Naruto's signature jutsu (multiple shadow clone) is forbidden, but he'll never get punished for it because he is actually one of the only characters in the naruto universe that can use it that much by being 100% safe due to his huge amount of chakra.
Ino revealing herself was likely to assess Kakashi's injuries from defending against that lightning style attack, and being available to heal if necessary, with likely Shikamaru and Choji covering them. She's the medical ninja of this squad and has to be ready to act on that in a moment's notice to prevent death or repair injuries that could lead up to that. Her position in the squad is also why she can't afford to be an active combatant: "What happens to the squad if the medical ninja dies?"

I like the detail of Asuma and Kurenai being in the hospital and then meeting Kakashi there while being together and also Asuma quitting smoking and saying something like it hardly matters now when he asks for his last cigarette.... the foreshadowing of the pregnancy is quite nice.... also Kurenai being in civil clothes this whole arc, though she's a ninja... all very nice and subtle signs

KAKASHI IS THE FUCKIN GOAT. not always the strongest but his analytical skills and fighting style are so cool. he was taking on hidan while thinking of kakuzu’s abilities like it was nothing. shikamaru is one of the best characters as well, just learn to not doubt his plan even if it seems obvious or stupid at first. when he tried to slice his head off again and said “not deep enough” 🥶. that shit was so cold. also getting rid of one of kakazu’s hearts is SUPER significant and the plan would’ve been worth it for that alone. i love that he didnt need naruto and crew to aid him in the fight. unfortunately ino and choji were useless but it just shows how broken the akatski are. plus without ino they wouldn’t have known were the akatski were. Not that it would have fit the lip flaps if they did, but I can't imagine his dub voice actor screaming 'Fire Style: Intelligent Hard Work' in that gravelly, menacing voice. I bring this up only because the other jutsu he uses through his Masked Beasts, 'Wind Style: Pressure Damage' and 'Lightning Style: False Darkness', _are_ direct translations of their Japanese names.
Kakuzu's innards have been entirely replaced by those threads he uses to both remotely manipulate his own body as well as repair others'. He has full control of those threads, and aside from the above he can also manipulate them internally to bolster his offensive and defensive capabilities.
Hidan and Kakuzu were way too cool for what little screen time they had...and Kakuzu especially also was a freakin monster that got defeated way too easily, a huge loss for the Akatsuki. He had the upper hand throughout the entire fight, if it wasn't for Naruto developing a crazy OP jutsu that one-shot all his remaining hearts at once then Kakuzu would've probably killed them all and captured Naruto. Not to mention that he didn't take the fight serious before he lost his 2nd heart and the reinforcements appeared shortly after...it is revealed at another time that his tendrils can rip out a heart and implant it in himself in like 2sec, and multiple at the same time, so the fact he didn't kill Ino and Choji (when he held them both by their necks) to restock his hearts shows he didn't even remotely think he could lose at that point. Like, I was genuinely so disappointed when he got killed so soon and so fast...the two scenes where each his Wind and Fire mask absolutely devastate the entire landscape in front of them respectively, are so damn cool...as simply by opening their mouths they shoot arguably the strongest single-element jutsus of their type we've seen so far in the story. And later the Wind Mask just casually rapid fires the same jutsu that even Shukaku (the One Tailed) had to deeply inhale every time he shot a single one... To reiterate: Kakuzu was a freaking MONSTER...and he got defeated WAY too easily🥲

'The Ninja With Cloud Envy'. I related to him the most when OG Naruto first aired, and as time went on, he just proved to be more and more awesome. The Chunin exams, the Sasuke retrieval arc, and this, and he continues to be awesome. Hands down a better best friend to Naruto than Sasuke ever was.

47:23 I'm sure someone already pointed out that in the manga, Shikamaru takes on the habit of smoking for some time after Asuma's death. He smokes a cigarette in front of Hidan, too. And in this scene in the manga, Asuma kind of manifests from the smoke.
