I just got one of these.... 15 bucks at a pawn shop. I thought it would be a neat little project. There's 3 wires. What was the wire set up with the cig lighter plug? Red is power...white is memory...black is ground. My fuse box is under the hood and they are not the tube fuses. I read it cannot take over 2 amps. So, not sure where to connect it. How do you run an antenna? Thanks for the vid.

yes . red is hot white is memory black is negative. best to run it straight to the battery with a 2Amp fuse . doing this eliminates all RF interference from your car’s electronics . or you can but a cigarette lighter attachment. buy a magnet mount antenna for CB radio. don’t get a cheep one ! then you need to RUclips ( how to set SWR for CB Radio) you got to match your antenna to the radio. it sounds like a lot but it’s not. hope this helps. 73s 406 caveman

Hello, greetings, I am new to amateur radio and I have the same radio that you are testing, which antenna do you recommend for this equipment? They sell me a 47 MHz Syrian and an 800 MHz Motorola.

the Wilson , tram or Stryker . 10-11 meter 26-28 MHz cb radio , mobile or base antenna will work for you. just remember to stay within your frequency range and keep an eye on your SWR . hope this helps. 73s 406 caveman .

Hum… try working the squelch and RF gain knob back and forth a bit those variable pots tend to get corroded over time . If that does not.work then there’s something wrong in the electronics. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.. 73s 406 caveman.
