Thanks for watching Jules! If you want to explore more on licensing, be sure to check out my Licensing Playlist. Quick disclaimer though, you have to watch me grow out my grey hair as you go through them...😂 Here you go: ruclips.net/video/ivtU4YKJidY/видео.html&pp=gAQB
Love this video! Great advice. You mentioned that you had a licensing deal for 10 years. Do you mind telling me what happens when your licensing deal ends? Do companies purchase your patent? Can you then pitch it to another company or run the company as your own?
Hi Antoinette, thank you! I love this question, maybe I should do a video on it also:) So, in that case, the sales just started to slow over time, which is normal for every product with a "shelf life", so when that happens it comes down to what was negotiated in the agreement. In that particular case, it converted from an exclusive to a non-exclusive agreement and then eventually they just cancelled it when they were finished selling it. Make sense?
Thanks for sharing this. I’m definitely new to this. Good information for sure.
So glad it was helpful MJ:)
Thank you I appreciate your "True Talk" nothing ever truly straight lol.😊❤
I have never licensed a patent, so I found this fascinating. Thank you for sharing your experience!
