It was trash in many ways from pacing to writing. The only thing that works is the casting of the family. Without that, i wouldnt care bout their future appearances. @@ghostmkc4045 What if it wasn't actually Taskmaster and the person who is actually Taskmaster shows up later? Was the pacing too slow or two fast? The writing is decent at best imo, but it's definitely not trash.

I love Yelena and hope we get to see more of her in the future. Florence Pugh nailed the little sister part....and the Red Guardian is great too.
Honestly, I hate the recast. I understand it was necessary, but there are far better actors to cast in the role. And it's not that Harrison Ford is bad, he's just not someone I can see playing Thunderbolt Ross.

Taskmaster first appeared in Avengers #195 in May 1980. He was a former SHIELD agent named Tony Masters, turned world class mercenary, spy and assassin for hire. Taskmaster has a photographic memory, which he can use to emulate or perfect any fighting styles, attacks or movements he watches, including but not limited to the attacks and fighting styles of Spider-Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Daredevil and many more. He opened his own school to train other supervillains in various forms of combat. He is a master of all firearms, swords, shields, bows, and demolitions, as well as being a master of many forms of martial arts. He is considered to be the most dangerous and formidable assassin in the entire world, rivaled only by Elektra Natchios and Bullseye.
Glad you're making your way through more MCU. This movie was good but lots of fans were frustrated that Black Widow didn't get her own movie sooner like she deserved, so this, being a movie in the past we knew that she'd survive. The best thing was Yelena, what a fantastic character and the new Black Widow.
The whole " being a movie in the past we knew she would survive cuz she died later on" is so dumb. Shes the main character of the film she wouldnt die anyway😂😂

What a good reaction!! A funny thing about it? While it would have been fantastic in phase one, the cast is what makes it so special. I LOVED the family interactions and adore Yelena.
I’m so mad, Black Widow deserved a better movie than this and yes, it was way overdue. It’s like they changed directors in the middle of the movie. But it’s still entertaining tho.
Fun Fact: Natasha's and Yelena's mom, Melina Vostokoff is one of Natasha's worst enemies in the comics. In Earth-616, she was so determined to defeat Natalia, she chose to work with an organization that gave her an armored exoskeleton, and became the Iron Maiden. They had intense battles, back and forth banter. Yet, here in Earth-199999, Melina and Natasha are generally on good terms. Melina is a hero. This never happens to arch-enemy male villains in comic book adaptations. If a male villain does end up on good terms, he still had intensity with the male hero when adapted into notable roles. Daddy Dreykov's generic water-bread self should not have stayed the top dog villain.
Black Widow is my favorite Marvel comic book character period. Even before Scarlet Johansson brought her to the live screen. Course, it didn't hurt either. 😂 Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova are not biologically related. They did not realize it was all a cover for their "parents" espionage mission. 😢 The Taskmaster has photo-reactive reflexes, meaning an ability to mimic any observed motion. So fight like Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Panther, etc. 😮 "The beacon is lit!!!". "And Rohan will answer the call!". 😆 The Crimson Dynamo is a Russian supervillain based off of Tony Stark's Iron Man armor. Much as Red Guardian was Russia's answer to America's super soldier program. Iron Man 2 had an appearance of Ivan Vanko who was a combination of Iron Man Villains Whiplash and the Crimson Dynamo. 😮
@11:54 -- smart call, though by the end of the upcoming car chase sequence we can see that yelena's sheer ruthlessness gives her an edge which nat either lost or gave up since joining the avengers.

There is no tension in any of these fights as Yelena and Natasha go straight to buddy-buddy (enjoyable duo but still), the other Red Room Operatives do not want to do what they did, and Antonia is the top drone. Antonia was the one character who would have been an interesting vengeful person who would not just up and forgive nor excuse Nat. Maybe even play the long game working under her father, just to overthrow him herself. Hence, her gaining Avengers' skills and weaponry would have showed determination that makes anybody scary. I will never be ok with the writers not letting Antonia be conscious throughout. As her outcome in this movie, at least for me, is bland AF.

Have ya'll reacted to the falcon and the winter soldier
And the 3 last episodes of loki? I don't understand this "new" programing :(
We have an editor he did not give me Loki back. He gave me what would’ve been. Loki is coming.
This one was one of the better ones from phase 4, although I will say Ticketmaster was much better in the comics. What if is next but you can skip that and go into Shang Chi. What if is interesting as it introduces you into the idea of a multiverse. Shang Chi is a really good movie.
they already started What If on patreon
@@c-mc I regret nothing
Ticketmaster? was the Ticketmaster a scalper that copied other entertainers performances on paper and sold them at a higher price?
You guys have to watch the defenders saga starting with Daredevil season 1.
It’s in the MCU.
no it isn't
@@c-mcdaredevil is in the mcu lil bro
@@matthewmcenhill5408 the character yes, the show no

@@c-mc bro they bringing punisher back.
Sucks Ross{William Hurt)was noticeably sick in this movie with cancer rip
Now you guys need to watch Hawkeye. I thought it was good, not great, but furthered this story a little bit.
Watch Hawkeye!
I really like this movie. I will admit it did a bad job of showing how dangerous Taskmaster really is and really changed his origin. I'm not even a Taskmaster fan.
He'll probably pop up down the road and be as dangerous as he should be. He didn't need to be that dangerous here.
@@passionsquietrage I don't see how. She was "cured" at the end.
@@EpicDave The woman using the name Taskmaster in this movie was cured. Who's to say that someone else won't take up the mantle, the person who is actually Taskmaster in the comics?
Cause seeing how these movies are going Taskmaster is a distant dream.
@@EpicDave These movies aren't going that badly. Taskmaster could still happen.
now watch hawkeye series to see more yelena
So,you didn't finish Loki series 🙂
no its on its way!
