I grew up watching this movie, and Captain Von Trapp & Maria have always got my heart going all pitter patter.
Its hard to find a good song combo for a movie this old, but this one just seemed to fit for me, making my heart melt just a little too much with all the feels.

Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer were simply magical on the screen together. Whether they were yelling at each other or professing their love in a moonlit gazebo, their chemistry was so natural.

I agree and that's what made their union so special. There were times, especially at the film's outset, of loud and unyielding confrontation, and that led to a strong and unbreakable bond between them. You cannot truly ever love and respect someone if you cannot tell them the truth. Maria and the Captain were absolute magic!
