I think the Trianon Dictate was the biggest tragedy for the country, more serious than communism or Nazism when it was cut into pieces and lost two-thirds of its territory and 60 percent of its population. People went to bed one night and then woke up in six different countries. Those hungarians still have to live on their land as minorities all around the current, crippled Hungary. That's why it is said that Hungary is a country surrounded by itself. Trianon is not the past; it is still the bitter present.
in hungary we learn about english, french, german, hungarian and worldwide history (this in less detail) in high school and wtf... tommy was here in my city lol
When you eventually loop round i recommend Galway if you do Ireland buddy 😋 Im in Dublin so won't be stalking ya 😂 as for Budapest, i never knew its history or expect a lesson.. tourism done right 😊
I think we will be heading over to Ireland brother! I fancy a culture shock like India but that requires a bit of planning I think. We are going to South America around October but have a couple months free from July, So Ireland is most certainly on the list :D Thanks for watching and the comment Marc!

That sounds horrific, yes I believe it was after world war 1? The treaty signed that lost 2/3 of the country, it is absolutely bizzare that happened
because of trianon hungary joined in on the side of the germans to get back its territories
Another great episode !! The hide of horror is all too common !!
Yeah exactly, I like to see whats happened over time in every place I go, paints a better picture for me- even if it's a gruesome picture!
Fabulously portrayed!
A must see if you plan to travel there.
Will definitely tread in your footsteps! :)
Thanks so much! let me know if you have any questions etc, happy to recommend a few places not shown in this video
the comparison with Greggs is wild🤣
I bring shame to my family for that comparison! haha.
