Hey man, don't know if you'll check this. I'm just wondering.. As someone who's been on a hiatus for that long, how big of a difference is there in the software there is available now compared to when you started?
Ah man i dont even know about you for that long and you must be the first artist but i really like every bit of your content i heard so far man straight g things!! From sample packs to production (tutorials) to the little clips of your shows man keep goin g
So I get the technical aspects but but what drives you to sculp the sound you are looking for? I guess what I'm asking is what are you thinking about when doing this? Are you inspired by other peoples work & your past tracks or are you always looking for something totally different & original? This is the part I get stumped on, my creative direction. 🤔
Depro Nine it’s more having the understanding of how to build a good Sound and then experimenting with the synth. I suppose experience teaches me when something is sonically correct. How long have you been producing?
Any tips where to begin from absolutely zero? I have some understanding of how DnB tracks are made, and I’ve got a pc with FL Studio, should I look for tutorials on youtube or get some books? Or just mess around in the program and try to figure it out? I love dnb and sound designs and feel quite inspired especially when listening to the music and would love to be able to make my own music, I just don’t know where to actually begin :/
tried applying what you did in the tutorial but could not get the growl effect. Plus the speed of sound was slow... maybe because I am using a different version of Serum? Anyways I ended up designing my own Reeselike bass sound
Aelon Prod I turned it off for this patch. It’s not so much a tutorial of how to make this patch. It’s more how I use serum to make patches. The key is to modulate lots of things with the same source.
Osc 1: Lfo1 assigned to detune and blend amount Also Osc 1: Unison=1 Cool trick right there 🤣🤣 Going to fx section.. Reverb is not a reverb, nor type of filter if the mix is turned down to zero.. That's a fact If you want a good advice forget serum fx. It kills creativity, learned that the hard way..
This is excellent! As someone who is just getting back into DnB production after a 10 year hiatus, this kind of info is invaluable.
Necro 42X thanx man! That’s kind of the idea :) cuts out all the unnecessary stuff :)
I'm in the same boat...

erb N dub not too long I get frustrated & tend to give up. 😓
Depro Nine it takes years to get to hear correctly. Theory is 50% of the skill. Stay on it!!!!

Dear Brother, Im looking for a specific bass, it's a kind of sine bass, Can you help me to find it if I send you a sample ? Thank you
why is LFO 1 modulating oscillator A detune when theres only 1 unison? Surely that's doing fuck all?
Thank you 🙏🏻
My pleasure!
Great tutorial mate...not seeing the sounds your using for the oscillators though maybe I’m missing something
They are part of the Erb N Dub serum pack. Link in info
But we're so I get the wave tables
Translation: But where do I get the wavetables?
You could draw them in
Where'd you get the wavetable for Osc B?
tried applying what you did in the tutorial but could not get the growl effect. Plus the speed of sound was slow... maybe because I am using a different version of Serum? Anyways I ended up designing my own Reeselike bass sound
why are you using the reverb filter when the mix knob is at 0% ?
littleskeets from memory it was on 1 or 2 percent. Or maybe I didn’t use it... Check the patch if you have the pack
yo bro... can u pass the wavtable for osc b? unfortunately i ain't got a way to buy it... mi credit card expired and i gotta get this wavetable
Ray Onslaught is it this one? www.dropbox.com/s/f9v62u5w0x88521/eguitar.wav?dl=0
@@erbndub No its the 303 one on oscilator B
@@erbndub I would buy it but I don't got a credit card :(
Can't get the resonating effect on my wavetables... how to accomplish this?
i got the resonating effect... just need the 303 wavetable for oscilator B. :(
Why are you modulating the unison detune of oscillator a if there is no unison on it?
Aelon Prod I turned it off for this patch. It’s not so much a tutorial of how to make this patch. It’s more how I use serum to make patches. The key is to modulate lots of things with the same source.
