Indian classical musics are awesome. I am a Bengali Indian from Assam and I like the Carnatic classical music more than the Hindustani classical music though I don't understand any language of southern part of India. Love from Assam(Awesome)❤️🇮🇳
The great Sena dynasty of Bengal was began by Sena family from Karnataka The Senas ruled Bengal for 250 years This period was the gokden age for Bengali literature architecture The greatest King of this dynasty Laxmana Sena had nine gems of literature arts etc in his court King Laxmana Sena built Dhaka city named after Dhakeshwari Devi family Godess of the Kannada dynasty The Senas also captured vast areas of UP Bihar The great Sankara Gaureeswara temple in Kashmir was built by King Laxmana Sena
Series of Raga Alapane with notes for veena students, am doing. Students are enjoying as it is very helpful for getting basic knowledge to understand Ragas❤
Just 5 notes excellent tune "Raaga" very good explained and talented teacher congrats.
Mam in my flute in ragam mohanam I have learnt : Varaveena Mrudupani Ninnu kori Swagatham Krishna Fun fact : The Tamil song Ninnu kori varnam from Agni Natchathiram movie is in the Ragam mohanam
Ma'am this is brilliant initiative to introduce ragas one by one .... Please continue this series.... 👍🏼👍🏼 Please cover Karnatic Shudhh Saveri or Pharaj as well
Wow Wonderful listening to the ragam and the tip.. I actually practice along side you on V G app geetams.. This is another addition.. Thanks Pratibha mam
Wonderful way of describing the raaga in brief. In this way if we learn raagas We'll get better foundation for each raaga and hence we will be able to recognize raagas of the unkown songs better. We reaallly appreciate your effort! And I would like to see vasantha, naata, kalyani, shankarabharanam. in the upcoming videos of yours. Thannkk yoouu.!
Very nice! Great initiative. Was pretty useful. For a beginner like me, I wish you had the following in this video 1. Wish you covered about how to sing the right swarasthanams, mainly focusing on higher variant Re instead of lower; Same applies for Ga and Dha as said. This will help us to understand the outline of this Raga instead of singing the wrong variant 2. Wish you covered how to sing the brief sketch of the Raga as sung at 0:45 beautifully. Understanding it will help us to enjoy more about how these swaras are connected and sung as exhibited Thanks many for all that done so far. Simply great. Amazing indeed.
That's frankly asking for a lot from these quick digest-type videos. You'll either need a guru to guide you on how to sing notes and ragas properly, or some serious dedication on your own to look these things up. Thankfully, Carnatic music is highly standardized and lots of resources are available for the self-learner.
@@elborrador333 Im afraid I have to deny the fact that I’m asking a lot. I feel that is your opinion and view point. Respect that though. It is important to convey the feedback of what it feels after watching, given the fact that pratibha is starting this Raga series new. These sort of constructive feedback will help them to create even better content (it’s already awesome though). And help them towards what can be free and what cannot be... so that they can monetize and earn a living as well. Between I’m a student of their school. Wish you good luck!
Prathiba is amazing .. what an idea Sir ji types ... its great contribution thought and it is very effectively presented both vocal and the technology visuals...
Wonderful series evaa!!! Very much informative and helpful for younger generation!!! I kindly request you to continue this series in few more basic ragas pleasee!! Luv u mam❤✨
Rudravenai a serial in TV I saw long back in which it says certain ragas change the mood. eg., IF a neighbour house suffering in hunger and if certain Raga played the mind changes and he goes to the neighbour and gives food. In your teachings of Ragas please mention how it changes the mood of a person. Also it was told that certain Ragas if you play for certain number of days it will rain etc., Thanks for all music classes. The world will benefit of your teachings.
As an amateur singer trained only in western music, it's really difficult for me to distinguish the swaras from each other because of the gamakas. I love listening to these small performances; they're lovely.
I am an amateur singer, not able to find swarams while singing with gamakas, but have great love for music. Going to try practicing swaras and singing which will certainly help I think.
Dear Akka, you have started a beautiful series...this should continue...could you kindly give a small glimpse of how the Hindustani variant is sung...in every episode...🌟🌟
Interesting episode, well covered , Thank You 😊 🙏🏽 I am learning this Raga currently, I don’t think I can ever say I have learnt any Ragas 😄 I am aware of few Ragas like Bhupali, Bhairav, Hamsadwani, Yaman, Bhairavi, Todi, Kannada, Janjoti, Kalyan’s, kharaharapriya, while learning Jatiswaras .
