’s from other professions. Yeah sure I now need to fork out at least 100g for gniodine and glowing leather for my cloth piece lol

Yoo Simon, quick question of something I noticed from this video. Were you on the quest "Rig Wars" when you killed techbot in that video? Reason I ask is because horde is under the impression we are bugged and can't get to the safe. However when I killed Techbot I got his punchcard. I am unaware of what horde quest (if any) generally gives the punch card. However I am thinking that may be the way to get through the gate and to the safe if you were not on the quest when you killed him.
@yeti1989 - From Sarthes video he gets all credit - THIS WORKED FOR ME 3 kills after deleting Cache it worked 8 hours ago (edited) If you had spent ages farming demons to get Shadowy Figure to spawn with no luck, delete the Cache folder contents in World of Warcraft\_classic_era_ directory, there is a bug where you can't see the shadowy figure even if it spawns. I farmed the demons for 2 hours, then deleted the cache folder, 5 min later I had it spawn
is "alot of demons" 3.5 hours of farming them non-stop with no competition? I deleted cache, didn't do nothing. I then removed all add-ons, restarted launcher+game and in about 10-15 mob kills I had it. I also did /reload inbetween each mob. Prior to that I guess I might have killed closer to 500 mobs.
Is there any profession level required to start and/or progress the questline? Or can you do the questline regardless of your professions and only level up the necessary profession after getting access to the recipes?
i assume so, the beacons are numbered in the quest log and the order i did them isn't even 1-2-3-4. that routing just made sense with the flight paths and locations I needed to get to.

BE CAREFUL, if you somehow are in combat when Scooty teleports you to ferelas, it will activate guardians and punt kick you really far off and kill you. I had this happen because I took the port while in combat in BB because of chaotic pvp going on there.

I can confirm. IF other people spawn it, and you cant see it. Log out, and log back in. Then it appears.

Careful following the arrow line in Feralas. Got stuck in a hole 10 yards away and had to wait 25m for HS and then do the travel all over again lol

At lvl 50, we need to kill mobs near our lvl for find the shadow figure (mob that gives XP). NOT need Demons only.

I can confirm shadowy figure spawns in Chicken Quest Cave in Feralas, it spawned on 2nd kill of Yeti.
If you have a problem with the Shadowy figure appearing, try getting a new Shard from the Nagas, Worked for me

I can confirm you dont need full profession, and the Shadowy figure can spawn and any map, i got mine in Feralas.
At the moment my lw profession is at level 124, and I completed the entire chain quest.
