Man, i never thought i will feel bad for the main character, this guy is pretty much made invincible to see how much pain he can endure. Unlike the other superheroes who always win and are treated like gods. The Boys and Invincible pretty much got me back into superhero stuff.

The show handled their first meeting so much better than the comic did. It felt so much more natural there, and Mark's reaction was so much more believable for someone in that situation

The problem isn't that Viltrumites struggle with a tendency to violence, it's that they don't struggle with it. Anissa threatening his mother's life is that he has to meet with her before someone notices her clothing. But she did nothing to prevent this. She's tried nothing to avoid threatening people and she's all out of ideas. At no time has a Viltrumite spent more than a minute trying to convince someone before resorting to violence. Fundamentally they resent having to convince someone of anything, of not getting instant obedience.
Which is why they are evil. Despite their longevity, they have the impatience of children. War is Hell. It is bloody, and the circumstances one is in can be full of complexities, but the difference in decision-making should always be black and white. Good or bad. Mark knows this, and that's why he's the hero of this story. Viltrumites didn't understand that until Mark came along.

She didn't even raise her arms to resist. Just loved being choked. This has one of the greatest character developments in omni man in any comic book ever. as a reader and especially a watcher. you will not expect what happens after the first arc. This is one of the greatest comics ever written.

If Anissa sweet talk mark first before kissing her, she would be having a team of Marky's
I wish Anissa and Mark could have actually sat down and talked about it in the aftermath of everything. She regretted who she was and why she did it, but did not regret the outcome of it. Seeing her recognize the mistakes and wanting to convey her new mindset to Mark showed a lot of growth in her character in the end compared to who she was at the beginning. Kinda like how Earth and humanity changed Nolan, in time it was changing her as well.

But not only that, I'm trying to explain the sort of biases we all run around with in the everyday. We're chivalrous to women because we're stronger and bigger than they are - on average. We're, traditionally, less likely to villify them, instead seeing the best in them.

The original sleeping beauty had the prince assault the princess while she was asleep, and no one cared back then and hardly care now.
