      @jamesdraper1457 hi mate, we booked via the company: www.amazonexperience.net/tours-search/ They have multiple prices depending on the duration you want to do (we did 4 days and 3 nights on Tour (Amazon experience . Net in case the link doesn’t work) I will also put in the comments now. Our tour guide was John Pierre AKA JP and his apprentice Martin. - Would highly reccomend them. There is a part 2 video coming of this amazing experience shortly. I felt pretty much every emotion, concerned, excited, on edge, adrenaline, but the guides have incredible knowledge both of animals/plants and their way through the jungle in daylight and darkness. Having done research I know it’s also a minefield as there’s so many companies doing amazing tours at different prices, so hopefully this helps. We did the 4 days 3 nights tour on pacaya Samira national reserve - as you go deeper into the jungle and wild camp in mosquito net tents

    1683 is actually late 17th century. And in the catacombs beneath St Stephan´s cathedral are just a very small handful of Habsburgs actually buried = 5 or 6 in the socalled "Herzogsgruft"(= Duke´s crypt). They vast majority of Habsburgs were buried in the "Kapuzinergruft/Kaisergruft"("Capuchin crypt"/"Emperor´s crypt") in the Capuchin abbey just 5 minutes per foot from St. Stephan´s. But their hearts are buried in funeral jars in St. Stephan´s. Because it was common practice to disembowel the bodies of aristocrats and to bury the hearts seperately from the body. The catacombs beneath St. Stephan´s is foremost the mass burial side of over 10.000 Viennese plague victims = black death, the very last black death epidemic was 1713 and there were several once before as well...and by the way that monument you showed in the pedestrian zone while pointing out Habsburg´s history of incest (which was all about keeping previously through marriages with other Houses acquired titels + crowns + belongings and properties in the family) was actually "The Plague column" built directly after the black death epidemic from 1679 in order to thank god that it was over...just a side note, but back to the catacombs = where due to lack of space the skelets of those over 10.000 plague victims were then taken apart and the bones were then stapled openly but thoroughly in 30 burial chambers from the floor till to the ceiling which is a creepy but also very fascinating view. And you can visit the catacombs daily, there are guidances twice a day for round 5 or 6 Euros. l´ll give you another inside according to Adolf Hitler´s Balcony speech which isn´t and wasn´t mentioned anywhere ever but explains the fanatic cheering crowd which you can see in those German propaganda pictures which went around the world. I got the inside from my Granddad who was actually there on that day. What the German´s did beforehand hours before Hitler gave his speech in order to get the masses on that square was placing around the square a whole bunch of military field kitchens for feeding the people because Vienna´s population was starving for years due to your already mentioned crazy hyperinflation. And military vehicles were cruising through the city inviting the people with loudspeakers to get there for something to eat and no word about Hiltler is gaving a speech. Now imagine you didn´t had a full belly for years and now suddenly someone is feeding you as like as there was no tomorrow for having a full belly for the very first time since felt ages..and suddenly that man who is feeding you right now appears on the balcony and starts to speak... you would praise him, wouldn´t you.

    18:30 You shouldn't believe everything you see in the House of Horror in Budapest. It was built to serve as the ideological background of the current right-wing, anti-democratic regime of Hungary. No wonder it's heavily biased. It over-emphasises the events of the Socialist era and whitewashes Hungarian Nazism. And now connect the dots. But I agree with you, the Tudors are boring. Especially that sadistic bigamist.

      @RyandLoz 6 месяцев назад

      Most importantly I’m glad you and your wife had a great time there, did you feel that the tour was rushed or slow in parts? My experience (baring mind it’s only the beginning of peak season) was that the taxis blocked the path not far from the cable car entrance down to the Mediterranean steps. There’s definitely a place for guided tours no doubt, but it was definitely on the extreme from my experience with the amount of taxi’s there. It wasn’t pleasant either hearing the other taxi’s beep at each other because they were stuck in a long line - behind the first taxi that would be taking pictures with monkeys etc.

    I think the Trianon Dictate was the biggest tragedy for the country, more serious than communism or Nazism when it was cut into pieces and lost two-thirds of its territory and 60 percent of its population. People went to bed one night and then woke up in six different countries. Those hungarians still have to live on their land as minorities all around the current, crippled Hungary. That's why it is said that Hungary is a country surrounded by itself. Trianon is not the past; it is still the bitter present.

      Döner is completely different in the UK. It's very greasy, made from unseasoned lamb from 100% mincemeat and it's not served in a Turkish ramazan pidesi flatbread with all the salads and sauces. You get a seperate polystyrene container full of iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato on top and a pot of garlic mayo. It has a reputation of being made for drunk people leaving the pub. I can eat the ones in Germany for breakfast in comparison. Indian food in the UK is next level though.

      @@lazrseagull54 wow, you hit the nail on the head there 🤣 it is most definitely a notorious ‘meal’ after a night on the booze - but it is super greasy for sure. 5:06, this is my friend Andrija haha. I will show him the video, its cool to see a prespective like this as a person who was born and raised here in Dubrovnik. I expecialy liked you talking with the locals, it was interesting 🙂. Good quality video and timeline to watch too. Also as for the prices, everything went up for us locals too, when we switched to Euros, but the average paycheck is around 1000 or a bit less Euros. For example a 0.5L bottle of orange juice, would cost like 6 or 7 kunas in a store. Now you will probably pay 2 euros or more for a soda and that would be around 15 kunas.Taxes are 25% and owning any business has a lot of expenses to even have it open. So its a bit of a rough time expecialy for low and middle class now i would say, hopefully the paychecks increase , more support for the locals to own a business , and last 2 years a lot of migrants have been coming and working for minimal wages, so that also has a big impact.

      Thanks for such a detailed comment and the kind words brother! Really glad you enjoyed the perspective- and greetings to your friend when you see him, he was a lovely chap! (Man) in the UK the prices have got much higher in recent times - the fuel for cars, food and electric (the whole cost of living) is really high and although the average salary is a bit higher than Croatia - many people and businesses are still really struggling, many shops are closed because of this. I hope things improve to help the good local people of Dubrovnik and Croatia, Beautiful city and Country.

    England fans singing a song written by a Scouser an they love it. Normally they sing songs taking the piss out of Scousers……that’s the level of their mentality right there

      I find scouters differentiate themselves with being English, similar ‘rivalry’ to Scotland disliking the association of England because of the UK thing
