Nice Chanel could buy Kristen Stewart's way onto the jury. They got a free 2-week fashion show where she wore their products every day. That's how it works in France, where Chanel is a main brand and the director of the festival has few scruples.
Clearly austin yearwood doesn't know anything about how the entertainment business works. Chanel sponsored events (translation: PAID MONEY TO THE FESTIVAL), threw parties, and paid a lot of money for advertising and PR to benefit Cannes. They do it every time Stewart goes to Cannes because they have to grease the wheels to make her career exist.

He said, "I will thank whoever paid for it." He knows the score even if stupid KStew fans don't. They aren't awarded on merit, they go to the highest bidder. In France, that's Chanel. You notice she isn't even nominated for any major awards in the US? Because Chanel has no pull in the US.

Personal Shopper made back its money. Kristen only stopped buying her hype a long time ago and took second-billing roles.
American Ultra flopped because it was poorly marketed. Billy Lynn flopped because Ang Lee had the "brilliant" idea of casting as the titular character not because Kristen was in it.
Cafe Society made back its money as well.
As for Jennifer Lawrence. Fuck her Oscar and fuck her and all her nominations too.
Jessica Chastain was CLEARLY the better choice for Zero Dark Thirty. As for Joy and American Hustle, Lawrence did not deserve those nominations. Kristen still has made more film appearances than Lawrence between the years 2014 and 2017. To make more movies than an Oscar winner sounds like pretty fucking flourishing career to me.
Have you seen Lawrence's box office lately? The way things are going she may need to go the indie route like Kristen.

Typical dimb KStew fan, touting quantity over quality Who cares how many movies she's made? 12 minutes as a supporting character in someone else's film is not a big deal, and that's half of her career. Personal Shopper did not make a profit. Why are KStew fans too stupid to know how to calculate a profit on a film? It's not a simple cost ratio. It would have needed to make $12 million before it hit the profit threshold because ticket sales are split with the theaters, they don't go back to the producers in full.
They lost money on PS just like they have on all her other indies. She's a flop at the box office, numbers don't lie the way her fans do. Equals was so bad, it lost the entire #28 million budget.
American Ultra flopped because it was a bad movie. Lionsgate spent a lot on marketing, so that wasn't the problem. Audiences just don't like her. Billy Lynn flopped for many reasons, but she was no help. She couldn't even do a southern accent like the rest of the cast. She stank. Cafe Society did not make it's money back. Stop lying. A film doens't "make it's money back" until it shows a profit and that has to be 2 or 3 times the production budget. They don't break even when they simply take in the cost of the production budget.
You are too dumb to discuss things like this, they're over your head.
It's funny how bitter and petty KStew fans are over Jen Lawrence. She's a far better actress and person than KS will ever be, and the whole world agrees, which is why she has a real BAFTA, not a fake one voted on by her fans, Golden Globes, Oscars and just about every other award.
Jen can act circles around the one-note Stewart, and she's likeable. I wouldn't worru about her box office if I were you. She's still commanding a $10 million salary, something KS hasn't seen since 2012, lol.
