Not related to this video, but I need to thank you for the positive impact you have had on my life. My wife and I have been trying to find some outdoor activity that we can enjoy together for some time. Thanks to your videos on crab snaring, we decided we would try this out (there is no better food that can be pulled out of the ocean than Dungeness crab). We followed your recommendations and went to Fishery Supply to buy the required gear. This store provided the best retail experience I have had in my life (and I am old!). Incredibly helpful people. They made sure we got the best deal, and even shared their tips on crab snaring. We decided to try our luck at Baker's Beach on a beautiful sunny day. Knowing that we were completely new at crab snaring, we had pretty low expectations, but after the first 8 minute soak, I pulled in the first keeper. We kept a total of 3, but caught around 10 in total. My wife and I are honestly both workaholics, but with this new hobby we are both looking forward to weekend adventures together. Long story short, your videos have real positive impact on other people's lives. Please keep up your great work.

This really touches my heart and I am forever thankful for everything you said. thank you for your warm regards! I’m really happy that your able to catch Dungeness crabs on your first day out. You should really give halibut fishing a try this year on Mid April & May. If you like, I can do an inshore fishing tutorial video on how to fish for California halibut in SF bay. Also, feel free to ask any further questions and I’ll try my best to reply back! Again, thank you for your warm regards! Much love. - Anjo

@@bigzfishing4469 I'd really appreciate a halibut fishing tutorial. Your detailed description of rigs and setups for crab snaring was incredibly helpful - and as it turns out, enabled complete newbies like my wife and I to go out and be successful on our first try. We will have to limit our fishing adventures to something that does not involve being on a boat as my wife gets seasick pretty much by just looking at a boat ;o). If you can give us tips on the setup and possible good Bay Area locations for on-shore halibut fishing, I'll share a family halibut recipe (think filo dough with white asparagus sauce). We consider you family at this point, so I am "allowed" to share this closely guarded family secret with you and your thousands of followers ;o)

I roped then at oyster point on saturday, but away from everybody, I never go where everyone at cause those charters are vacuums lol 5 keepers on saturday... second hook up looked like a snag the way the pole was bouncing and how it loaded up once you thumbed it... I launch in Alashmeda everytime, im glad they putbthe docks back but they need to clean those rocks on the left side launch when you're walking down lol

Nice edit! That Second one “ bite “ looked more like a snag to me, but I wasn’t there so could be wrong. Can’t wait to see you limit out once the bite gets hot.

You guys on kayaks put in work out there. Don’t know how you do it. Water clarity has been a big issue with fishing lately but can’t complain. Rain is needed big time here in Cali! I caught one keeper by boat using pile worms and herring combo drifting Berkeley Flats. The scent of the pile worms help. Maybe give they a shot man. Charter boat friend put me on to that combo when water clarity isn’t very good. Good luck out there?

Also, how do you like that Lowrance model? I’ve had issues with an older that was constantly updating causing glitches.

The hook reveal 7 is amazing! Almost every time the issue your describing will either be low voltage on the battery or a bad connection at the battery terminals or somewhere else. It’s an easy fix by keeping your terminals/wires well connected without having a long wire all wrapped up in one bundle, keep the wires short.

Will keep that in mind. I prefer the Garmin I use now. It’s great and very easy to use. They also have great customer service or tech support.
Your rig is similar to a Stinger Rig right? Do you also use single hook Carolina? I’ve had more luck with that and using a mud sucker drifting. Berkeley flats are good too. Good luck out there man! Weather should start getting better.
