The level of quality in the finish is as good as my Ayotte Customs. The finish I had was similar except Candy apple red stain with darker red at each end of shell just like these. That was their most expensive finish. The kit was $ 5 k for a bebop 5 piece. They were a bit fancier with re-rings and 18 ply snare but still Tama I'd amazing for putting such a phenomenal kit out for that price. I want one now too even tho I'd never gig with large drums. So nice!
Thankfully these days you don’t need to spend a but load of money to have a high end sound of a drumset that’s not high end after I got my set of these I don’t think I’m going to ever upgrade these are fabulous I love the fact that you get a 7 piece I would love to take the whole drumset and play any gig I could imagine
I would love to but I do not have the proper equipment to mic the drums anymore. I am not a fan of one mic to record drums, it just does not sound good to me.
I have made a few since you have posted this comment. Check out my video called "High Latency | Tama Superstar Classic". This is the most recent video I have made with this kit.
Weird, I guess I will have to cut one when they are dead. I had read an article from Modern Drummer that they were single-ply heads . "The stock heads include Tama's Power Craft II clear single-ply (10 mil) on the toms, a coated single-ply snare batter, a clear single-ply bass drum"
@@howesguitars they may be I assume they are 2 ply because I have never had 1 ply heads last more than a could weeks and I have had these almost 3 months and have only a few slight dents
Stock Powercraft II heads are 1-ply 10-mil. I've had this kit for a little over a year now. Currently running Aquarian Performance II (2-ply clear) on it. I've also had Evans G2 coated (2-ply), Aquarian Studio-X (1-ply), and Aquarian Focus-X coated (1-ply). Performance II are my favorites so far.
Nothing like waking up in the morning to a new drum set smell.
Yup I’m still smelling mine damn they smell good !!!
I love the look and sound of these drums glad I own these .
Beautiful finish on those! I love my SSCs, great value and you got a great deal on this kit. Congrats!
Congrats man. Very nice kit. This finish is pretty hard to come by now.🤙

That’s UPS for ya, I ordered a Tama soundworks maple snare and UPS delivered it by dropping the box hard on my front porch. Nice kit though!

Thanks God, nothing were damaged.
