Jujutsu Kaisen (呪術廻戦, rgh. "Sorcery Battle")[b] is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Gege Akutami. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected in 25 tankōbon volumes as of January 2024. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump Giga from April to July 2017, later collected in a tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018.
Jujutsu Kaisen is licensed for English-language release in North America by Viz Media, which has published the manga in print since December 2019. Shueisha publishes the series in English on the Manga Plus online platform. Two novels, written by Ballad Kitaguni, were published in May 2019 and January 2020, respectively. A 24-episode anime television series adaptation produced by MAPPA, aired on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021; a second season aired from July to December 2023. A sequel covering the "Culling Game" arc has been announced. The anime is licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming outside of Asia, which premiered an English dub in November 2020. The anime's original soundtrack was released in April 2021.
By January 2024, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga had over 90 million copies in circulation, including related novels, digital versions, and Jujutsu Kaisen 0, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
Satoru Gojo (五ご条じょう悟さとる Gojō Satoru?) is one of the main protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a special grade jujutsu sorcerer and widely recognized as the strongest in the world. Satoru is the pride of the Gojo Clan, the first person to inherit both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in four hundred years. He works as a teacher at the Tokyo Jujutsu High and uses his influence to protect and train strong young allies.

technically kashimo would never land a hit on miguel so he wouldnt be able to charge his instant lightning but even if he did charge it miguels ct repels and helps him dodge ce/ct in general so he could probably dodge it (hakari almost dodged it raw) and admittedly this is headcanon but i doubt he goes mba against miguel cuz that means he dies. lets say he does go mba, miguel still might be able to dodge his attacks with his ct but idk how he would kill/beat mba kashimo.

Also, I’m pretty sure the binding vow is that for that one time, Sukuna can unleash the world slush without performing the hand signs, but every time he performs it after that, he not only must use the hand signs but also ADDITIONAL steps that include the chanting and aiming with a hand in order for the World Slash to work

The whole point of improving jujutsu is reductionism so he’s probably finding out ways to do the dismantle by doing less or sacrificing the extension of its target area for something less

I’m actually liking this gauntlet, because everyone who’s pulling up were people who could have been shown to be extremely strong, but because Gojo was the strongest person in the current age all these people couldn’t be shown how strong they were properly.
Like Miguel’s ability is perfect, even in this chapter, a strong ability that works in the short run and if you weren’t expecting it to go in so hard and he can snowball the fight. But if you can stall long enough to can understand Miguel abilities and start working on a counter plan. I just hope that when this shows up in the show he gets good beat in the show.

The engine was slowing down because Gojo is gone he fights everyone who he thinks is interesting washes them. That engine is coasting, until Maki stabbed his heart, and now his engine is like slowing down even more…
You know what this kinda reminds me of that final cop chase seen in Two Fast Two Furious. Where things were looking good until they got with that electric hook and Paul Walker’s car was slowing down until he almost got caught but pull that hook out in time and then recovered his speed.
Yeah that Second Sukuna Black Flash is basically him pulling that hook out and his engine is picking up speed again.

I'm just gonna come out say I don't like how Binding Vows are handled in this series. I have a long comment attached to this. But it boils down to that sentiment.
I still think Sukuna can still break this binding vow if he is in a pinch. Mahito broke his binding vow with Mechamaru by indirectly harming the Kyoto students. Sukuna broke his binding vow to Yuji by harming Yuji and force shoving a finger down Megumi's throat.
Binding Vows are based on the perspective, but that's inconsistent. It was in Mahito's favor because even though he was responsible for the attack by making Hanami a distraction, because HE did not attack them we never see him get hit with consequences.
Then on the flipside, when Yuji said ANYBODY apparently that means he didn't include himself???? This probably is just a case of japanese letter of law vs english because grammatically that does not make any sense.
In one translation I read it was suggested that the hand sign and chants just need to happen. It didn't say SUKUNA had to perform these actions. Come to find out how Sukuna can just impose Megumi to carry the burden of mahoraga's adaptation, he can probably just as easily force Megumi to perform the necessary handsigns and chants. The hand that supposedly world slashed Yuta did not have tattoos, so it could have been megumi, and if that is not fixed during the Tankoban release we can pretty much call this wraps. Plus this is japanese wording, we as english speaks just flat out DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT WORDING OR INTERPRETATION OF WHAT HE SAID. Because binding vows can certainly be undermined, it's not hard to imagine Sukuna is not smart enough to give himself a loophole if need be.
To compare how vows are done a bit better, let's look at HunterxHuntet Nen Vows. They are iron clad and absolute. They are a set of instructions that you impose on yourself. Kurapika's binding vow of judgement chain being able to only be used against the members of the phantom troupe or else he dies. It's a powerful and devastating effect, for a singular purpose. The effects are self evident and black and white with no room for Leeway. The conditions are set and are based in what the nen user understands so they can't weasel out of it. Otherwise the nen just flat out won't work. It's always on the Nen User to fulfil the conditions to the utmost otherwise the Nen just won't pull through.
Binding Vows in JJK are messy because it's based upon the perspectives of 2 separate parties, they are treated more like verbal agreements than written contracts. One party can set the terms and conditions to weasel out of their obligations. Even with self-imposed binding vows, you can still weasel out conditions to get what you want in the moment without suffering any consequences. It kind of renders binding vows meaningless in terms of story telling.
Even with MAHITO, when he self-imposed a binding vow with himself to attain that Ultimate Form of Killing or whatever, the vow was that he would not transfigure again... that's hella not true because Mahito did not give up his cursed technique to attain that form, it's implied he still can transfigure humans or people once he is out of that form. We know the cursed technique still exists because Kenjaku used Mahito's technique to start the culling games.
I have no doubt in my mind that Sukuna's binding vow has some trick to it. After all the statements of him holding back, him not being pushed against the wall, that if Sukuna NEEDED to, he can still whip it out without consequence. It's just the heroes have NOT ONCE put him in the hot seat to need to do so.

I disagree while I like this chapter for Miguel and for his relationship with geto being his motivation to fight i think that people that are taking issue with the sukuna fight are completely valid. Especially when you go by the logic that sukuna is being broken down. Sukuna is getting stronger while holding back techniques and as shown with maki can blitz everyone there if he feels like it. Character moments are starting to feel invalid because gege is telling us sukuna is just letting it happen and with every character losing while hes recovering it not only leaves people confused on where this is even going but also unsatisfied as prior efforts are being overwritten to make sukuna look stronger. All this on top of the fact that hes still using slash instead of anything new for no reason I can see where people are coming from. While im still in the camp of seeing where things are going especially when thinking back to the gojo fight and disagreeing with people who said it was to long, to pretend there are no issues and to downplay peoples opinions as if they have no points is disingenuous.

The chapter is...ok. He is still "holding back" which is my main issue. Hes being "broken down" but hes not taken it seriously, got two black flashes. Progress is firmly halted by these two mere facts alone. Which makes it more likely this is going to be a Madara Situation. Matter fact, with the second black flash, it seems we will be headed in the OPPOSITE direction.
