I purchased one of these and the movement was virtually impossible to set. The second hand, minute and hour hands would take turns leaping around the dial when you pushed in the crown. Finally the GMT hand joined in on the rebellion. The calendar display forgot to advance one midnight, so that was an issue as well. The crown seemed to skip (gear crunching inside) Needless to say, I sent it back. I’ve seen others online who’ve had this complaint with the Mingzhu 5833 movement. I recommend staying away from this movement.
Great review, and I agree with you on all points. My version doesn't have the screw-down crown but the same glitches with the movement, it seems. I didn't care for the bracelet at all so I have it on a rubber strap at the moment. I have a 7.5 inch wrist and it sits nicely, but i do wish it were a little smaller. All in all, it's ok. I am sure there will be better versions coming out in the future.
Whaddya want for a C note? It keeps good time, looks good, wears ok, has sapphire, passable fit and finish.
And, not afraid to wear it.
Just bought the version 2 white dial today for $75.00 USD.
It is what it is. An everyday beater. I think the quality hits way above the $75 I paid.
Should I go for the V2 or V3?

The Mingzhu movements can be a bit hit or miss, the PD-1662 I had was actually very good, but this one was 'ok' at best.
interesting how the crystal is proud about half a mm. So it's really only a 12mm thick watch probably which is good!

Thanks for your feedback.
@@themechanicaltimepiece6288 will a 21mm oyster bracelet fit this watch?
I enjoy mine. I’m no millionaire so I have a homage collection and this one is one of my favorites
How do u adjust the time?
I really like this watch bin thinking of it for my next watch but in a white dial
What size oyster clasp would fit on this?
Good review.
I have one and the GMT hand is basically worthless….loses time. I’d pass on the Chinese GMT movement. The rest of it is great…. What a shame too.
It is better or bliger
Material's and good made
I have not had hands on the Bliger, so cannot comment really, but from pictures I have seen, I would suggest that this is slightly better.
It is not a Rolex! Don't expect Rolex quality for a few quid, what it is, is great value.
Why not just buy a Christopher ward explorer homage? So much better quality and tasteful than these lazy ripoffs
